2010 Pashtunforums Quran Recitation Competition

As salaamu aleikoum wa rahmatulahi wa barakatuhu,

I want to know if we have any talented Qaaris among us. So let the ones with most beautiful voices record their recitation of their favorite Surah and upload it on to the forum so everyone can hear them recite.

Once we have a few reciters, we can make a poll and ask the members to choose the best reciter.

I think Abubaker,Azmatullah might be nice reciters.

Id love to hear you recite Sangar.

My recitation is so terrible that when two members of Pashtunforums were standing behind me while I was leading the prayer, both of them burst out in laughter while I was reciting. It was so bad, that I almost decided to stop and do the prayer again. But well, it was very embarassing. So now I am practicing. But no improvement yet.

This will help me with a few things I planned for PF. Selection will be made easy. I look forward to it quite a lot. So, chop chop folks!

If I may add, I work a lot on my recitation too, if it counts, someday. Sometimes it gets so loud, my mother knocks on my door to remind me (and throws in a complement here and there). I find myself humming in the least expected places sometimes

LOL! Naaaa, I don't think so. The voice will have to be good as well! Plus, I'll need my fiance's thoughts on this If he says no (you know - what with our janans being all possessive about their beloveds and my voice being in the public and all! God forbid ), then I don't do it!

Qrrattugai, khpal nom de badal ka, mullagai pa zan nom kegda. hahahaha.

Here is the procedure:

Qrratugai is going to be the organizer for the sisters recitations. Contestants can record their recitation and send it to Qrratugai so she can examine them initially in order for contestants to make some final improvements and adjustments. And only sisters will hear other sisters recite and only they can judge them. Votes will be sent to Admin Khan. And Qrratugai is going to announce the winner.

But no male member is allowed to hear the sisters recite. For obvious reasons I assume.

We miss one male judge who is as qualified as Qrratugai to do the same job. If we cannot find anyone, I will ask a friend of mine who is mashaa allah a very good reciter.

And needless to say, the same procedure as described for the sisters applies to brothers.

... Be it anonymous, but I don't see anything wrong with the males sharing theirs ... we did this on another forum, and the recitations are among my frequently played playlist. In fact, I was listening to one just before Maghrib ... so folks ... what say?

I am in dire need of a new collection of recitations. I've exhausted my current one.
