Going over few of the responses here I am dissapointed that some of you who I consider to be thoughtful people are using this article for political point scoring.

Regardless of the political & security situation in Afghanistan or whomever you support in this civil war, this is absolute depravity and we have all failed as human beings if we cant look beyond our political/ideological leanings to at least condemn this atrocity

You guys are living in countries where you can bring this issue to light, propagate it on social media in a way to help those kids, whats the point in bickering amongst yourselves ?

i am a mean person and at times, i can be rude too but i make sure of it that it's not out of habit.. that i have a good reason for being rude when i am rude and mean when i am mean. i do that for my own sake.

the majority of people who are in charge of the government in afghanistan are the very same opportunists who have served under the mujahideen as well as the taliban. when the new government was formed, they were not given their positions depending on the crystal cleanness of their characters. they were giving these positions for claiming to be in opposition with the taliban.

no matter where in the world you are, some level of corruption and exploitation will always be present. taliban may have not raped any boys but they did allow for circumstances to get so bad that people sold their own kids in to sex trade. people's daughters and widows were forced in to marriages with strangers and without their consent. the raped girl was forced to marry her rapist?? astaghfirullah, what are these americans are up too.. enforcing sharia law on poor old innocent afghans.. i mean, here i was, thinking, forcing people to marry their rapists was part of sharia law...so if a licehead makes that decision, it's legitimate but if an american makes the same decision for a victim, he is empowering rapists in to molesting kids..
