This is not shirk. Because that would mean that every Muslim who says khuda becomes an apostate.

There are different views among scholars. Some say that we should avoid using words like God and Khuda. They say that these words were used by disbelievers to intend something else.

But there are other scholars who allow usage of such words.

If you feel uncomfortable with using words like khuda and god, you can avoid them. But it isn't shirk and kufr to do so.

The Prophet (saws) said, "On the day of Resurrection Allah will say, 'O Adam!' Prophet Adam (a.s.) will reply, 'Labbaik my Lord, and Sa'daik.' (I respond to Your Calls, I am obedient to Your Orders), Then there will be a loud call (saying), 'Allah orders you to take out (or assign) from among your offspring a mission for the (Hell) Fire.' Adam (a.s.) will say, 'O Lord! Who are the mission for the (Hell) Fire?' Allah will say, 'Out of each thousand, take out 999.' Then Prophet Mohamed (saws) recited the Verse of the Quran (22:2): The Day ye shall see it every mother giving suck shall forget her suckling-babe and every pregnant female shall drop her load (unformed): thou shalt see mankind as in a drunken riot yet not drunk: but dreadful will be the Wrath of Allah.

999 out of 1000 will be thrown to Jahannam.

Allah, master of the day of judgement, revealed his (SWT) 99 names his creations should refer him to. Saying "God", "Khuda", or others, is extremely incorrect. Where is the barakat in Khuda?

God does not translate to Allah, the magnificent. His (SWT) name is universal.

Which doesn't seem to indicate anything to do with calling Allah(swt) "Khuda" or "God".

It seems to me that your issue regarding the use of Khuda or God is based more on your understanding of the names of Allah(swt). The 'isma are the sifat of Allah(swt), which means they're references to the qualities of Allah (swt) as related to his creation. The Ahl Al Falasefa have noted that only 5 names actually "esaseyan" or "primal" and they are Kamil (Complete) AHad (Absolutely singular) Qayyam/Samad (Permanent), Hayy( Always Alive), Haqq (Reality). The others are relative (nisbiya). There are some synonyms that reflect different properties of all these like Wajib and Wujud, but they signify these qualities of DHat. The word "Allah" is a contraction formed from Al-Ilah, but Ilah is formed from Alif Lam Ha---> Allah is a doubling of Lam, Alif Lam Lam Ha, it is in essence communication the idea of Absolute Deity, the door of accessing the DHat (essence) which we come to know the Absolute traits of The Real. One way to render Allah (swt) is the Grandeur of Reality itself.

      Ameen summa ameen.

Also, as economist Kaushik Basu says: "For a nation to progress it is important for people to spend time on science, mathematics and literature instead of spending time showing that 5,000 years ago their ancestors did science, mathematics and literature."

If I say "Creator," am I committing shirk?

If you're spending, in a 24 hour period, doing other activities(working, exercising, smartphones etc) longer than in dhikr or Salah, you could possibly being committing shirk. To spend more time idling and not worshiping Rab Al-Alamin, by your actions, you're associating other "partners" with All mighty Allah.
working(providing for your family), exercising(keeping yourself healthy), education is also a form of ebodat or am I wrong.

I'm looking for your input on the matter. not a debate.
The Hadith you posted is very broad, there doesn't seem to be anything that suggests that this would necessarily pertain here.

Also, as economist Kaushik Basu says: "For a nation to progress it is important for people to spend time on science, mathematics and literature instead of spending time showing that 5,000 years ago their ancestors did science, mathematics and literature."

Of course these are 'ibadah because you're looking after the things Allah(swt) has entrusted you with.

Also, as economist Kaushik Basu says: "For a nation to progress it is important for people to spend time on science, mathematics and literature instead of spending time showing that 5,000 years ago their ancestors did science, mathematics and literature."

I don't know. But if you are spending more time working/providing for your family, education etc.. than in dhikr, Salah, and discussing islamic topics it could possibly be playing around with Shirk. Why? because you're spending more time with those activities than worshiping the creator.

Allah (SWT) mentions children and parents being a trial (fitna) for the people as well.

When Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was in Miraj, Allah (SWT) first said 50 prayers a day is sufficient. But it wasn't for Musa(as) and Allaw (SWT) mercy it got down to 5.

You get what i am trying to say?
hahaha. I have a kaliwal who is lazy and and he does not provide for his family makes the excuse that he is busy praying and reading the Quran all day while his brother works like a dog providing for both his own and his brother's family. Because the lazy one is not doing his part, his brother hardly ever sees his children.

                Who is the haramkhor here?

But you're talking about something specific, so generality is redundant.

But he is doing the lazy guys version of ebodat. Sleep, drink chia, pray, eat, take a dump, sleep more, pray, read the quran but dont follow its advice but tell people how a good muslim you are while your own actions is depriving your own brother from hardly ever seeing his family.

                        I'm sorry.

                        What is your stance then?

There is truth to what i am saying about the possibilities of Shirk being so rampant.

I believe we're supposed to balance life and not neglect any aspect whether overt worship or implied worship

I don't think that calling Allah "creator" or "Khuda" constitutes shirk or any bid'a. Remember "kulli shay bil niyyah". It seems only if they are doing it for the intention of sayng it's required by Islam, then that could be bid'a.

Also, as economist Kaushik Basu says: "For a nation to progress it is important for people to spend time on science, mathematics and literature instead of spending time showing that 5,000 years ago their ancestors did science, mathematics and literature."

Some people are confused and think there is only one kind of worship, the mechanical kind where you go up and down and worry about if your pants sleaves are rolled up to the right length and criticise others for not having their pants sleeve not rolled making yourself feel better that your a better muslim and missing the point of the prayer and ebodat.
Work and responsibility itself is a form of worship:

Every one of you is a shepherd and is responsible for his flock. The leader of the people is a guardian and is responsible for his subjects: a man is the guardian of his family and is responsible for his subjects, a woman is the guardian of her husband’s home and of his children and is responsible for them, and the slave of a man is a guardian of his master’s property and is responsible for it. Surely, every one of you is a shepherd and responsible for his flock.

so by your logic Quais, praying but not working and avoiding responsibility is also shirk.
