and even where there was Islamic resistance, my my such magnificent "resistance"

Imperialists love Islam, much like how a Child molester embraces its victims learning disability; Makes exploitation that much easier

I guess you have never heard of Faqir of IPI, Omar Mukhtar of Libya or Abdul Qadir of Algeria?

I guess you made up the part where I said Islamists have never taken part in any anti-colonial resistance?

Are you conflating Islamist with Wahhabist? They're not the same thing. They may both have "Islam" as their drive, but as far as the framework and worldview they go by, they're quite different.

Not in Egypt? Hassan Al Banna? Muhammad Abduh?
Not in India?? Shah Waliyullah? Shah Ismail Shahid?
Not in Turkey? Beizzuddin Said Nursi?
Not in Afghanistan? Sayyid Jamaluddin Al Afghani?
Not in Algeria? Shaikh Abdul Qadir Juzairi?

Are you kidding me? Making flippant commentary isn't some going to compensate for your historical ignorance

        Go read a book

Gee Commies say the darndest things. Jackoff.

Also, as economist Kaushik Basu says: "For a nation to progress it is important for people to spend time on science, mathematics and literature instead of spending time showing that 5,000 years ago their ancestors did science, mathematics and literature."

Then if that's not what you're saying then? Are you one of those Cyber-Leftists from 2009, who's still running with that hyperbolic logic that "fighting the colonialists was really playing into the imperialist hands...because reasons..."

Or some double-think cognitive dissonance like that.

I used to play this as a kid, there was some crushed glass that adhered to the string, but it was finely crushed. It could cut a string but doubtful that it could do any serious damage to human tissue like slit throats.

That'd be funny if people got all lethal and started putting razor blades on it. That's how I imagine a prison kite battle to unwind.

Without Islam, Arab culture is belly dancing, smoking sheesha, debka, racism and dull food. What part of 'Arab culture' do you like?

LOL I almost never participate in anything "Arab", most of it is retarded, except the food, classical poetry and the older Music; the dancing is lame, the sports are lame, the clothes (at least for men) even lamer, Arab pop culture is disgusting. Traditional Perso-Afghan stuff appeal to me way more. I'm just saying you're making a lot of faulty assumptions.

But I agree this Arab chaplousi is as bad as Farangay chaplousi with Pakis and Indians. No need for Arab chaplousi. Nawroz is awesome.

Smoking shisha is disgusting. But Belly dancing isn't actually an Arab thing, Arabs have worse stuff than that.

But come on ....Kabsa and Mandi are amazing. Arab food is the perfect balance of seasoning, they just need more vegetables, too meat heavy.

Do you realize plenty of Arabs are non-Muslims?

I like Arab food (Shawarma, Mandi, Gozi, Hummus, Falafel, Mansaf, Mutabel, Fatoush,.. I find Lebanese food delicious), I like their clothes (Emirati Kandooras are my favorite), I like their music, their architecture, I like Khalil Gibran, I like their history, I like Shishas (this aren't Arabic per se)... why you guys want always to make everything simple? Islam is not everything in this life.

I don't care. What you find lame I find it interesting. I find my heritage more appealing too but that doesn't mean I can't admire other cultures.

Most of what you just mentioned is Fenician culture. Not Arab culture.

That's fine, I wasn't trying to discourage you, I'm just saying there's a lot of rubbish,, but certainly you'll find a lot of fascinating things or things you may see as honorable.

                                "Phoenician"*

"Fenician" culture doesn't exist anymore. Their culture was assimilated into Levantine Arab culture. You remind me of some fascist Christians from Syria and Lebanon always bitching against Arabs claiming that Islam changed the demography and the culture of the region but thats utter BS basically because Arabs took over the ME much before Islam (Palmyra, Ghassanids, Lakhmids,. so I don't know what you mean by "Fenian culture" when this culture vanished long time ago.

Indeed I find Levantine Arab culture much interesting than Arabs from northern Africa (Morocco is a nice place) or the Khalij region. Love Emirates and Oman though
