  • Bashir Bilour assassinated in a bomb blast in Peshawar.

PESHAWAR: Senior Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bashir Ahmed Bilour passed away in Peshawar's Lady Reading Hospital after doctors failed to resuscitate him. He was critically injured in a suicide attack in Peshawar, Geo News reported.

The blast also left 6 others dead and 18 injured, sources said.

The attack took place when Bashir Bilour was exiting the residence of a local ANP leader following a meeting along with his personal secretary and SHO Kabuli Police Station.

Both the personal secretary Noor Mohammed as well as the SHO, Sattar Khan were killed on the spot while 18 others were injured. According to hospital sources, Bashir Bilour was brought to the hospital in critical condition and was unconscious.

Bashir Bilour - who repeatedly termed the fight against terrorism as 'our own battle' - had received critical wounds to his chest and stomach.

The Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan have claimed responsibility for the attack.

May Allah rest his soul in peace. This is war. one kills other dies and vice versa. This happens when you deliberately impose war on yourself.

Im neither sad nor happy with the death of this person.....if we compare your and mine comments yours are far more bloodthirsty.

Is there any lie behind my statement,he fell prey either to the ISI or Blackwater or some bloodthirsty TTP who were upset with his statements.

And all pakistani politicians are criminals.

Oh come on. You are the biggest provacateur here with the near daily pokes and prods... So the kid poked and Prodded you after one of your heroes became "shaheed" since the word is applied to everyone and their mother. Why not do something constructive like eulogize him and tell us who he was and what he accomplished?

^ Barakzai, Bilour was on the hit list and already escaped many suicide attacks. But unlike others he didn't run towards Islamabad after the attacks on him neither he went to London to condemn via telephone. He stood in the front row like a man. #RESPECT!!

So let's agree that he was a criminal. Is this the way to punish the criminals?

Unlike you and your bloody ilk who sit in the US and enjoy its lavishes including medical education at one of its institutions but go on spitting in the same plate from which they eat as all Akhwani crooks do, Bashir Bilour stood his ground against barbarism moving around freely among masses like a common man even at risk to his life.

That makes him a better human-being than you.

I have heard the wine-engulfing womanizing playboy had advised his divorced wife not to come to the march to Waziristan for the risk to her life and later gave out an interview in which he said he is not speaking against Taleban for concerns about the safety of PTI cadres in Pukhtunkhwa.

Terrorists have imposed this war on the unfortunate people of that region. Driven by their misanthropy and insane agenda, the bruits have tried to eliminate every one that has not bowed to them slaughtering innocent people in mosques, markets, bazars, etc.

Nevertheless barbarism has never won against civilization; Stone-age cavemen are no match to the sophisticated ways of the modern man. Down the road in a decade they are going to be a story of the past only their brutal behavior live in history pages for "ibrath".
