  • My dear sister, threats from the enemies of Islam will never go away.

It is not practical to wait until enemies leave then start educating people. Afghanistan was not under the control of no foreign forces until recently. Yet, we never educated ourselves then. What makes you think that we will do it after they leave?

What I am saying is necessity is the mother of all inventions. Lets start rolling NOW.

The reason why the Taliban type mentality have taken over our innocent Pashtuns is because we are uneducated. Good luck getting rid of the Taliban now. They are well rooted now.

This is a lesson to be learnt. Start educating Afghans NOW--no matter where they are.
Islam will prevail, a promise made by the Creator of this universe:

[61:8] They desire to extinguish the light of Allah with the breath of their mouths, but Allah will perfect His light, even if the disbelievers hate it.

[61:9] He it is Who has sent His Messenger with the guidance and the Religion of truth, that He may cause it to prevail over all religions, even if those who associate partners with God hate it.

    • Well, I read alot of the comments here, we have on one side people saying Islam is more of a spiritual guide for inner clarification and peace, while we have on the other side, those who use it as a political tool through rivalry with other major faiths I.e Christianity and Judaism.

I would kindly ask some of those in the forum who have knowledge of the Quran, is that i was told once, that the Quran does not show any ruling nor any punishment for any crime, it just warns us of the afterlife, but nothing about lashes, beheadings, hands being cutt off and adulters being stoned in public and walls falling on them.

I will provide you with an Example. There was an Eyptian girl in Germany, who was trying to sue a man who insulted her by calling her names about being muslim, the man became crazy and stabbed her to death because he felt insulted, What was the outcome? It was heart breaking, anger, turmoil, protests etc, so when you kill somebody else in the name of Islam as some of you state is ok to do, others will follow suite and peace will be harmed.

To be Honest, I dont generally indulge in Relgionous issues, as there is always a dead end and it never stops. There is so much divison and hipocrasy within the Muslim Society, that some work ever so hard to avoid it and never bring it to the table for disccusion.

To kill somebody in the name of god, resolves nothing in this day and age,It just shows ones weakness to approach the problem.

There is a simple way to prevent people from being deceived into the hands of these Christian missionaries, and thats to show those who are poor and innocent, that Islam is for them, but sadly, there are many who leave islam after seeing other muslims do cruelty and bad things onto Innocent People.

      Kind Regards.

Please acquaint yourself with the classic scholars and what they have said with regards to this issue.
O'faithful hearken thy vezir, for he promises them another Gandamak and for the ancestors of Hari Nalwa a similar fate has been sealed. We shall shake the foundations of their inner sanctums, written in gold and immortal will remain this endeavor of Afghans.

Please post it for me. It should not be hard should it?

By the way, Shariah stems from Quran and sunnah. (just thought you needed to be reminded)

I don't think it should be hard for you to open the Holy Quran and give me one verse.

You are denying the inevitable. People are going to assume that Muslims are a bunch of crazy sword fighters who will beat you up if you try to tell them about their religion. They think already that Muslims are Muslim by force and not be choice (Trust me, I was part of this population at once) and it makes honkies aggressive towards us, and want to go to Muslim countries and blow us all up.

Of course NOBODY wants Christians (or anyone from any other religion) to spread their religion. But, we can't all set up a booby-trap to stop them. It WILL happen. So MEEM is trying to tell us how to deal with it, whereas all of you are sitting here saying its wrong.

IT IS WRONG, but we can't help it. How do we fix it when it happens?
I am sorry but 'MEEM' is not a scholar, neither am I nor are you! All scholars agree that the propagation of other religions in Darul Islam is forbidden. If you folks want to make your own rules, then so be it.

To you your way, and to me mine.

            peace

Maybe your scholars think like this.

What I find mind boggling is that you are not even able to prove your stance. At least do that much. If I am stubborn after you have presented and proven your case then attack me, but don't attack me until you have presented your case.

When you next go for Friday prayers, please ask your imam to explain Amr bil Ma'ruf wa Nahy an al Munkar in detail. A false religion is an 'al munkar' hence the propagation of it should be forbidden.

You [true believers in Islamic Monotheism, and real followers of Prophet Muhammad SAW and his Sunnah (legal ways, etc.)] are the best of peoples ever raised up for mankind; you enjoin Al-Ma'ruf (i.e. Islamic Monotheism and all that Islam has ordained) and forbid Al-Munkar (polytheism, disbelief and all that Islam has forbidden), and you believe in Allah. And had the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) believed, it would have been better for them; among them are some who have faith, but most of them are Al-Fasiqun (disobedient to Allah - and rebellious against Allah's Command).

Scholars can do Ijma or Qiyas based on Quran on Sunnah. That is why you have intellectual property rights!

I don't have a personal scholar, I am not a 'wahabi', 'salafi' or 'deobandi' or what ever other buzzword that crosses your mind. I have posted my response to Jasmine, it is your duty to ask your 'own' scholar with regards to this issue.

Your opinions and my opinions are irrelevant.

It is the prohibition that should be mentioned, not its permission. If its prohibition is not mentioned, then it means that it is allowed.

the prohibition is in amr bil maruf wa al nail bil munkar. Promotion of virtue and prevention of vice as Akbar khan posted.

SWince false religions are munkar, why should Muslims allow the spread of munkar?

I have not concluded anything nor do I have the authority to conclude anything unlike yourself and many other 'intellectuals' on this forum!

Allah swt says enjoin Al-Ma'ruf i.e. Islamic Monotheism and forbid Al-Munkar polytheism or disbelief.

Christianity propagates Trinity which is polytheism/shirk, now when Christians try to propagate the falsehood (al munkar) then it is the duty of the Islamic state to forbid such propagations! Because the duty of the state is Amr bil Ma'ruf wa Nahy an al Munkar!

                              • Sahih al-Bukhari
                                Volume 9, Book 89, Number 271:

                                Narrated Abu Musa:
A man embraced Islam and then reverted back to Judaism. Mu'adh bin Jabal came and saw the man with Abu Musa. Mu'adh asked, "What is wrong with this (man)?" Abu Musa replied, "He embraced Islam and then reverted back to Judaism." Mu'adh said, "I will not sit down unless you kill him (as it is) the verdict of Allah and His Apostle."
