I don't know, but Asvaka appears to be a generic term, which would mean it could not necessarily be that those "Asvakas" were Afghan or Pashtuns as we know them in the modern sense.Originally posted by AfghanfootballIs there any mention of another Asvakan state?
I do however believe Pashtuns evolved out of earlier peoples though. But this would mean Pashtuns became a distinct identifiable ethnic group much much later.

Exactly, remember like 10+ posts ago I mentioned the glaring contradiction between "Avagan" and "Ashvaka", the word Afghan, Abgan etc have no relation to "Ashvaka" in meaning or word origin. How can Afghan come from a word that means "horse breeder" or "horse rider" and the be Abgan which looks like something completely different.Originally posted by AfghanfootballHow do you explain the mention of Goundifer Abgan Rismaund by the Sassanid king Shapur and the Avagan of the 6th century?
I actually found the word Abgan in the Pahlavi Dictionary, Pahlavi is the dialect of Persian spoken by the Sassanids.
This is what Avagana means in Sanskritabgandan, ab~an- [LJ\!IYTWN-tn' < A y rm'; 'pkn- I M 'bgnd, 'bgn-,
N afgan-dan] throw.
This doesn't look like they have any relation or even word root.अवगण avagaNa adj. separated from one's companions
अवगण avagaNa adj. isolated
as far as modern Iranian lexicon suggest Afghan seems to be from Feghan which is round aboutly meaning "causing grief" . There's too many contradictory suggestions about the word relation ....
remember what I said earlier about False Friends (the linguistic term). This is probably the case here. Abgan, Avagana, probably have nothing to do with each other.

Grana wroor. Please don't waste your time on this munafiq arab. It doesn't matter how much evidence you give him. He still doesn't understand the closest and a very old dialect of Pashtu is used in Avesta and RIGVEDA books. Our proud, noble and honourable ancestors who conquered panjabis ghulamis and put them into the cast system the only place they belong.Originally posted by AfghanfootballHow do you explain the mention of Goundifer Abgan Rismaund by the Sassanid king Shapur and the Avagan of the 6th century?
He doesn't understand when his arabic lizard eating baboon ancestors lived in desert and worshipped STONES, MOON and other shiiit. Pashtuns and many other Iranian races was monoliths. And by my standards the true Islam was born in our ancient lands. Pashtuns was monoliths 2317 years before the time of Muhammed (PBUH). Meaning it took arabs 2317 years to become civilized and belive in one god. if some here have read the holy books, you will remember some quotes of the Prophets. Some of them curse their own race Jew and Arab for being savages and barbarics. No wonder why the most barbaric, savage people on earth was sent Prophets to become somehow civilized.

Still this retarded harami doesn't understand that I have him on ignore and quotes me, so I get notifications. You see he is just like a brainwashed propaganda spitting lies, because for these savages, there is no history/life before 622, aka arab Islam. To Paradise, with Pakhto, I will go.

Nothing proclaims defeat more that has such a deep seated feeling of inferiority that the only way they can feel better or inflate themselves is to fabricate history. And yet they have the nerve to accuse others of lying despite everything they say conflicting with established evidence. That's the epitome of pathetic
Avestan and Sanskrit are two completely distinct languages, they're even two distinct branches and they lead to different language families entirely. To believe such a fallacy that they're ancient forms of Pashto is a clear sign of desperation. It's either Pashto or it isn't, simple as that.Last edited by Brown Skinned Savage; 07-09-2015, 04:04 PM.

From the CIA, Saudi establishment, and all the oil fields they captured in Iraq and Syria. Are you kidding me?Originally posted by Manzareh View Post"Unlike the Taliban, they (IS) don't force villagers to feed and house them. Where are they getting all this cash from.
