I don't have a plan of what to eat.

Usually my diet during Ramadan consists of:
Rozha-mot: As a starter usually pekawre, pirakay (bolani) or samosas. For the main meal, all the typical traditional food (shorwa, rice with kofta/korma/sabzee/salatta, du pyoza, shola, manthu etc). We have toorwe (shlombay) with almost every meal.

Pershamay: Those fried things made of flour & stuff...think they were called lindzohey (?) along with a few glasses of milk and whatever else I can find (samosas, paner, bread with mozarella cheese, salami, canned food, fruits etc).

who can tolerate the stink of eggs that early in the morning. eggs and parati leaves you thirsty for the rest of the day anyways..probably cold milk with some strawberries. or what we end up doing alot of is cook some rice in last night's shorwa. for rozha matey, you cook alot and whatnot but after the first few bites, no one feels like eating more..

dates in milk is sufficient. anything else damages the stomach. especially when you have to fast 19 hours.

rozha is derived from roza, which is farsi. Try again.

its most likely the other way around.

so it is possible that farsi adapted this word.

                      even kachaloo is not farsi.

roja mathay is the only word ive heard people use.

we call peshmanay, or peshnamay جرګ بانګی

in the past, religion was dominated by Persians. Pashtuns were dominated by Persians. Now things are the other way around. Now religious scholarship is monopolized by Pashtuns except a few Tajiks from Herat and Badakhshan and some Uzbeks.

So naturally, our religious vocabulary is based on farsi words.
