    LOL! Exactly!

What's more is this: Do all the interpreters/exegesists/commentators agree on the interpretations of the verses in question? No. They do not. Each gives his own interpretation.

Those verses are clear and can even be understood with someone without the tafseer.

You do realize how much weight this comment is carrying, right? Because there are huuuuuuuuuuge scholarly debates on this topic of what is an Islamic government, how Islamic laws must be implemented, and even WHETHER any government should be an Islamic government at all.

Khair, in spite of that, lemme ask you something ... why are we picking and choosing which "Islamic laws" should be implemented? And can we really do this, carry out any "Islamic" punishments when there's NO such thing as an Islamic government in any part of the world today?

As such, do you honestly believe we have the permission of God to carry these punishments out when the very basic--an Islamic government, as you seem to suggest--is missing?

Islam also means to submit one's will to God and therefore, collectively, can be defined as peace acquired through submission to Allah SWT. As Muslims, in our greeting, also at the basic level, we wish people that the Mercy and Blessings and Peace of Allah be upon them unlike any other religion, culture or language. One of the attributes of Allah SWT described in the Quran along with other Asma and Siffat is As-Salam, which means peace. This suggests Allah's Being itself is a manifestation of peace.

The Qur'an is no gun or weapon of war. It is a book of ideology. In such a situation asking people to struggle by means of the Qur'an signifies to strive by means of ideology. That is to say, to work hard to conquer people's hearts and minds by the superior ideology of Islam. The greatest problem facing Islam in present times, to my way of thinking, is that Muslims have consigned the Sunnah of non-violence to oblivion. In more recent times, when Muslims faced such problems as that of Palestine, the fall of the Mughal empire, and the Turkish caliphate, they fell prey to negative reaction on such a large scale that they completely forgot that the policy of Islam was that of non-violence and not of violence.

Islam teaches us non-violence. The Qur'an tells us that God does not love disorder. According to the Qur'an, disorder is that course of action, which results in disturbance in the social system incurring loss in terms of life and property. Whenever the Prophet SAW had an option between two courses of action, he always chose the easier (non-confrontational) one. This means that, violent activism should not be indulged in if peaceful activism is an option as it is the perfect solution to problems in all spheres.

(At uni now, will be back with more InshaAllah)
But that is not the case right now in the world, right now the muslim Ummah is attacked from all sides by their enemies, thair have occupied our countries, they are killing our people every day and stealing our resources. So every context and time has its appropriate solution and the solution for our situation is not Ghandi-style peaceful demonstrations or marched, but armed struggle. The law of qisas and defense can be applied. Jihad has become fard ayn, and individual duty upon every able muslim man and women in our context.

Oh, okay. Then you should say that to your friends who I'm gonna quote below. BUT before that, I'm gonna have to ask: How do you know when a verse can be interpreted by the average Muslim and when not?

Here are the people whom you should remind that "those verses" (wait, which ones?) are clear and can even be understood without the tafseer.

No, dear brother. "Islam" comes from the root words of seen, laam, meem, which together make up a word that means "peace." It's a fact, just so you know.

Yes, it also means submission; no one can deny that, either.

I meant the verses about the fighting the unbelievers and the prescription of fighting upon the muslims like the prescription of fasting. Those verses are quite clear and can be understood by everyone. Some modern mufasireen and groups like the sufi's want to give them another meaning, like symbolic or something and that won't work, because those verses are unambiguous. But to understand them correctly and the context of those verses, then you need good classical scholars like Ibn Kathir and the hadiths.

The peace of Islam can only be implemented in the land when the kuffaar are defeated and they are not able to attack the muslims, otherwise you will never have true peace. Look at the state of the Ummah today, how can we have peace in our hearts and minds, when you see our brothers and sisters being attacked and bombarded. Look at Palestine for example.

Violence has always been a part of human life, you cannot deny that. If you look at the history of humankind, you will see that peace was the exception. Only Islam brought real peace when its laws were implemented, but nowadays the situation is again bad, because we have left the real Islam, the Islam with might and Jihad in the way of Allah.

Could you also add to your comment, How Wahabis worked with the french and British to bring down the ISLAMIC KHALIFATE.

Secondly About Palestine, show me a single protest a Palestinians has done for Pashtuns in the last 20 years on how Pakistan army bombs innocent Pashtuns. Secondly, you speak of Ummah, but why avoid the real cause of the Palestinian conflict, being that Arabs sold land to the jews, jews made success out of a waste land, and developed itself and now is a state that provides the world with top class doctors, engineers and technology.

I seen Palestinian Muslims in the UK who are very happy eating mcdonalds and contributing to the zionist state for which it hates hahaha

U speak of bombs killing Muslims, yet you avoid the issues of suicide bombings on markets, the hanging of bodies in markets, beheadings of political opponents, the slaughter of innocent people by Groups such as Taliban and Alqueda.

                        Kind Regards

Muslims should stop saying this. Islam does not bring peace in the same way that Islam does not bring war. Islam does not bring justice just like Islam doesn't not bring injustice and tyranny.

Islam is a set of beliefs, period. Those beliefs have exalted people to pacifism and have driven others to terrorism.

Communism is a set of ideals. It has driven people to good and bad deeds.

Christianity is also a set of beliefs and it, too, has inspired the likes of Florence Nightingale and Mother Teresa as well as Pope Urban II and Cortez.

Therefore, religion X is not a religion of peace. It is a religion of individuals who may follow their own paths.

Lastly, religion X is not a religion of terrorism. Individuals need rallying points when confronting oppression. A state of mostly uneducated masses will see uprising in the name of religion. The just opposition to Al-Saud, Mobarak, Al-Bashar and Zardari therefore comes in the name of religion. Had the inhabitants there been the followers of religion Y, they would've rallied around that banner and not that of religion X.
"If a nation expects to be ignorant and free, in a state of civilization, it expects what never was and never will be".

"Knowledge will forever govern ignorance; and a people who mean to be their own governors must arm themselves with the power which knowledge gives".

Lewanae zalmay, your is lewanae, but you are the one understanding much.appreciate your thoughts. I am not a fanatic muslims, to say muslims have the right for whatever they wnat and otherreligojs no. But Islam and alsoother religions can live peacefully. Basically masses can be expolited very nicely using religion, and everywhere religion is then used for politics.
See how poeple relate Palestine, Kashmir, Bosnia, Afghanistan problems to Islam, although all are pure political problems.
If people will look at these problems as politicla problems, then these can be solved very easily.
I remember many ahadith (saying of the Holly prophet) in newspaper about the purity and righteousness of Talioban regime in Afghanistan, and were printed in pakistani media. We can see the results, although same long black beard and turbans are now fighting against Pakistan, then indian agents.
This is politics and Pashtoons are exploited well politiclaly using the name of religion.
My request will be, Oh Pashtoon, dont hear Mullah, just see what the world is doing.
