Toba to your opening line.
The fact is no one is...following Islam anymore.
We are Muslims by...name.
Corruptions, lies, killings, suicides, cheating,
Hypocrisy, gambling, selling drugs, fraud, adultery,
fornication.
All these things...exist in Muslims...by
name today.
So stop blaming...religion.
Islam has never been...followed.I believe the sun should never set upon an argument.
I believe forgiveness is the key to your unhappiness.

Failier is determined by time, so before you talk about failer first answer this: whats the timescale of Muslims changing? given that when the time scale ends thats when you can judge whether one has failed or not.
Saying that though, Muslims are not going to be judged as a whole on dooms day, everyperson is judged individually, so karachi saab you'd rather focus on yourself, if Islam has changed you then bravo, if not then you have alot of worrying to do.Last edited by Manzareh; 08-29-2012, 01:00 PM.----------

Then you're in effect verifying the statement in Karachi's subject line. Two things.
On the one hand, as Wawrina elaborated below...people simply do not follow the principles as they should be followed.
By extension, in a bid for self glorification, there is a prevalent tendency among the Muslim community of modern times to act superior and belittle other religions and cultures. Islam has never taught us to do this, so hate breeds hate and this is leading to erosion within the community as a whole and among different ethnic groups in muslims too.
Imagine what the Prophet (PBUH) would make of a Muslim who hates on a Muslim from another country or origin.

well islam does teach that believing muslims are better than non muslims, which they are. the problem is that in this dunya many muslims characters are no better than that of non muslims and some are actually worse.
the western anti islamic radical who wants to kill muslims doesn't have to do it because muslims are already doing it to themselves.Last edited by randolph85; 08-30-2012, 05:29 AM.There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

Everyone knows...deep inside them
their not following Islam...like they
should be.
A lot lack knowledge...or have
been fed the wrong...knowledge of
Islam.
If we don't read the rules...how can we abide
by...them?
When no one is practicing...Islam
properly.
How can it..fail?I believe the sun should never set upon an argument.

Everyone is running after...moneyOriginally posted by KarachiBut the question is why isn't any one following Islam? or never have. if a system is not being followed, no matter how good it is (like Islam) it will be considered a failure unfortunately.
My initial post was not to say Islam is a failure as a religion, indeed it is a great religion, but if it's not being followed, then there is some thing wrong. Either people are not attracted to it, or it is perhaps not suited for most people and their ways.
Also forcing Islam on people will also never work, people like Taliban and Saudis really need to understand this. Forcing makes people go away from Islam, rather then come close to it
night and...day.
They want the best house best...car.
They want holidays...and nice clothing.
They have time..for friends
shopping, parties, cinema and...concerts
but no time...for Islam.
If they start living...the true Islamic life.
First spend on essentials...nothing extra
Live a humble..simple life.
Read Quran deeply...feel it
inside...you.
Give up the music.
Keep 3 to 4 pairs...of clothing.
Anything extra give to...poor.
Think about...others.
Do with out things...and be Grateful.
Don't curse and swear...when faced
with...hardship.
Trust in..Allah s.w.t.
Find time to correct..yourself.
Reflect on your...bad habits.
Stop cinema, partying...wasting time
stop violence, cheating, lieing, hatred.
Understand
the teachings...of the Quran.
I am sorry to say...but we
never lived a Islamic...life.
Islam is there in the...back ground.
Like a picture...hanging on a wall.
No one lives truly by...Islam.
If we read and live..truly
by Islam.
Then our lives...would be depression
free.
Islam never failed...we never really opened
it to read or to truly understand...it.
As Humans we fail just...like
the..rest.Last edited by Breshna; 08-30-2012, 12:17 AM.I believe the sun should never set upon an argument.

Exactly, you stated facts, when something is not being applied, it failed to work.
He is no different than us,he blindly believes in the words of other men,:
islam cant fail muslims. this implies that allah (swt) has failed in some way. but humankind can and has definitely failed islam again and again collectively. average muslim has minimal islamic knowledge today. their lives are governed primarily by the human animal, animal instinct, whatever you want to call it. they submit to it and fail to fight against it as required throughout quran and sunnah. ultimately, being a respected member of the human ant colony is more important than being a proper muslim and usually the two dont go together very well.I don't make monkeys, I just train them.

Khwazun what you're arguing is an example of what is called confirmation bias, it;s where you reject and answer because you don't want to accept what it implies. Although I don't think it implies that. What it does show is the possibility that maybe Islam is not divinely revealed after all.
Also Islam does not demand fighting instinct, in fact quite the opposite; the Qur'an says
" fa qim wajhaka lil deen hanifan fitrata Allah allati fatara al-nasa"
so it's basically encouraging turning to human instinct here.
He is no different than us,he blindly believes in the words of other men,:
