^ Sure, WardakPrince, but I was only wondering why females will be allowed to hear males' voices but not vice versa.

    And I'm STILL wondering that . . .

According to Pashtun culture it might be wrong, but Islamically we can hear the voice of women reciting the Quran. Looking at them while they recite is wrong, that is Islamic.
Islam will prevail, a promise made by the Creator of this universe:

[61:8] They desire to extinguish the light of Allah with the breath of their mouths, but Allah will perfect His light, even if the disbelievers hate it.

[61:9] He it is Who has sent His Messenger with the guidance and the Religion of truth, that He may cause it to prevail over all religions, even if those who associate partners with God hate it.

Gotcha. That's ALL I wanted to know, and that's ALL anyone had to say. If it's his rules and his threads, then it makes sense why the rules would be as rigid and why double standards would be promoted and practiced. I personally could never be involved in something that not only recognizes but even encourages double standards, you see.

Thanks for clarifying that, wror jaana!

That's your decision and choice. I won't mind letting males hear my voice, when they hear it in school, class, auditoriums, etc., etc.

If I participate, then everyone hears my voice; if I don't participate, that's another story.

I thought for once we could do something together. But as Usual, Qrratugai & Qadiani have to ruin everything.

                your grandkids.

Who said we're ruining it? I'm still participating -- and the entire public will hear my voice No one is being forced to listen to anyone. We can actually label them M and F (male and female), so you'll know who NOT to listen to, since in case it's female voice, it might lead you to think some stuff you're not allowed to think. (lol.)

Or here's what you can do: You can listen to the first couple of seconds of every clip, and if it's a male voice, you keep on listening; if femae voice, you immediately say, "NO! ASTAGHFIRALLAH RABBI MIN KULLI ZAMBIWWA ATOOBU ILAHI! Allaaaaaaaaah ... forive me! You're all-forgiving! This is Qrratugia's fault, and you know that already, Rabbi."

And then to keep fighting for your forgiveness, you can also perform full ablution and then offer, say, 10 rakats nafl, still begging Allah (swt) to forgive your sinful soul.

                ... JUST saying.

This is an awesome idea, however, I second Feroza. I would not advise any female to submit their recitation, unless it's to be heard my female members only, and even then we can't gurantee that.

I look forward to hearing the recitations!

                          walaikum assalam,
it is permitted for them to do so if it is solely in the presence of women, in such a manner that strange men would not be able to hear it, and no other impermissible matter was associated with it.
It is not permitted for men to listen to the singing or recitation of strange (non-mahram) women, whether it is with or without the fear of fitna. It does not matter whether this takes place from behind a screen, a recording, or otherwise, because it is established in the primary texts that a woman's voice can lead to fitna. As such, it may not be used in ways that could be expected to lead to it.
As for talking to someone of the opposite gender, if there is a reasonable need, it is permitted to the extent of the reasonable need, and disliked otherwise.
                          Wassalam,
                          faraz rabbani.
                          =)

Qrratugai, I called you Mullagai, because you are teaching Tajweed etc to the kids. SO the mullah do also more or less same job, but just you dont perform imamat, although you can also like, how she was called (amina) who did it in new york.

As Sangar is saying that you are ruining the competition, so dont do it.
Sangar is living in another world. She must know that as long as the things with voices are concerned, if female voice is forbidden for men, then also men voice is forbidden for women. Then how this will go further?
Qrattugai, I would like to tell you that I am also a small Mullah, hahahhhaha, I am Hafiz-e-Quran, and when I am in Pakistan I used to do Khatam in Ramdan in Taraweeh, and I am imam there. I used to attend Madrassah regularly when I am there at my village. I used to discuss the issues with typical long bear, dirty turban, wide and open dressed Mullah, who say after each phrase Astaghfirullah, subhanallah, but their behavior never convinced me, although I met few of them who are very conscious of their status in the society and are aware of the consequences and hate for them in the coming years.
However, You should be angry on me by calling you Mullagai, it was just a joke, ka dera ghussa ye, no bia za mata ham yao zallay mulla owaya che badal de khlas shee.

                            ALlah de khoshala larra.

But I am the ideological follower of Hazrat bacha Khan in politics and Hazrat Abdurraheem popalzai in relgion. He was a secualr Scholar. I like intrepretation of Maududi, but not all, and also of A Kalam Azad, although not complete. I like Shibli Nuamani, suleman nidvi, and abulhassan nidvi, as the best authors regarding relgious books. Ghani Khan my favourite poet, Wali Khan my favourite writer for contributing the big 3 volumes history book, bacha Khan ao khzudai khitmatgari. I also like people like ghamidi, straight forward, easy and not shouting crying.
I am a biologist working in a research institute, and it is really difficult to keep the balance in such a situation, but in private life I am much religious, in state matter much secular, in society and social gatherings liberal (I mean, i dont mind what people do, music, songs, girls boys together etc) and always worried and inferiority complex for the socio-political status of pashtuns.
Another complexity, Pakistan our country (but I am sorry i was very patriotic pakistani till my teenage), shocked when came to know i read and learnt wrong information in my text books, then religious after reading maududi literature and sitting with mullas in madrassas much, and then secular after reading Bacha Khan (whom I considered Hindu till I read his book, zama Jwand ao jido wa juhad). Afghanistan /pashtunistan being the mother land cannot be ignored, and religion cannot bge ignored as well.
After getting into Europe I came to know, countries can be changed and religions can be changed but blood cannot be changed which remain as the identity whereever you are. SO my country is just for my papers, relgion for my spiritual satisfaction and Blood of pashtun as my identity. I dont know how long it remains this way. hahahha
