vatican is not on the same par.Originally posted by Yasmeenaah View PostCould kafirs go to the city of Makkah? No. Could non-Chrisitains go to Vatican? Yes.
Its similar to a citizenship status. If you want US citizenship or a Polish citizenship, you take an oath and meet other guidelines, visiting mecca is easier, You take the oath and your allowed in.

Mecca is run by a certain royal family, not sure there is much support for that family here.
Malcolm X was considered a Kafir by many in certain circles yet he was permitted to make Hajj and as a result, his whole perspective changed.
I do not think Mecca needs to be made into a tourist destination, neither do I think the same for the Vatican. It is the choice of those who run those cities to make laws they feel appropriate.
It is the same with regards to circumcision.
Yet that does not mean that debate should not take place to discuss the supposed absurdity of these laws.
Incidentally, there are many Muslims who live in Germany yet how many Christians live in Saudi Arabia? This is an issue concerning those Muslims.
I am therefore perplexed as to why we are discussing freedom for random people to enter the Vatican or Mecca - it is a different issue.---

these laws are being passed because of xenophobia. Whenever economies weaken, resources are more limited so the first group that suffers are the minorities in the society. The majority will maneuver to divert resources to themselves and put obsticles in place for the minorities from having equal access.
The issue of mecca as being xenophobic was started by the european members of this forum who believe their people are threatened so naturally a lash is eminent from those members by arguing that "you are the same" so therefore it is OK.

I wonder, is the bringing up of Mecca and laws in Muslim lands done to offer a differing perspective to be considered or to justify this law being passed in the fortress of freedom that is the West?
If it is the latter, then surely the West's freedoms aren't based on the principle of 'you don't allow us to do this in your country so we won't allow you to do it here'. In which case it is a silly way of justifying the law. There are other more logical ways.---

the whole discussion is not made because of the wellbeing of the children , but the old nazi ideologie still lives in the heads of the people .
they used one case , to legitimize the ban of circumsion as a predecent case .
but the core or intrinsic cause of this discussion is the anti islamic propaganda and resentiment , which is actually a ventile for racist behaviour which is acceptable in society .
but thanks to our jewish friends , the germans were b-i-t-c-h slapped and there are no more reports or discussions on tv , and they get very very quiet .
you see , there is also something good in zionism .
if there were no jews left over in germany or europe , it could have taken years till something happend , now after a week , the law to allow circumcison is nearly passed by the goverment .
it just took a week !!!
