the reason why muslims use the word allah instead god is because
with god you can say gods or goddess
considering that there is one allah and that allah has no gender we don't use it

there is no proof that kaaba was ever visited let alone built by abraham. that is a myth. I could say the monkeys of mozambique built kaaba 5 million years ago, or the dinausaurs built it 50 million years ago. One can say what ever. Historical accounts makes it highly unlikely that was the case.

Its like pashtoons saying khalid bin waleed is their grandfather, or the lost tribe of isreal. These are myths and make you feel good. Keep believing in it, but dont shove it down as proven truths.

Allah is no GOD in english. Allah is a specific name assigned to God in Islam, no where in arabic is it used as God or Gods. I had of course heard of the lost tribe idea, shared by many other people around the world, like Mormons have something like this to explain their origins. Not sure, exactly there.

But I never heard this one. Is it really popular? If so among which sectors of the Pashtuns.

The main part I was curious about was: are there any details that accompany this fable?

In USA every one is a khan, someone once asked me are all the 'khans' related. I told him, every orphan is a Khan. Same for saeed, sayed, shah, and such. Converts in subcontinent usually prefer sayed and such because no body questions that, Khan is popular once you go to the West (more difficult to prove locally).
