You do know that Shariah has, since Islam arrived, almost always been in use in Somali society, right?
You do know that the current internationally recognised "government" implements Shariah right?

On what basis do you claim that the people want a secular (whereby Islam is not involved at all in any state affairs) government?

Oh! Is it because "my" (<-- lol) Islamist cronies are undermining relief efforts?

Bro, you can propagate your secularism all you want here but the truth is the people's mindset and traditions won't change simply because you want it to. They have been dying for years at the hands of "your" secularists, at the hands of Islamists, at the hands of foreign troops, at the hands of warlords, as a result of tribal conflicts etc....

You cannot speak for the Somali people.
You want us to think that they want your secularist ideology when that is obviously not the case.
You cannot back up your claim other than assuming because of current 'hardships' which are exasperated by certain groups the Somali people will abandon their long-held traditions that have been ingrained in their beliefs.....as if others have never imposed any 'hardships' on them before.

Well retro, come back to me some solid evidence that the majority of Somalis would like a secular government whereby Islam has no say at all with state matters.
Until then don't make such silly claims.

The Han Chinese are very racist towards foreigners. Turkic people are mixed race and in traditional Chinese culture, such people are viewed as being, less than animals. What is more, Turkic/Hunnic peoples are traditional enemies of the Han (Tang Chinese).

The Uighurs, Tibetans and Mongols are all seeming being subjected to Sinoification and will all be fixed and turned into good little Chinese worker/slaves. Much of Central Asia and the Russian far East could not inconceivable suffer the same fate. As Russia really isn't a counter to China. India is very possible large and powerful enough to hold it's own against China. However India's also basically an overpopulated basketcase and I doubt that it can compete with China industrially.

Now that it is independent, South Sudan has control over three quarters of Sudans oil production and you can sure that South Sudan will no doubt become another servile, Christian African Chinese client.

Hence your Arab overlords grasp is slipping in Africa and now China has North Africa and the Middle East nicely flanked. It's makes sence for Chinese backed, African groups to slowly start infiltrating North Africa and the Middle East.

Do you see why Europe has been meddling around in Libya? Europe was never going to tolerate a Sino-Russian vassal right on it's door.

It's a pity that you don't know what your babbling about isn't it? The US economy is four times larger than China's and Europe's is even larger.

well, the Muslims in Somarlia as a whole want Sharia rule, so these few who want secularism are in a minority, and can boot themselves out, and live in Paris.

'West to blame for Africa famine'

                  Fri Jul 29, 2011 3:25AM GMT

Tens of thousands of people are dying of starvation in the Horn of Africa due to some Western nations' policy to ignore economic development there, says an analyst.

“Certain ... financial and political establishments in Great Britain, the United States, and elsewhere [made it their policy] not to develop the Horn of Africa economically,” Lawrence Freeman, an editor of Executive Intelligence Review, told Press TV.

“That [policy] says Africans do not have the right to live, and we don't care if they die. And we are going to let them die,” he added.

Freeman elaborated that the British oligarchy believes that there are too many people in the world, so if Africans die, the world population will decrease.

The analyst described the Horn of Africa as an area where economic development can prevent the 'genocide' that is currently taking place there.

He also criticized the international community for their sluggish response to the massive human tragedy unfolding on the drought-stricken African continent.

The UN has called for immediate action to contain the widespread famine in the Horn of Africa, where some 12 million people are in need of emergency aid in the drought-hit region.

The United Nations Food and Agriculture Agency (FAO) says the famine is killing hundreds of people in Africa every day, warning that conditions will worsen in the coming months.

No the militant Muslim group Al Shabab are in only in control of half of Somalia (not the whole country) and they have had Sharia law in the militant parts of the country for years. Somalia is in a state of civil war and is run by warlords. Those guys in that video are Somali regional leaders (war lords) and they are opposing Al Shabab. As they looking to defect towards Somalia's governments forces, which they assume is secular, since it's Western backed.

Did you know that Somalia is black listed along with Afghanistan and Burma (another Opium, narco state), as the worlds most oppressive nations to live in? Positively charming crowd aren't you.

Anyway Al Shabab are preventing the distribution of food in Somalia, as they aren't in a good position militarily and the governments forces have been slowly closing in on them.

The situation in Ethiopia and Kenya is also deteriorating and the entire region is plagued by drought. Ethiopia has far to many people and since that major famine back in the 80's their population as doubled. However they are also one of the most developed and prosperous nations in Africa.

I know that the Somalis are seemingly favour the creation of a secular government. However I have know idea how this might happen. The AU/UN are completely useless and short of air dropping aid to the worst effected areas. I don't see what can be done. Africa is massive overpopulated and their are over a billion people in Africa. However it's a very arid, content and it simply can't support it's present population.

There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

Somalia has been forced to slaughter or sell it's livestock due to drought.

                                By ARAB NEWS

                                Published: Jul 30, 2011 22:52 Updated: Jul 30, 2011 22:52

JEDDAH: A shipment of more than 21,000 livestock and 2,000 camels from Somalia arrived at Jeddah Islamic Port on Saturday.

The shipment is one of many yet to come and is expected to cover the needs of the livestock market for the month of Ramadan.

Suleiman Al-Jabri, head of the livestock committee at the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI), expected livestock prices to decline.

Al-Jabri announced that shipments carrying more than a million livestock would arrive in the next few days at Jeddah port to cover local market needs for the month of Ramadan and until Haj.

"The availability of imported livestock in the market will help reduce prices by 10 percent," he said. He praised the role of the Ministry of Agriculture and Ministry of Commerce in monitoring the local market.

Al-Jabri denied any increase in livestock prices with the start of Ramadan. He said prices were declining in the past few days after permission was granted to import livestock from Somalia.

He added that the livestock committee sent recommendations to the Ministry of Agriculture and Ministry of Commerce on the importance of supporting livestock businessmen and importers as it would help reduce prices.

"There was an agreement to support livestock businessmen in light of the global price increases and because of the declining value of the dollar. This forced many traders to temporarily stop importing from countries like Australia because their prices are not suitable for the local consumer. There was a shortage of livestock in the local market, which forced prices to increase. The price increase drove some traders to import frozen meat, which was also not suitable for consumers," he said.
