I haven't really spent much time in company of Pakhtuns to know how their behavior differs from ours generally. I have noticed some traits through social media, for example, that Pakhtuns seem to get hot under the collar sometimes, and also their manner of speaking is not always polite, unlike the sophisticated and cultured Muslims of UP. Although I am part Punjabi, my "mezaaj" is more in tune with the Urdu speaking Muslims.

The Lahoris are known for using a lot of foul language in their daily speech, but thankfully I'm not a Lahori and I despise many of their traits.

Another thing about Pakhtuns which I notice is their "cliquish" tendency to mostly want to associate with other Pakhtuns. They are obviously a lot more conscious of their identity as Pakhtuns. But I find that we so called "Indic" people find it natural to mix with and socialize with other people, in fact we love doing so. We are more adventurous in this regard.
Pashtuns are the most cool headed and down to Earth ethnicity. They are most polite when talking to you-unless you deliberately try and berate them.

The so called “sophisticated “ Urdu speakers are anything but that. They put on an air of sophistication and culture-in reality they are the same as everyone else.

The Pashtun preference for sticking to their own is not unique to Pashtuns only. The same can be said for any ethnicity.

So it becomes a problem when a European is mistaken for an Asian and vice versa. Any Pashtun with half a brain knows that they are inherently different (not necessarily better) but different to the average Indic. So naturally it’s irritating when you are mistaken especially if iris done deliberately for a normal Indic/Asian.

Why should it be irritating to be mistaken for another ethnic group? It means that you are too conscious of your ethnic identity. For me, ethnic identity is something incidental. My identity is based on religion. If someone mistakes me for an Afghan or Arab I don't feel irritated, though I will probably correct that person and say I am of Indian descent.

But my religious identity is so important to me that I always dress as a Muslim and virtually always keep my head covered with an Islamic cap, and usually wear a thobe too. Therefore it is impossible that any sane person would take one look at me and ever assume that I am anything but Muslim.

Yet I myself frequently see some average brown guy who might be Muslim but I can't assume he is, he could be Hindu or something else. A lot of Afghans and Arabs look 100% European/Caucasian. If they don't distinguish their appearance somehow to look more Islamic it's not surprising people will assume them to be White Europeans. If you ask me that should be considered irritating. But the solution is to make your appearance Islamic.

My response was still valid even in context but obviously why would you make a valid argument when you can be a total idiot

Because its ignorant and can end up violently as well for example how ignorant white americans will beat up sikhs cuz they think they are muslims and many other situations like that.

What reality? Ordinary Pakhtuns are more attached to their religious identity as Muslims, being Pakhtun comes second. Its only the elite leftist politicians like ANP that hijack the representation of Pakhtun community at large. Pakhtuns are leaving behind the useless leftism and realizing the power of Islam.

Bahaahahahahaha that's so not true ....people usually for some reason think I'm Latino ....when I was a young, I used to work as a landscaper and the secretaries used to call me The Latin Lover

Also, as economist Kaushik Basu says: "For a nation to progress it is important for people to spend time on science, mathematics and literature instead of spending time showing that 5,000 years ago their ancestors did science, mathematics and literature."

That's just the narrative the Pakistani government has engineered/trying to engineer. If you tried to go to the tribal regions and ask for a Pashtun woman's hand in marriage ....you'd get stiff resistance.

Lol even extraterrestrials would not mistake an afghan with an Indic. Indics always try to whitewash and give the Indic culture a touch of masculinity by adding non Indics from Hindukush to the Spektrum of Indianism.

You want Pashtuns to to lay down their Pashtun identity with the hope that you and your ranjits then can marry a Pashtun girl. I penetrated your mind lol.

You know what? That's what it ultimately comes down to ....trying to get with a pashtun woman ....but it doesn't matter if she's pretty or not....just as long as she's Pashtun...and WHITE ....I've seen some HIDEOUS Girls married off to tam tor Pakistanis, one girl was fatter than Zulfia over here, but she was fair. It doesn't matter, it's all about the prestige associated with her being fair and Pashtun, it's like an attempt to regain some lost masculinity that they never had.

Honestly, they can take all our ugly girls ....

From my experience, Whites have a very difficult time distinguishing between all of us, Arabs, Afghans and Indians unless it is apparent through dress.
lmao. no. maybe non-African mixed Arabs and Afghans can get lumped into Middle Eastern by Whites, but Indics (Pakis and Indians) are easily distinguished as their own category, they don't look like any of these. some NW Indics like thos types promoted by Bollywood do look more West Asian, but avarage Indian or Indic looks a lot more like Aziz Ansari than Akshay Kumar.

I find it weird though they aren't as fetishis about the Chinese or other Mongoloids who have pale skin as well. I just think it's a result of British colonialism.

ALso since Pashtuns have been historical conquerors of Hind, saying you have a Pashtun wife is like saying they overtook their conquerors or something. it's like the way Blacks feel social prestige if they have a white wife.
