You guys need to stop with this stupid TajikvsPashtun BS. Its not about who is better. Its about the way to bring peace to our land once and for all.

The reason for that was, that people with lower intelligence cannot grasp the complexity of the world and therefor have the need to simplify it.

We can agree that we Afghans or Muslims are more family oriented, but it is as far our agreement goes. The action of your brother, does not effect you. Let say your brother committed a crime, this does not mean you have to get punished as well. We as human being in general have all different opinion and thought process. We are individuals and this cannot be changed. Having more family oriented culture, does not mean you're a not an individual. Every single person is representing no one but himself. Family, ethnicity, tribe, country etc is all part of ones identity, its not the identity.

Imagine someone asked you who represent you Muslims. Would you have answered Taliban, Daesh, Saudi kings, Iranian mullah? lol. I hope no one ask you this question, because you would humiliate all Muslim.

It the same if I asked you, who represent you Tajiks. Abdullah x2, Atta, Saleh, Stalin, lol. You need to wake up and smell the coffee. The world isn't the way you're portraying it to be. The way you see it, is nothing but a very simplified social construction you have created for yourself.
Cut the s hit. I couldnt care less about waht you read. Pretty obvious that Pashtun inclination toward terrorism can be explained from a sociological, historical and psycological perspective, but I dont care. The only fact here is that those who committed horroible crimes in our country on a daily basis are Pashtuns. And those non terrorist Pashtuns refuse to condemn it or they blame it on everyonelse instead doing introspection.

When you go to Badghis and you see that the entire province is peaceful except for Murghab which is inhabitaed by Pashtuns, you can see there is a problem. Same thing happens in every other non Pashtun province: in Herat we dont have any terrorist except for those districts inhabited by Pashtuns (Pashtun Zarghoon, Shindand or Adraskan). In Balkh, the entire province is epaceful except for Chahar Bolak, a Pashtun district.

You see? There is a pattern here. And now stop the BS and condemn Pashtun terrorism for once in your life. I am eager to condemn any crime committed by Tajik forces since the foundation of this country. You see its only Pashtuns who committ crimes in this country since its very inception.

This is too simplistic. Uzbeks are part of the insurgency too. IMU and its derivatives have been fighting in Afghanistan for many years. Many of the suicide bombings in Kabul have been done by Uzbeks.

This is a very lame argumentation, specially when IMU do not have influence on Afghanistan´s Uzbek population and get fought by them extremly. IMU tried to influence some youths in some mosques but they failed after some months. Most terrorists in northern Afghanistan are either foreigners or actors for a certain political group. There is not a single proof that any of the suicide bombings where done by Uzbeks. Every evidence that could been tracked back showed it was either the Taliban or Haqqani and in some cases Hizb Islami Gulbudin fighters. IMU fighters do no more work with the Taliban. They very soon understood Taliban are using Islam as a tool for ethnic-political issues. They have killed many Taliban fighters. Who are ISIS fighters in Farah, Nangarhar, Khost and Kunar or Zabul province? Uzbeks? I remember when 2006 or 2007 about 10000 Uzbek fighters were invited to Helmand. They stayed there for about 3 weeks before leaving Helmand for Taliban because Taliban proved they just need backers and support to reach their own political goals and they had never an islamic vision. What the Uzbeks did afterward? They entered the Pakistani side of the border and first dealt there with Pakistani Taliban very succesful lol

That was my point, but people here are idiots.

I appreciate Pashtuns because what you see is what you get. If they hate you, they will let it be known to your face. So Pashtuns in general are not snakes compared to hindus and farsi afghans that smile in your face, but talk **** behind your back and on the internet.

The amount of falsies in just one post is too much.

I know many non Pashtuns with Pashtun names like Zalmai, etc and turkish names like Taimur etc, what's your point?

Shir Shah Suri was not a Pashtun. He was a Tajik whose grandfather married ''in the lands of Afghans the daughter of an Afghan chief'' ... and the Lodhis were Turks who became Hindus and afterwards converted to Islam, Ibn Batuta correctly describes them as a branch of the Khalaj Turks of whom a part are wandering in the northern parts of centrak asia, another part in zamindawar and the Ludhi branch existing in India but hated by the full-blood Turks because the Lodhis lost their idiom ... What or who are Pashtuns or Afghans? Modern Afghans are a mixture of Turks, Arabs, Mongols, Panjabis, Gujjaris, Kakkars, Gypsies, Jews, Iranians, Nuristanis, Dardi people and some other bunch of people who politically during one stage in history came together and formed that confederation what we call today Pashtuns.

Suris and Lodhis are Pashtun tribes who self identify as Pashtun and all credible historians agree about their Pashtun origin. Shir shah Suri and the Lodhi kings Identified as Pashtuns and not Turk or Tajik and all historians agree on this.

Pashtuns have almost zero Middle Eastern (Arab, jew) or Mongoloid/turkic admixture according to genetic tests. Tajiks on the other hand show higher mongoloid and even Arab admixture than Pashtuns. Genetic test have shown that Pashtuns are closely related to Pamiris, Shina, caucasian farsiwans of Afghanistan and caucasian Baloch. It is probable that modern Pashtuns are a confideration of different peoples but these people must have been closely related because all pashtuns whether in Afghanistan or Pakistan share almost the exact genetic make up.

Dude, stop comparing an apple with a tomatoe! If you do not know anything do not come up with self-pleasing claims but ask ...Words like Namoos (pers.), Nang (pers.) and Ghairat (arab.) are of Persian and Arab origin, of NEW PERSIAN origin, from Parthian namash and Sogdian namngo. If these words existed in Pashtu, please, bring us the proof and their original forms. Your weak argumentation of ''common ancestral language'' is again a self-pleasment and nothing else. The ergative elements in Pashtu clearly point a non-Aryan and a non-Iranian origin as well in additional to Turkic Arabic Mongol Jat ... elements and influence. Isn´t this plausible for you that all languages around Pashtu had influenced it but Pashtu never influenced its neighbours? Hard to understand this? Modern Pashtu is the work of Pashtu Tolana, a linguistical fabrication institution or do you mean shirdaghblay has somewhere in Pashtu any root? You heard about the infamous and fake Pata Khazana and how they hard tried to **** out new words with no logic? And even then two Tajik academics created for Pashtuns words like Poohantun, Poohanzai etc that today have created for ourself a big conflict (what an ironie!). You know that Shir Darwaza, Pir Roshan and Akhund Darwaza were not Pashtuns but Ismaili 12-Imamite Shiites and of eastern-Tajiki speaking people? Dude, Tajiki speaking people created and reformed for Arabs their alphabet and grammer and now you come up with your ''devisive Pashtu''. How many books do you have? How many words at all have Pashtu? Have you ever taken a dictionary into your hand and looked up for the majority of the Pashtu words which origin they have? Listen dude, I do not want to take this too deep. I have other important things to do but why should I take the inbreed of a Mongol-Indian and Turk-Indian serious, someone whose tribal suffix is zai, originating from Turkic -zoy and Mongol -Xxi with the tribal suffix -Khil, from Middle Age Khalaj dialect Oglu/ogul / and ancient -akul? Khushal Khan Khattak was not an Afghan in modern sense since he did lived in Panjab and he is your Atal (Turkic word) and your ane (Turkic word) praises him as well your cousin Baryali and Zmarai and your cousine Toorpikay ... all Turks. What makes you believe your Pashtu or Pashtuns are ''cleaner''? Behind every myth there is a truth to be find. Shah Hussein was not just a tale....''intellectual discussion''? .. YOUR KIND OF 'INTELLECTUAL DISCUSSION''? Tell me what is the native Pashtu word for flower, not GUL, ABSOLUTELY NOT SINCE IT IS New-Persian .. please... which part of Pashtun culture is ''Iranic''? If that is the case why Pashtun culture is not related with any cultures around them and believe me, do not come up with ''Atan'' and claim it that Sindhis and Baloochis have this as well .. yeah they do, but Jews, Africans, Bushmen and Greecs and and and have ''circle movings'' as well. Unlike Pashtu culture or Pashtu language, Tajiki (Dari) has to those foreign ''Arabic'' words equivalent Persian/Tajiki words and suprisingly not Arabic considered words are Arabic but in fact originating from Middle-Persian and Parthian like maghz for brain which is taken from Parthian and Palawi Maghzgan or Ferdows taken from Persian Pardis, Par, Paraday and and and or the word din for belief which originates from Persian, Sanscrit and Buddhis Dan, den and dana but heyyyyy you super linguist, you are the expert and soooooo pure is your Pashtu and culture.
Look even the fascist Encyclopaedia Iranica classifies Pashto as an Iranic language so all your imaginary theories mean nothing to real linguists.

Paṧtō (Pa/əҳt’o; for x̌ see below) is an Iranic language spoken in south and southeastern Afghanistan, by recent settlers in northern Afghanistan, in Pakistan (North-West Frontier Province and Baluchistan), and on the eastern border of Iran.

I know that Farsi has influenced Pashto more because Farsi has been the lingua franca of Iranian plateau. In the same way Arabic has influenced Farsi more than Farsi has influenced Arabic because Arabic was the lingua franca of Iranian plateau when New Farsi was getting formed.

We know the origins of Pir Rokhan and our historians have acknowledged his origin so nothing new there.

Your Iranian brothers have their own version of Pashto Tolana and come up with Farsi words for western words/inventions all the time, lol.

BTW guys I beg you to not bring all that stupid mongol-tajik vs hindu-pashtun BS back again. It has been several times proved by genetic tests that most of Pashtuns and Tajiks are Eastern Iranian people. So its pointless to go over it again.

It's based on past experience, maybe they changed since but in the past their articles were too Iran centric by which I mean the modern country of Iran.

And if you do not know the origin of Tajiks then better shup up. Tajiks like Iranians and Pashtuns, Germans, Australians, Americans are the result of several ''tribes''. There was no such a tribe called ''Persian''. The ''Persians'' were the Aspianis, the Medes who settled in Parsa (modern Fars) which the Greec used the name to call them. Right. Persian is not an ethnicity, the way maybe Pashtun is. never was. (even Pashtuns themselves are amalgamation of several other people, even some Turkic groups overtime Pashtunized who are Pashtun now). It's more a linguistic and cultural unit, rather than an ethnic one. There are no ''Persian'' tribes. never were.

Persian is derived from Pars. Pars was an ancient city. It's like Kandahari becoming an ethnicity. of course Kandaharis is not an ethnicity. In the old times, some of the empires might had capital in ancient city of Pars, but we know the empires changed capitals to all over the region. The ancient Greeks who recorded antiquity history called this the Persian, after the capital. Greek historians even refered to Pashtuns/Afghans as a ''Persian tribe''.

This is all factually wrong. Persians are indeed an ethnic group. The original Persians were a tribe of western Iranians that settled in modern day western and southwestern Iran. This is evidenced from their own records and from records of neighbouring Assyrians (in modern day Iraq).

'Persia' is the name of their homeland, not a city. When the Persians conquered Elam, their capital was moved into a city they called Anshan. When the Persians went on from there to overthrow the Medes and start forming their first empire, the capital was moved to Pasargadae and then to Persepolis.

Persian acknowledgedment of their own ancestral unity and self-identified ethnicity can be found in both Achaemenid and Sassanid records, not to mention Persian records from the Islamic era onwards.

Greeks may have referred to other Iranic peoples as 'Persian tribes', but Persians themselves have identified themselves and the people they considered themselves to be related to as "Iranians" in their own historical sources.

In Persian history, they actually consider Afghans to be a foreign people, not related to Iranians. You can even see this in the Shahnameh where the few times Afghans are mentioned they are viewed as foreigners outside the so called 'Iran shahr' and put in the same bracket with Arabs and Indians.

There was never a country called Persia. the word Persian is derived from Pars. Pars was only city. ''Persia'' and Persepolis are just a greekified names.

Achamenids had their capital in Babylon. It might have been a tribe from begining, but today there are no Persian tribe. in modern context all ''Persian'' is, is a cultural and linguistic unit, not a racial or ethnic one. Most of Iran identify as Persian, when originally there were other tribes such as Medes, Parthians, etc.

I don't know why you are discussing wether Pashtuns are related to PErsians or not. That Greeks refered to them as ''Persian tribe'' all shows Greek ignorance of the region. Persian word derives from Pars, it's not at an ethnic name like Pashtun/Afghan. Persian word is similar to an Athenian, Olympian, or Spartan. these were all cities.

                              Pashtuns/Afghans are a distinct race, I agree.
