I don't believe in God in the slightest, but even if he existed, there's no proof that the Islamic version of god is true and Muhammad is his messenger. How am I supposed to show evidence of something that doesn't exist in the first place?

Iblis_Efreetzai

1) I don't know for sure how the world came about. I will give you that believing the world came from nothingness can be considered equivalent to believing god created it in some respects, but that says nothing about Islam as a whole.

2) Because people don't ride centaurs to heaven, lol. And I'm not gonna believe it happened just because Muhammad said so.

In court the accuser/prosecution has to bring evidence forward to form a guilty verdict, the defendant then has to dissect the accusations made against himself point by point until a verdict is made. Using those examples in this argument its back to the same spot again, because in the end whether it is you or me in the defendant seat we will both reach the same conclusion of "We don't know for sure" , I tell you prove the origins of the universe .. you can't.. you tell me prove Allah is the originator in a scientific format? i can't either.. So we both have faith in our beliefs whatever we choose them to be.

As a Muslim i don't owe you anything, or need to prove anything to you since you live your own life with your own actions, you will die one day and so will i, how we lead our life depends on our conscience and faith in God/no-god. You believe in God but not sure where or who he is, Youve made your decision on Islam so then i suggest you waste less time on Islam and spend more time finding God, time is running out don't you think.
LOL
Please, first prove that Allah exists.
But, as you said, you don't need to prove it.

And as a result, people don't have to take Islam & Allah seriously.
It's all just superstition.

1.) I never asked if you believed it, I asked how does it make more sense. explain what is more sensible about it. You're doing comparative analysis here.

2.) Because people don't ride centaurs in heaven? What criteria are you going on to determine what goes on in heaven?

Your argument is circular, because it would require knowledge of what's in heaven.

Your debates have poor logical structure and integrity from the get go.

Also, as economist Kaushik Basu says: "For a nation to progress it is important for people to spend time on science, mathematics and literature instead of spending time showing that 5,000 years ago their ancestors did science, mathematics and literature."

That part was in reply to Manzareh. It makes more sense to me because I have 0 proof of god.

Lol, who said he even went to heaven in the first place?

People do not go to heaven and people do not ride centaurs. Therefore, I'm not gonna believe Muhammad did it just because he simply said so.

I'm not a deist, I'm an atheist. I don't believe in god.

I was just saying that if you want to use the "god definitely exists" argument, then deism makes much much much more sense than Islam.

1.) Proof in this context, would be a mathematical construct which requires rigor of all perceivable cases. Your original statement was about "nothingness causing the universe made more sense than a centaur carrying Muhammad"

You're either changing goal posts here or you're just not sure of how to respond.

I asked you what you meant when you say "nothingness" you didn't answer that. You didn't explain why one position was more sensible than the other.

2.) You're side stepping, your reasoning was that there's no centaurs in heaven, therefore it's false. What are you basing this on?

Hey just say you don't know what you're talking about, I'll back off.

These guys are not used to being questioned, you will find they will ALWAYS deviate and run away when you ask them about their own beliefs, they are only active when it comes to attacking other peoples beliefs. Truth is they act like really smart people but don't have a clue about science or the universe, their trust is people in laboratory's, their God wears a white lab coat.

No, that's not it.

We don't believe that there is a God because there is no reason to believe in one.

Why doesn't God just show himself to everyone and clear things up?

Instead, your God likes to hide and talk to a select a few mad men ?

Religion is a big scam.

Hold on, didn't you say you believed in God? Sometimes your an atheist sometimes you believe in God. Do your beliefs change depending on what day it is?

Also, if "how we came into existence" is not a good enough reason to believe in God then there is no point conversing further.

no, my beliefs don't change day by day. They change only when I encounter new information.

No, I don't believe in a God. I don't need to be comforted like a child.
And to the question of whether God exists or not, I don't know.
But I do know that there is no evidence for his existence.

Okay, we don't know exactly "how we came into existence".
But how does speculation help or answers the question?
You think there is a God therefore it is true?
Shoehorning your own biases doesn't resolve anything but only make you feel better.

I think you are talking about yourself.

I always claimed to be an Atheist Agnostic.

Don't you technically suck up to your parents like all pathetic muslim kids ?
You basically were peer pressured by them & your family to embrace Islam.

why are you always so damn mad?
