I find this enmity like a fools errand. Pashtuns throwing stones at each other, not realizing they're both living in a glass house. At it very best, it is nothing but a foolish act. I recommend Pashtuns from both sides to stop this foolishness and to stop acting as if it is a god given mission for them to insult each other.
Let me start off with this: Afghans, stop interfering with Pakistani Pashtuns business. I said it before and I will say it again, it is none of your business whether Pakistani Pashtuns are second class citizens or first class. If you don't see Pakistani Pashtuns themselves complain, then I see absolutely no reason for you to complain about something you are not related with.
That being said, now lets take another bull by its horns. A better relation between Pakistan and Afghanistan will improve the Pashtun situation. The only ethnicity who will benefit from the improved relation is literally Pashtuns from both sides. Whether it is culturally, linguistically, economically all the benefit will be with the Pashtuns. A hostile situation between these two nations will only harm Pashtuns. This is the ground reality. We are neighbors and we share a long border with each other, and Pashtuns are side by side with each other. So whether it is economically separation, terrorism, state warfare/tension, culturally/politically separation it will all harm Pashtuns. Whether TTP bombs or Afghan Taliban, it will always be the Pashtuns who get harmed. The enmity between Pakistan and Afghanistan does not harm Farsiwans or Punjabis, it harms just Pashtuns.
Another clarification for Afghan Pashtuns; this is what your fellow country men feel about you:
This is from a Tajik who says he is not racist and hate nationalism. Imagine what a Tajik who is nationalist feels. Farsiwans will hate us no matter what. They will by no mean want to coexist with Pashtuns. Farsiwans have imposed their language on us, they dominate the politics, they make racist remarks and insults toward pashtuns, and Pashtuns says nothing for the sake of uniting our country; yet, even then they're not satisfied with us and still to this day insult us.
So what I am trying to say is, isn't time for Pashtuns to turn they head away from external/Pakistani politics and turn their head toward internal politic.
Btw. Pakistani Pashtuns, the same thing is happening in Pakistan, but it is not for me to expose.
