  • also the tie of a husband and wife is greater than the tie of friendship....
look at the wives of the Prophets Lut and Nuh... being in the presence of a prophet does not make u a saint or excuse ur actions

did I mention the incident of the door???? something which even Tabari (sunni historian seems 2 aknowledge) Im talking abt Fadak and ur hadith which back up the claims that she died angry with him

      • but since u bought up the door incident (true or not)
        lets see

"Umar came to the house of Fatima and said: "O' Daughter of the Prophet of God! I swear by God that we love no one more than your father, and after him we love no one more than you. Yet I swear by God that that won't stop me from gathering these people and commanding them to burn this house down!" In Ibn Abi Shayba (a teacher of Bukhari) al-Musanaf, vol. 7

Mutah or Misyar (whatever) makes a mockery of marriage.
Unknown, I never presented such a hadeeth, I think you got it wrong?

The fact is the few hadiths you have shown are very weak, and open to multiple interpretations.
Could you tell us how do you guys evaluate narrations (i.e. how do you categorize certain hadeeths as week or strong; on what basis)? The hadith I posted (if you check) have been reported by Bukhari and Muslim multiple times. What does this tell you about it's authenticity? Remember that these books are deemed "sahi". And nikkah al Mutah and adultery (you seem to lump the two together in one basket) are two complete different things. Adultery is haram, a major sin, and it has nothing to do with Nikah Al Mutah. What you did is post a hadeeth about adultery and relate it to Mutah. It doesn't work this way gula. Now, regarding Nikkah al Muttah, tell me, how did you categorize all the hadiths that I posed as "weak"? What was your basis? And I am just curious, what do you think Nikka Al Mutah is (can you describe the process in your own words if you don't mind), just want to see how much you know about it.

And here is a verse for you from Quran regarding "temporary marriage":
[Quran 4:24] And all married women except those whom your right hands possess (this is) Allah's ordinance to you, and lawful for you are (all women) besides those, provided that you seek (them) with your property, taking (them) in marriage not committing fornication. Then as to those whom you profit by, give them their dowries as appointed; and there is no blame on you about what you mutually agree after what is appointed; surely Allah is Knowing, Wise.
Had Umar not banned Nikah Al Mutah, nobody would have fornicated, what many "good" muslims are doing in today's enticed world, bet it in one form or another; a sad reality.

Let me just give you yet another narration from Bukhari, there are 100s more such narrations in Siha e Sitta:
Narrated 'Abdullah Ibn Masud: We used to participate in the holy battles led by Allah's Apostle and we had nothing (no wives) with us. So we said, "Shall we get ourselves castrated (for fear of making sin)?" He forbade us (to castrate ourselves)and then allowed us to marry women with a temporary contract (Mut'ah) andrecited to us: 'O you who believe! Make not unlawful the good things, which Allahhas made lawful for you, but commit no transgression.' (5.87)
Sahih al Bukhari Volume 7 (tradition 13a)
If great Sahabas like Ibn Masud couldn't control 'go on' for a month, then what makes you think that everyday normal people could live unmarried for decades (do you know the average marital age) without indulging in some sort of fornication? Islam is a complete deen, it couldn't have left such important issue unaddressed/unresolved, don't you think? This is a reality, albeit a taboo in Islamic societies, but the fact is it exists, and people resort to lowest forms possible to release their "stress". But I think you already know this, but still read this. I will leave this topic (i.e. why was Mutah made halal) for another time. But let me focus on is Mutah Halal.

Narrated 'Imran bin Husain:"The Verse of Mut'a was revealed in Allah's Book, so we did it at the time of Allah's Apostle, and nothing was revealed in Quran to make it illegal, nor did the Prophet prohibit it till he died. But a man (who regarded it illegal) expressed what his ownmind suggested."S ahih Bukhari , Kitab al Tafseer, Tradition 4559

Again, narrations upon narrations prove that Mut'a was practiced during the Lifetime of the Prophet (SAW) and even Abu Bakr's, until UMAR BANNED IT. I still don't understand how you could deny the entire existing of Nikah Al Mutta.

            • Actually Misyar is a custom not only among Salafi Saudis. It is quite popular among non-Salafis.

And how is misyar and mutah the same?

Can somebody show me the similarities please?
