In what country are policies not based on demographic realities? This is a basic practice of modern statecraft.

Also, as economist Kaushik Basu says: "For a nation to progress it is important for people to spend time on science, mathematics and literature instead of spending time showing that 5,000 years ago their ancestors did science, mathematics and literature."

Are you stupid, dude? In the West there is an entire ideology around it called "identity politics". Most of Westerners are Christians or "White" as a mere label and those are not decisive factors in their lifes.

But in Afghanistan being a Pashtun means practicing Pashtunwali, having a Pashtun name, belong to a tribe, enjoy and partake in Pashtun traditions such as Attan, wear Shalwar Kameez. In Afghanistan being a Muslim means fasting, praying 5 times a day,.. most of our people do respect all these things. Its not just a label like in the West but a way of life. Thats why we need to have reliable information about our country and our people.

People in the west are not politically driven by their religious beliefs or ethnic backgrounds which his why I asked for social benefits of such an idea in a place like Afghanistan and in a political state that Afghanistan is in, today.
What does wearing shalwar or performing attans have to do with the importance of collecting demographics concerning religious or ethical backgrounds in Afghanistan?? Are you asking for your right to attan or fast during Ramzan?? Is that what this is about??

Let me spell it out for you: You as well as that tiny speck of a man rambling in the background are interested in proving how Pashtuns are greater in population in comparison to people of other ethnicities in Afghanistan. And you, for some strange reason, believe you should be given “rights” and have reformed “policies” based on these demographics. I don’t need to remind you that “rights” and “policies” granted based on demographical statistics are called privileges, not rights.

There is nothing wrong with wanting better things for one’s self. When I was in third grade, I was taught that one should want the same for one’s neighbour as one wants for themselves. As a matter of fact, it’s one of the basic principles of the religion that you all are dying to have displayed on your ID cards. So why is it that when it comes to Pashtunwali or being a Muslim, you want it displayed on your card but you do not want to be a part of it when it comes to practicing it in your actions? What is wrong with making the world a better place and then making sure everyone gets an equal share of this goodness?? Why so greedy??

Are you so afraid that you do not possess the goodness to have someone else grant you a portion of that goodness unless you have the upper hand in the matter??

You will get yourselves your “rights” and “policies” but 10 years down the line, someone else will take that “right” back from you and for the same amount of greed or fear if not worse. Then you will switch positions and one of you will become the beggar and the other, the oppressor. That is the only future for people of ideologies like yours. That is what has been going on in Afghanistan all these years and look at all the prosperity you are spreading and the future you have built for each other as a nation. Bravo.

And while we are at it, you do not have to be a Pashtun to wear shalwar kamees or perform attans in Afghanistan. Anyone with a basic knowledge of the country or its people, understand that. Nor does performing attans, speaking Pashto or wearing shalwar kamees makes one a Pashtun.

Apparently DZJ is ignorant of First Nations/Native Americans, not to mention the upsurge of identity politics in the West. Even in DZJ's motherland of Canada, Trudeau plays to ethnic groups and minorities, as if he was Mother Theresa to everyone that isn't white. Angela Merkel does the same in Germany. Demographic dynamics plays an immense role in politics and policy even IN The West.

Firdousi isn't Pashtun, why would he want to prove Pashtuns are a majority?!?!? He's Herati Tajik, ID cards would tackle imbalances where power has been marginalized against Tajiks, Hazaras and Other Groups.

As for the rest of DZJ's drivel, WTF is she even talking about? What she says could happen even if they don't have ID cards or have a demographic analysis based on them. No one is completely selfless ...

What about Cataluña? Basqueland? Scotland? Cosica? Ethnicity and nationalism still play a huge role in their regions. You know nothing because you live in a fake artificial Liberal state with no history or culture. Your seem to believe that Europe is like Canada lol

There is something important we should point out: the reason why religion nor ethnicity play an important role in their politics its because first off the West its the only civ that has systematically launched annihilation wars on minorities. Ethnic groups have been so decimated that most of Western states, until modern times with immigration, were quite homogenous. Secondly, religion is not playing an important role either because most of Westerners are not religious. As I pointed out before, Christian is just a label.

Thats why Western democracias/nation-states are so functional: because they have homogenous populations. If we want to be like the West we should obliterate our minorities as well. We should ask ourselves if we want our cultures, ethnicities and faith become just mere "labels" like in the West or we want them to keep playing an important role in our lives.

Dont be stupid. The importance of ethnicity has been already explained. I am not asking for more ethnic politics which has proved to be extremely nefarious. But we have every right to know the ethnic and religious reality of our country. In your beloved Western countries its pretty well known the ethnic composition, why we are not allowed to know in our own countries?

I am "Tajik" btw. And the "tiny man" you talking about is way smarter than you and as far as I know he is not an ethnonationalist. Show some respect.

I am certainly not, quite the contrary actually. In fact I want this to disspell all the nonsense propaganda fed to us by Pashtun Nationalist demagogues for decades.

Nah they're different people. The Qadiani was very open about who he was (aside from the crucial detail of being a Qadiani), even going so far as to provide us with his pictures and real name.

Sikandar is very vague about their identity, and avoids referring to any group of people as his/her own. The reason I realized they were Indian is the tells in the writing style of their posts, like writing "Ramzan."

I thought it was DZJ because of the modus operandi, Posing as having some moral high ground then completely contradicting themselves afterwards.

You are either religious or your are not. when you are religious, you are politically driven by your religious beliefs, when you are not religious, you are not. There is no such thing as being driven by beliefs that are labels only to you.

We started talking about this subject because we were concerned that when religion and ethnicity is displayed on an identity card, it subjects an individual to discrimination because of the instability we have in the system at this point of time. I never said that this is how it should be from now on, I said, at this point of time, singling individuals will be disadvantageous. I even went further to say that the downside to not displaying religion or ethnicity would be discouraging people from taking pride in their identity and that was never a good thing. This, you agreed to until the clueless faggot came forward and started talking about " rights and policies" given to people based on these factors. First of all, no one wants to be like the West. Secondly, if being like the West, you are suggesting that people are treated with fairly and with respect, despite their ethnic and religious backgrounds, that is called equality. Those rights were not given to anyone by signaling them out, those were given to them by default. A tolerant environment was created and everyone was given these rights by default. No one is treated good because they are Christians, Muslims or Hindus.

Nationalism is not for Pashtuns only. You were drowning and you forgot whose grip you grabbed on to. We have spoken of demographics plenty, let's focus some on basic geography. Basing your claim on not being a Pashtun Nationalist on the fact that you are not from Herat is utterly disappointing. Kindly refer to a 5th grade geography book from any province of Afghanistan.
