No one knew about "genetic" closeness until very ...very recently and I mean like last 10 years recently. For a great deal of history, Pashtuns saw themselves as "Semitic" . Hence the Mythology of the Lost Tribes.

This is why it's clear you weren't actually raised in a Pashtun home, the type of stuff you say is not consistent with the Normative views of Pashtuns, but heavy influence from outsiders. Genetically everyone's a mutt, there's no such thing as a pure race, so that doesn't bother me at all.

It only bothers those with low self esteem, which explains why you're very defensive about this.
Nobody never claimed to be part of the lost tribe in my family.
Even my Afghan History buff Uncle denies it as rubbish.
The only family member who brought this up in my family is the least educated and he read it somewhere online lol

People accepted the Lost Tribe story because they thought it was cool being connecting to Abraham in some way.
Ignorant Pashtuns like these cool stories. People from all religions like to feel connecting somehow to the root of their religion.
    Pashtuns aren't Semitic.

You read about pashtuns, I lived it.
If I have a question, I ask my parents, uncles & aunts.
it maybe strange to you but my grandfather, parents & all my uncles were well educated in Afghanistan.
We don't heard goats in my family.

Stop trying to define who is & what is Pashtun.
You're the one who doesn't come from a Pashtun home.
I know who I am & I am allowed to redefine what pashtuns are for the next generation and there are others like me.
I am not alone. You are.

Please lay your Arab/Islam propaganda to rest.

Well probably because you aren;'t Pashtun, but since you're from Logar, well Logar was originally a Farsiwan area that came under Pashtun conquest. The locals became what is known as "hamsayas" or neighbors. These people did the jobs Pashtuns refused to do, but in the process they became Pashtunized. It is possible you're from that kind of background.

I never tried to "define" anything, in fact if you recall, ...which you probably won't I'm one of a handful of people to believe you can be Pashtun and an Atheist. And I did believe you were Pashtun, but you started saying things someone not raised within the culture would say, so I have my doubts.

Like even the stuff you're saying like the "herd goats" comment; The Nomadic Pashtuns are very revered and respected in Pashtun society. Only a foreigner or Farsiwan doesn't respect the people who herd goats , because Pashtun ancestors were Nomads. It's pretty clear you're not from among us.

You are trying to define what pashtun is. You're even doing it right now with me.
My family originally came from Waziristan long ago.
We are part of the Ghilji Tribe.
Stop trying explain my heritage to me. I don't need your help.

My point about Goat herders is that my direct family isn't.
I have nothing against Goat herders.
My family is educated and not ignorant like other pashtuns.
We don't fall easy to rumors and myths, like this Lost Tribe nonsense.
They were NEVER taught in a pakistani-arab madrasa.
All of my male elders were involved in the war against the Soviets & Afghan Communists.

Stop trying to tarnish me. I know who I am.

I can talking the way I want. You just gotta to live with it. Mutt.

I don't really care , you've clearly haven't evolved past a juvenile stage, so it doesn't hold any relevance to me. You're from the Ghilji tribe? That's a MASSIVE Tribe. You know Ghilji are originally Turks right? I'm actually a Ghilji myself, but it's funny because Ghilji have historical allegiances with Arabs. Farsiwan however resent Arabs. so I have lots of doubts.

The lost tribe Myth was started in the 12th century, LONG before Any Paki-Madrassa .......see there is NO way you can be from among us. Who'd make that mistake? Someone clueless and from the outside.

Now now, come on Manzareh, .....ImAJew has spent countless hours trying to have romantic liasons with Pashtun males through the internet, clearly her research methods and statistical inferences are sound and very precise to make strong conclusions on the topic.

                        lol
Yes, I know Ghilji is a massive tribe. My sub-tribe is apart of it.
The Turk thing is news to me. sounds bull****.
Allegiances don't last. They are temporary.
My sub-tribe is much closer with Farsiwans than Arabs. Farsiwans are halfbreed like you.
There also some Pashtun people who only farsi.

I didn't say the lost tribe Myth was produced by Madrasas in Pakistan.
Simply, that my Family wasn't educated in one. They received a real education.
So, they're are not dumb to believe in it.

Again, I am pashtun. You are the half breed. I maybe clueless in some subjects.
But I don't have to know all the history of being pashtun to be able to pass myself off as pashtun.
                        Because, I am pashtun.

Then you're not a true Ghalji, because Ghalji have been rivals with farsiwan due to the fact that Ghalji have many Nomadic Clans and the Farsiwan resent us for grazing over in their territory. I get it Half Breed this ...Blah blah blah, It takes more than inflated self-bolstering to Be LEGIT. There are certain subtleties that ONLY Pashtuns would know and understand. You seem to lack them.

Even my "Half Breed" has more credibility than you do at this point. No offense. I usually hate playing Ethnic "Higher Than Thou" but in this case it REALLY does apply. I actually believe you are full on Farsiwan, and that what happened is you were servants for a Pashtun tribe, and may have adopted Pashto. We call people like this hamsaya, this is common among Pashtuns.

Now about the Ghalji-Turk connection, Ghalji originate from the Khaladj Turks, their name became Khalji, and then they settled in Afghanistan became Ghalji. Read up about it sometime.

No, I am not Farsiwan. Though Both my parents & family can speak farsi.
Like you said Ghilji is massive tribe. You are just stereotyping.
Every village is different. Different experiences.
People aren't Ghilji, they are part of it. They identify more with their own subtribe.
I haven't heard any real problems from my family. One of my uncles is married to farsiwan from Logar.

You're still trying to tarnish me? Aren't you tired?
Can't you accept who you are?

                            • You make claims and say stuff in respects to Pashtuns that no one else raised in a Pashtun home has ever heard of people doing ....at least not as a common course.

Look I get what you're trying to do, you're trying to build a narrative, but the problem is that narrative very obviously forged and has no validity.

Another thing you seem not to understand is that Pashtuns usually tend to be ok with men marrying a Non-Pashtun, but generally despise the idea of Pashtun lady with a non-Pashtun, unless they're seen as prestigious. It's all connected to their belief that "nisbah" transfers through the father.

Farsiwans being people were in the past "conquered", are not seen as prestigious, unless they're Sufi Pirs or something. This is why it's actually NOT Uncommon that Farsiwans will Forge being Pashtun to gain some social respect and mobility from Pashtuns. This is also why many Farsiwan resent us and see us as usurpers.

Now I just want to re-emphasize, this Ethnic hierarchy nonsense is something I don't endorse, But it exists. and it explains lot about your attitude here. If you ask me it's you that's diminished yourself here with your juvenile antics Maybe if you stopped you wouldn't be "diminished"

I may get some historical stuff wrong. so what?

You are a bigger insecure idyot than I thought.
I already know about this "rule" about father's bloodline thing.
                                I know about Pashtunwali.
I just want to simply clarify that I am just more Pashtun than you.
And you have no right to criticize me for what I choose to do.
I am part of the new generation of Pashtuns. You are stuck reading about the past.
I don't need to read about it or pretend. I live it.
Whatever I do will eventually contribute to the future of Pashtun people because I am part of it.
I don't live in some pashtunwali fantasy like you.

I try to keep you in check for what you are.
Were you even born in a Pashtun land? I guess no. I was.
