Abu bakr was not elected. The ansar groups of Aws and Khuzraj did not want to be ruled by a Quraysh. The ansar wanted two leaders: one for the Muhajireen and one for the ansar. But abu bakr and Umar didn't want to separate the ummah. And Ali was still preparing the burial of his father in law(the prophet pbuh)

Are they halal? I don't know. I assume their parents were married when they were conceived.Originally posted by Karachi View Postwhat about family like Al Saudi ruling holy lands? are they halal in your eyes?
Is their method of ruling Saudi halal? Yes, and no.
Yes in the sense that they have little to no shirk in their society.
No because there is a considerable amount of material available in literature by scholars in Saudi Arabia who claim that the current regime, the way it is governing the kingdom is violating the divine law and thus, they claim that the King is an apostate, a kaafir.
However, the matter of dispute is controversial, and due to persecution of opposition, only a few dare to talk about this topic in Saudi Arabia.
If you care to know why scholars consider the Saudi king to be a kaafir, please study the case of Sheikh Bishr ibn Fahd al-Bishr and his stance against the kingdom. Likewise there are a number of other Saudi disident scholars who label the king as an apostate. They have their reasons for claiming he is a kaafir.
But since I am afraid that when you find out why people consider Saudi king to be a kaafir, you will end up most likely on the defense of the Saudi king because judging by your posts on PF, I assume that you have a watered down understanding of Shariah quite favorable to people like the Saudis.Originally posted by FirdousiNever talk with Afghans about politics. You're so brainwashed by fat bigoted Sheiks that you support Muawiya war against Ali at the Battle of Siffin.
And so benighted that you probably praised Yazid when he obliterated the Prophet's household at Karbala.
You're so anti-voting, that I'm sure you agree that Muawiya and Yazid were the rightful caliph over Hassan and Hussein.
It really isn't your studies that came into these conclusion; it's the brainwashing from bigoted fat boys whose only credibility is being A Rabic
It's so sad that you can't learn on your own.

Is there a way we can contact the head of the clinic where you're at? Somebody needs to put a straitjacket on you and revoke your right to access internet until the pills start taking effect.Originally posted by FirdousiNever talk with Afghans about politics.
