I will, Insha Allah, touch more upon this subject. I don't have the time to post a proper answer right now.
However, one thing, my dearest brothers and sisters, that you must keep in mind is that we are told in the Holy Quran not to follow scholars instead of that which Allah has mentioned.
Our beloved Prophet (saw) has told us that there will be reformers at the head of every century so as to correct what grievous mistakes "scholars" make.
That said, if we say that my scholar, or so and so scholar said this or that, then EVERY SINGLE sect in Islam will be correct. However, and fortunately for that, things don't work like that.
