^Hmm.
I find this very interesting, its raising my eyebrow I must say.Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.
A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai
For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."
The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

Yeah, Queens is thriving with Pashtuns, problem isn't lack of Pashtuns in the area the problem is lack of attendance. I dunno if they are aware of AlMaghrib or simply don't care but hey James, maybe you should tell them about it. And oh yeah, you stop by yourself too!
I desire that which is Just - House of Dukemina.

Hahahahahahahaaaaaaa totally made my night dearest! AlMaghrib FTW!
That reminds me - hey everyone living in the New England area - IlmFest is coming up THIS Sunday in Elizabeth, New Jersey. Its 20 dollars a person when you register online. Every Pashtun who is able or lives nearby (New Jersey/New York) is RESPONSIBLE for representing the Pashtun crowd in these Islamic events. Trust me, we are MAD rare in these places. Take it like an opportunity to educate people on Pashtuns.
So come one and come all. If you're a gal don't hesitate post on my wall and I'll make sure we can meet up, inshallah.
I desire that which is Just - House of Dukemina.

If you need to contact me regarding anything you can pm me - please don't hesitate to ask about anything. Tomorrow is the big day Inshallah. New Yorkers, New Jersey folks, Maryland/Virginian peeps, Pennsylvanians, and Pukhtanay from all over - hear the call and don't miss out. If money is the problem don't worry we'll work something out. If it's transportation, don't stress yourself we have people from all over coming and would love to have you.
I doubt this is something you would want to miss, even if you don't like the general idea of AlMaghrib - this is one day where you can check it out and experience it for yourself with five Sheikhs present and there for you.
I wanna see atleast SOMEONE from here and I'm mad serious about that.Last edited by Dukemina; 08-26-2010, 07:00 AM.I desire that which is Just - House of Dukemina.
