Punjab and KPK seem to be focusing on education----I wish there could be cross-province collaborative effort especially in the field of improving quality of education. Recently, a friend who returned from KPK, told me, there is a rush to education and a lot of investment is going on in education. That means expansion of services sector ultimately and earlier mobility of workforce from low-skilled jobs to high-skilled jobs and also earlier adoptation of modern technology.

Defense deparment is a Civilian Role, not a combat one. The civilian heirarchy sits above the Chiefs of staff.
