I mean first of all the US and the Taliban are military enemies, the Talibs are ruled by some shadow person and the US by and unstable person. Considering where we are now, contradicting press releases shouldnt derail a real peace process, and if they do then this process wasn’t going to work at all anyways.

These are not even negotiations at this point, these are still talks about talks. The Taliban have a track record of denying what is the truth so I am actually inclined to believe him. It stands to reason that there would be no reason for him to lie about a ceasefire suggestion while the Taliban don’t want to make it seem like they are at a point of considering this without concessions from the US.
US concession is Trump withdrawing from Afghanistan

Khalilzad has to dress this loss up in whatever way he can. Mattis resigned and the warhawks like Graham have lost their minds.

Are you sure they were all Afghan? They have a lot of Iranians there and they will do anything for money.
Khushal, not to be a prick ....but do you know many Afghans?

seriously you seem to have this unrealistic idea of how Afghans actually behave and more buy into the Afghan hype ...you're right we hype ourselves as "Ghairatmand" but the actual behavior of Afghans is another story. ....if you hang out with more Afghans, you'll be immensely disappointed.

Also, as economist Kaushik Basu says: "For a nation to progress it is important for people to spend time on science, mathematics and literature instead of spending time showing that 5,000 years ago their ancestors did science, mathematics and literature."

He is most likely doing this to piss off the MIC GOP guys who aren't giving him the money for the wall.

I live in the Midwest and most Afghans(farsiwan and Pashtun) here are pretty descent. We are pretty tight knit because there are not that many of us here. The paki Pashtuns and non Pashtuns are also pretty descent(more of them). The new Afghan translator arrivals(mostly Pashtuns) are the weird ones. One Kandahari guy(recent arrival) made a khatum for Gen Raziq which was pretty weird.

But Im not seeing Afghan US soldiers or anything like that.

Really, I always thought you were a Cali Afghan ....where are you Omaha or Chicago? Those are the two midwest places that I know Afghans living at.

In the DC area, you'll see a LOT of Afghans doing military work or enlisted. However, the ones I was speaking about specifically were in Texas.

Most Muslims here are Arabs and Somalis. I would say in the Muslim community, the Somali youth are the most messed up with drinking and weed smoking, some are even pimping their women.

I got some kaliwal in DC area, some of them are messed up. One of them was in jail and killed a guard in jail and now is in there for life.
I have visited Californian friends who are Iranian and I have some kaliwal (raised in Kabul kaliwal) there too who are pretty messed up as far as keeping conservative values but they were liberal in Kabul as well. I did not meet any Iranians who had joined the military or had even married Americans and I had gone deep into their community since those friends are very close. I only met one Afghan who had married an American but no military recruits.

Basically they paid a bunch of idiots to look and dress the part in simulated combat zones as actors while US troops trained to navigate the local population. Young and old, they lined up for whatever cash they got to train these people to occupy their country. I know most people have their price but goddamn was their price low.
I live in Southern California, near the big military bases, and I only know of one Afghan who supposedly did this work (I say supposedly because the person who told me is a major liar and gossiper). I’m sure there were others (and I know for sure that a number of people did translation work which is even worse), but most of the people that do this stuff are basically “lost causes.” They won’t be Afghans in a generation or two. It’s sad but I fully expect the very westernized Afghans to completely assimilate into the American population very soon.

A few months back I saw a twitter account of a lady with the last name “Noorzai.” This person had a white husband/boyfriend, a kid with him, had a tattoo, took pics of her alcoholic drinks, dressed like a white lady, etc. The only thing that hinted at her Pashtun roots was her last name, otherwise she was completely indistinguishable from any other western kafir lady. This is the future of many Afghans. It saddens me but this is what happens when the lands of Muslims are so weak and masses of us migrate to a land of kufr.

Yeah, there are quite a few afghans in prison. Most of them for dumb things, like selling drugs, Actually one Kandari girl in Schenectady, NY went away with her brother for selling narcotics and she had a torai boyfriend and such.. And yep, they tried to act "thuggy" ....I feel bad because now her mother is all alone, their father passed away in the 90's.

                  crazy world.

I can show you a few of these on FB,

Believe me, I understand ....I'm not saying this as saying we should accept this stuff as the new "norm" ....in fact quite the opposite ...we have to awaken to what's around us ...we can't continue pretending that being an Afghan means you're born to be this Ghairatmand rugged, Noble Muslim that stands for what's good and pure.. ....human psyche is really complicated and no one is impervious to negative influences .....even with my own family ....hard to admit but its true ....

These are the signs ....I feel bad for these people not just because of what they're doing to themselves ...but that the things they're doing is a signal to major events in Prophecy ...and they're setting themselves up to be on the short end of the stick ....we can only pray that we're saved from the consequences of this fitnah ...but we never know ....the world is chaotic and it's getting worsse ....though we're in relative comfort ...that can be very short lived at any time.

Prepare yourself ...we can't save everyone sadly.

The Western culture itself is changing. Today, the new generation doesn't really want marriage, family or kids. Most live alone with their cat or puppy and that trend is increasing and is expected to continue to increase. On TV, we see more commercials about abused dogs charities than we see about abused kids and orphans.
Capitalism has turned industrial societies into consuming societies and third world countries into manufacturing hubs and that includes babies.
