I don't know why but every afghan no matter what ethnic group, always think the suffering his/her ethnic group endure during the past 30 years of war..are much more significant then that of other afghans of other ethnic group... or even the history version or opinion that he/she knows is much more accurate and right then others... the fact of matter is that in past 30 years...starting with 14 years of West VS Soviet fight that were imposed on our people...and then another 9 years of Pakistanis imposed strategic depth..when the brownies in Islamabad tried hard revenge the subjection of their forefathers by sword of afghan kings...when we were in weakest time in our history... and now the imposition of Taliban and keeping them alive by Pakistan who has not given up their wet dream of strategic depth...during all these dark time all Afghans suffered equality.

Now until and unless we the new generation overcome the emotional blackmailing and the Fentah our enemies—specially Pakistan and Iran are inflaming in our country…we will continue to suffer and be mersibale. Its time for all of us to think as afghan first and foremost.

If those 30 million had afghan nationalism they would not be called Pakistani today... but lets forget that... before u can get those of your "afghans" in "afghankhwa"(your imaginary place for the people of NWFP will pull a knife your heart if you dare to call them afghan---ex Nokia.) think of unifying your own country. I honest don't care about people of NWFP.. if they want to join us... good let them make the move...instead of us spending all our money on them... if they don't then good also...i dont think the people of NWFP have anything valuable to contribute to Afghanistan... absolutely nothing other then Talibism and backwardism. Now this is my opinion… if you think otherwise then good for you…but the ground reality is something else..i just wish and hope you wake up from a fake dream and realize the reality…before those NWFP “Afghan” turns you and me and rest of Afghanistan into fifth province of Pakistan.

Uhmm Nokia is not the end all be all of Pashtunkhwa. Second of all, Pashtunkhwa has a lot of resources and strategic location...in fact the central government of Pakistan owes us billions of rupees in royalties. So if we can help provide hydal electricity, and tobacco, as well as oil of karak not to mention minerals in abundance (btw most of which have yet to be exploited) to a country of 160 million adding to the economy of Afghanistan would be a no brainer. Pashtunkhwa in general is a very rich area in terms of resources and many tourist locations, it also has strategic trade location one which makes kabul jalalabad peshawar dependent on each other. Long story short the interests are alligned.

BTW for every one Pashtunkhwa person who indulged in strategic depth there was one of Afghanistan as well. As far as I am concerned we are one people, but lets be clear there are leagues of sell outs on both sides of the durand line who did US and Pakistans bidding in the 80s and 90s..including non-Pashtuns.

          what a beautiful poem.

as far as the topic is concerned; people of pashtoonkhwa are very very unfimilar with other ethnic groups in afghanistan... to most people in pakhtoonkhwa tajik , uzbaks, and hazaras all mean a deragatory term they use as "gilam jam" ... actually they use this word to even refer to pashtoon refugees there. other ethnic groups in Afg mean Northern Alliance who are standing together to kill pashtoons-which is not the reality. there is huge difference between warlords and their influence and the normal people of afghanistan, which pashtoons in pashtoonkhwa are unaware of...

i have used this example before too, to them other ethnics are like those ghosts in ghosts stories they listen to from their mother... they have never seen the ghost, but they are intimidated by it. Yes, really pashtoons in pashtoonkhwa most of them feel very intimidated by other ethnic groups in afghanistan which is why you see Nokia (he has completely messed up my favorite's cell phone brand's name)... constantly talk about tajiks... it is his inner insecurity for the ghost he has heard stories of growing up.

Most of the pashtoonkhwa pashtoons also have this notion that just like they are opressed by panjabis , pashtoons in afghanistan are oppressed by tajiks... this is also their lack of knowledge and years of poison fed to them by pakistan Media and Government.

Having said all of that, i just want to say that I love pashtoons from both side of the border equally!. and it is very hard for me to even think about letting go of pashtoonkhwa. But i love Afghanistan more than ANYONE from ANY ethnic group... and I will side with those who will work for the betterment of my country... eve if my own blood turns against my country or becomes watan forosh... i will be the first one to break tighs with my blood relation, if not kill him/her

Self-pity or "feeling sorry for oneself" is the psychological state of mind of an individual in perceived adverse situations who has not accepted the situation and does not have the confidence nor ability to cope with it

as for the less significant members of this forum....like you would know what every one else in here is talking about.

They were sold out by an Afghan ruler to Firingis to bail out his rule in 1893 and when an oppurtune time to decide their political destiny fell in 1947, the Afghan rulers did not press to amalgamate its lost poeple but raised the stunt of Azad Pashtunistan, because the hegemonial Parsiban bureaucracy and aristrocracy opposed the union of the divided Pashtuns like you promote now. Afghanistan did not demand from Mountbattan to include the option of " joining Afghanistan" for the Pashtuns of Pashtunkhwa, in the Refrendum of 1947 under the pressure of Parsibans.Even their name was snatched and awarded to you, the non-Pashtuns to confuse the history and geography and disrobe them of their historical identity.Afghan rulers merely named a Chowk after Pashtunistan and gave stipend to some Pashtun individuals to hoodwink the Pashtuns and Pashtun cause, both in Afghanistan and Pashtunkhwa. The Parsiwans knew that if the Pashtuns from Pashtunkhwa returned to the fold of Afghanistan then, the balance in Parsiwans' favour would be reversed badly. This treacherous clique also feared that Pashtuns of Pashtunkhwa were more educated and politically more aware, whom they dreaded as a danger to the status quo in Afghanistan and rivals to their bureaucratic status, and therefore they conspired to oust them of " Afghaniat". The hegemonial Parsiban bureaucracy felt that the joining of Pashtunkhwa Pashtuns to their brothern would tilt the demographic configuration in favour of the Pashtuns which would get them swallowed in the brute majority of the Pashtuns. The Parsibans have also tremendously affected the political psyche of the persianized Pashtuns in Afghanistan with their gimmicks to safeguard the relegation of their status with the catchy slogan of Afghan nationalism and brainwash them to , " lets forget..."and urge them to " unify your own country.

This is what you could not hide. You fear that this lot is more educated and more active in politics. It has been also one of your nightmares that if Pashtun nationalism took tide among the Lar ao Bar Pashtuns to get them in one fold, then all your present standing will raze down to the earth. You laughed at Afghan Pashtuns by calling them " aksariat-e- befarhang", but you now feared that this forward thinking demographic tilt, if happened, will render you as mockable clowns. I don't see any difference in you and the Punjabis, who get mouthsores to call our land Pashtunkhwa and you are also adament on calling it NWFP, because you are allergic to the very name of Pashtuns. Your agenda is to keep apart the Pashtuns, maintain the status quo, ridicule the image of the Pashtuns, urging for recognizing the Durand Line to erect it as another Berlin Wall to divide one family and to get the leading role in secluded Afghanistan. Sweet day dreaming! We know your habit of fleeing Afghanistan to the West, Punjab and Iran when Afghanistan was caught by turmoil.

oyaaaa so boring...yea the Parsiwbans prevented the pashton unification or Yaya khan, Ayub khan and all those faithful Pathan regiment were welling and able to served Afghanistan....get ready buddy... more then half of ISI is Pashtons...how could we forget it was the same Pathan of Pakistan that actively destroyed the afghan state. Tell me something, did you guys rebelled against British choice? Didn’t half of you were supporter of Ali Jenah and other half including Ghafaar Khan wanted a united Hindustan? When was the last time you rebelled against Pakistan? Hello… stop blaming others for your total failure… even today you guys are all pawned in Punjab and Arabs games and yet your blaming others. Be a man and leave to your failure.

what more educated? the only thing you been providing afghan and Afghanistan are the filth of Dewbandi and Talibai....seriously you guys lack culture...now forget about education... i have been to Peshawar and have seen how they treated women and people. As for as keeping pashton apart...i don't give a rat about Pashton...if pashton wants to be together then good for them...if they don't good for them... the fact is pashtons never liked each other... they are not a nation...they are backward people that been used by almost all the imperialist to keep the region backward.
Now as for as being scared... my friend Arabs with Qorhan on one hand and sword on other could not scare us Parsibaan...we not only survived but in less then few centuries our culture and language replaced Arabic as court and official language of all the Islamic countries...from Hindstuan to Turkey...Greeks, Arabs, Turks and Mongolis all other with much more sophisticated culture got dissolved into our culture...and yet you think we are scared of your tribal culture? Don’t think so buddy… all we want is peace and to leave in peace… we are tired of Pashtons traitors…selling our country to soviets, and then Pakis/Arabs… when this never ending war will end…the primitive tribalism mindset and culture need to end… enough is enough.. time to live like human being…with justice for all and equal opportunity for everyone.
We are tired of those Peshawar Pathan getting free education in our universities and yet do their services to Pakistan. We are tired of Pakistani/Indian Dewbandi islam mixed with Pashtonwali in shape of Taliban islam being imposed with sword...we are tired of injustice and backstabbing...Pashtons against others and Pashton against Pashtons. We never left our country...go and check how our people fight to end inside the country...we never attack and then went to hiding behind our Punjabian masters.. we fought soviets and Pakistan inside our country...never leaving it. Yes what a political aware lots you guys are… this is why you guys are used, abused and killed by your Punjabian masters… yea god bless this political awareness...while your so called secular nationalist are cashing and going pro-panjabian… even going as far as actively asking for Punjabi army to start a war in pashton area.
Even me as human being feel sorry and anger by the killing of Pashtons civilians by their fallow pashtons or Pakis OR West… did u watch those videos of young guys executed by Punjabi army? It made me so sad today… young guys who should be attending universities, who should be looking forward to future…were first used by Punjabs against Indian and Afghanistan and now killed like sheep. My hearts cries for all these people.
