  • The Israeli Sufi

I gotta say, it really doesn't surprise me.

Miki Cohen is a 58-year-old [Israeli university lecturer] who has 'discovered' the works of Jalal ad-Din Rumi, a 13th-century Muslim poet and Sufi mystic ... Miki became the first Jew ever permitted to join the zikir ritual in that Mevlevi order.
There you have it- you don't even need to be Muslim to be a Sufi. It kinda all makes sense now.

It doesn't say that he became a Sufi though; it said he participated in Dhikr

Even in Wahhabi Mosques; non-Muslims are permitted to join in.

So if this Spy can join your Wahhabi Khariji Cult; and you embrace him, why can't some Harmless guy do dhikr?

Sufism will save Islam from all the enemies of Islam including Wahabis, Salafis, Taliban and all other extremists and puritans. I love sufis, I love Rumi. I have read all his six volumes of Mathnawi which is a great book of wisdom, knowledge, meditation, awareness and guidance for a happy life.

Not only Jews I have seen people of all religions and countries love Rumi and join other orders of Sufism and Islamic mysticism.

SUfism opposes what you stand for too Osho; Sufi teachings are anti modern and abandoning material life, especially Rumi

        I don't think you've actually read Rumi.

Why does this matter? He can be whatever he wants to be.

There is a huge difference between asceticism and Sufism or mysticism. Rumi does not reject the world or matter but invite the people for the maximum utilization.
He was not only a Sufi but also a jurist, theologian, poet and in a sense an evolutionary scientist. His teachings were ecumenical in nature and religion was a personal experience for him. He weaves fables, scenes from everyday lifE and has never rejected life or matter in his teachings. Rumi believed passionately in the use of music, poetry and dance as a path for reaching God.

Here is a very famous quote by Rumi

"abandon life and the world, and find the life of the world"

So trust me , he was very much against everything you represent; All Authentic Sufis are.
