    What you mean 25th economy PPP wise? In term of GDP? GDP is not a good indicator of success, a country with a high GDP can be a country in which only 1% of the population benefits from the growth of GDP while 99% of the population lives in poverty. GDP doesn't take into account literacy rate, number of years of education, life expectancy, infant mortality, civil liberties (ex: freedom of speech), number of people in poverty.
    Here is are some facts and comparison between Pakistan—a country that has cash the blood of Afghans for past 40 years and Afghanistan—a country was totally ruined—including but not limited to 2 million death, 1.5 million war handicaps, 1 million widows, 6 million refugees and tens of millions of lands mines.

    Almost identical...except the Intentional Homicide rate per 100,000 people Pakistan is 7.8 while Afghanistan is 6.6---homicide rate also takes in account the ISI brainwashed Madrassa kids into suicide bombers that are being sent to Afghanistan for past 15 years.

      Are you braindead comparing Pakistan and Afghanistan ? Pakistan is atleast 100 years ahead in everything . You are free to tag me when you have cities like Karachi , Lahore , Islamabad or industrial centres like Faisalabad and Sialkot .

      OK leave GDP lets see on per capita terms .

      Pakistan GDP per capita = $5100
      Afghanistan = $1600

      Nominal GDP per capita (IMF 2016)

      Pakistan = $1600
      Afghanistan = $527

      Publications - Credit Suisse

      Mean wealth per adult

      Pakistan = $4450
      India = $ 4300
      Bangladesh = $ 220
      Afghanistan = NA (Am guessing 5 times less than Pakistan)

      So an Average Pakistani is probably 3-5 times more richer than an Average Afghan .

      Now lets come to the basics

      Science

      Most scientific citations per country

      SJR - International Science Ranking

      Pakistan ranked 43 10000 citable documents
      Afghanistan ranked 162 63 citable documents

      Absolutely no Comparison Afghanistan is basically in stoneage

      Education

      Six Pakistani institutes among world's top 8 universities - The Express Tribune

      6 Pakistani Universities in QS top 800 world ranking

      I am not even sure if Afghanistan has a decent university . Again no comparison

      Quality of Life

      Pakistan ranked 92 in Happiness index while Afghanistan is 158

      Sanitation

      Improved sanitation facilities (% of population with access) | Data

      Pakistan 64 % of population
      Afghanistan 32 %

      Internet users per 100 people

      Pakistan 18
      Afghanistan 8

      Corruption

      Find out more about corruption in Afghanistan: Latest news, Corruption Perceptions Index score & local chapter’s contact information.

      Pakistan 117/168
      Afghanistan 166/168 ( probably the most corrupt country in the world )

      Military and geopolitically Pakistan is a regional power and Afghanistan is irrelevant . If you want more index rankings I can give you those . As you can see there is absolutely no Comparison . Pakistan is better off comparing with Indonesia , Vietnam or India rather than an LDC like Afghanistan .

        Corruption Index of Pakistan has improved tremendously over the past 5 years . It was ranked in 130's before it is ranked 117 now . Compared to Afghanistan which is the most corrupt country in the world (No comparison really )

        Exports have been declining because the global economy is in decline . It will rise again soon .

        Pakistanis continue to be happier than Indians: UN report - Pakistan - DAWN.COM

        ROME: Pakistanis are happier than Indians once again, according to findings of a United Nations-sanctioned report released on Wednesday.

        Out of a total 157 countries that were evaluated, Pakistan came in at 92, while India was placed at 118. Both countries have slipped as last year's rankings had Pakistan at 81 and India at 117.

        Aiming to "survey the scientific underpinnings of measuring and understanding subjective well-being," the report, now in its fourth edition, ranks countries by happiness levels using factors such as:

        Read: I can see Pakistan rise once more.

        GDP per capita, healthy years of life expectancy, social support (as measured by having someone to count on in times of trouble), trust (as measured by a perceived absence of corruption in government and business), perceived freedom to make life decisions, and generosity (as measured by recent donations).

        Differences in social support, incomes and healthy life expectancy are the three most important factors.

        Pakistan at 92 and Afghanistan 158 ( second last only to syria)

          Like I said you are an afghan you shouldn't be talking about complicated stuff like economy . Your total economy is a paltry $ 8 billion ( 18 billion in total but 50 % of it is from chars and drugs ) . $ 8 billion seriously ? That might be the output of 2-3 factories in Sialkot .

                  You dodged all of my questions . Where does Afghanistan stand in Science and Education? How many world class universities it has? How many scientific research is done ? What percent of population has electricity , clean water or internet ? There is no comparison .

                  Data is collected from people in over 150 countries. Each variable measured reveals a populated-weighted average score on a scale running from 0 to 10 that is tracked over time and compared against other countries. These variables currently include: real GDP per capita, social support, healthy life expectancy, freedom to make life choices, generosity, and perceptions of corruption. Each country is also compared against a hypothetical nation called Dystopia.

                  Pakistan is ranked 92 while Afghanistan is 154

                  Life expectancy in Afghanistan is 50-55 while it is 68 here .

                  List of least developed countries by united nations . Afghanistan ofcourse is mentioned and Pakistan is not there .

                  What is the household income of Afghanistan? How big is its middle class? Its probably one of the poorest countries in the world whom are you kidding comparing it with Pakistan . We have the 18th biggest middle class in the world .

                  Your total economic output is not bigger than Peshawar .

                  Countries by Economic freedom Pakistan is 122/178 and Afghanistan wasn't even ranked and put alongside countries like Somalia .

                  I can go on and on here about any index you like . Afghanistan in last 5 of any index there is .

                    The most extreme form of this is in Balochistan, with the Sardars and Mirs and KPK isn't exempt from this as there are many such political/landowning families like Sherpaos, Saifullahs, Hotis etc. so singling out Punjabis and Sindhis for this doesn't make sense.

                      Pakistan 92 , India 118 and Your dear Afghanistan is 158 (second lowest only surpassed by Syria)
                      Pakistanis are among the most depressed people I have seen in the world, Indians are actually much happier despite being poor. the reason for pakistani depression is extremism in society, which has grown like a cancer in pretty much all parts of the society. Back in the 60, 70's when my parents grew up, it was much better, because the society was much more free then.

                          The Sherpao, Saifullahs and other families rose to prominance because of their sub serviance to British Raj. Among pashtuns there is no concept of Sardars, waderas etc. Of course there are rich and poor in Pashtun society just like every where else but even a rich person has to sit on the ground when attending a Jirga next to a poor Pashtun and they are all subjected to the same pashtunwali law. You can google egalitarianism among pashtuns and the articles will explain what I mean. Things are changing though with urbanization, break down of tribal structures being replaced by the state or religious mullahs etc.

                            I know Pashtun culture is egalitarian, but it's not as if they are totally exempt from this, whether due to the British or not. And most of this is reserved to Balochistan with the Tumandari system, which is an extreme version of this and Sindh with waderos. Central Punjab does not have much of these, as individual landholdings aren't that large.

                              I have to agree with you on this. The extreme oppressive kind of "wadera" with very large holdings found in Sindh and South Punjab, is largely product of Baloch rule......the Chauhdries or equivalents , is product of early Turkish rule of Sultanate period......in Tughlaq period sources, word "Chauhdri" is mentioned , and they were the local headmen who were administering the villages for the sultanate....they were placed under "amiran-i-sada". I read a book about Tughlaqs and this entire administration setup was discussed in detail with all the names of the contemporary sources given, and i recall one source was famous Ibn-i-batuta who mentions 'Chauhdries".

                              The Saifullahs owe their rise to British. They were nobodies before 1900.The Nawabs of Tank, were tribal chieftains but became "Nawabs" due to their allegiance to British. Many of these "Khans" were 'Khan Bahadur' of British.....they are not be confused with the Maliks of Pashtuns.......Once upon time these headmen of the clans used to sit in circle with villagers. But under British and Pakistan, they became some thing else. Saifullahs are not be seen in public.Yet when election comes, they have to visit each and every village and beg for votes or bribe people (votes are sold in Lakki Marwat).....so even though there are very wealthy and powerful people like Saifullahs in Lakki Marwat, people are not their subjugates like they are to waderas to Sindh and Balochistan.

                                This 'oppressive Malik/Chaudhry' of Punjab is more of a cultural meme based on dramas/fiction rather than reality as most landholdings in Punjab are not that big so as to facilitate that.
                                Even in Sindh and South Punjab 'saeein/sardar' culture is now practiced by many Sindhi tribes like Soomros and in South Punjab by Khars who are Jatts but this is mostly Baloch in origin.

                                The Baloch system of Sardars or Tumandari system is one of the most hierarchial ones in modern times with individual Baloch chiefs holdings hundrerds of thousands of acres of land. It is a tradition among them to touch the feet of the chief of tribe as a greeting or place their turban on the Sardar's feet.

                                Here you can see 'Wasu Khan' who was famous Baloch singer singing for his tribe chief and touching his feet
