How Islamic Extremists Quote the Quran

Lets forget this for now (topic for another time), and return back to "How Islamic extremists quote the Qu'ran."Originally posted by khushal View PostSo, where in the Quran does it describe Allah as "a source of light?" I mean you still have not answered the question. The Sun is also a source of light but it does not make it Allah.
There is violent commanding verses. And there is peaceful commanding verses.
Theres sects which the majority of the Muslims throughout the world follow: the nice and peaceful ones: Pray, fast, zakat etc . . .
Then there is the "extremists" sects who follow the fighting parts and ignore the peaceful ones which are meant to embody you to be a good human.
A good majority of both are not following the orders of Allah. He does say fight those who have driven you away. But he also mentioned do not trangress as he loves not the transgressors (There goes ISIS's theology).
Now we are left with the peaceful Muslims who make up the majority. How are they disobeying God. It is their job (mines included) to help the brothers and sisters, anyway possible, who are being oppressed in their homes. That is why fighting has been ordained to us, it is also a blessing as 4:95 says
Yusuf Ali: Not equal are those believers who sit and receive no hurt, and those who strive and fight in the cause of God with their goods and their persons. God hath granted a grade higher to those who strive and fight with their goods and persons than to those who sit. Unto all Hath God promised good: But those who strive and fight Hath He distinguished above those who sit by a special reward.
The reason they are not equal, those who sit and those who strive, is because the striven not only follows his other commands, but will get out of his comfort zone to help his brothers out. And thus, following Allah to his full capacity. That completes the circle of being a dutiful servant of Allah.

47:4
Yusuf Ali: Therefore, when ye meet the Unbelievers (in fight), smite at their necks; At length, when ye have thoroughly subdued them, bind a bond firmly (on them): thereafter (is the time for) either generosity or ransom: Until the war lays down its burdens. Thus (are ye commanded): but if it had been Allah's Will, He could certainly have exacted retribution from them (Himself); but (He lets you fight) in order to test you, some with others. But those who are slain in the Way of Allah,- He will never let their deeds be lost.
Lets destroy ISIS's ideology again. They do love quoting this verse, but only the first sentence. They do not smitten the heads of their enemies in battle, it is after when they are held prisoners. Recently, there was a video of a group of ISIS fighter pushing and beating a captured Nusra fighter. they kneel him down. The Nusra fighter pleads "You could beat me all you want, but please before you kill me can i pray 2 rakaats?' the ISIS fighters say no you are a kafir (smh). one fighter suggests getting the dullest knife they have. And he is beheaded.
This verse was clearly ignored. They had neither show any ounce of generosity or made a ransom. they took it upon themselves to behead him. Not to mention hundreds, thousands of other prisoners that were falsely accused (Journalists, aid workers, ordinary citizens)
adding on
Prophet Muhammad (Salalaho alehe wasalam) said : Any person who calls his brother: O Unbeliever! (then the truth of this label) would return to one of them. If it is true, (then it is) as he asserted, (but if it is not true), then it returns to him (and thus the person who made the accusation is an Unbeliever). [Sahih Muslim Book 001, Number 0117:]
Clearly many times just like this one ISIS would behead their captors while they are reaffirming the shahada, or demanding a last prayer.
Extremists misquote the Qu'ran by not finishing a verse before committing an action.
When "moderate" Muslims calls his brother an "extremists" when he isn't, this is the same as calling him a Kafir. Allah and the Prophet (PBUH) both mentioned that extremism is not what Islam is. Watch your tongue as well, moderates.Last edited by کیش; 04-13-2015, 04:04 PM.

Says the militant secularist minority derived atheist who contrives pseudo history (e.g. your theory on the Arab super state) in order to justify his debunked world view... Your comments are like an instrumental zeroing that continuously provides a reference point for just how consistently wrong your prognostications have been and how constistently right mine have been lol.Originally posted by Toramana View PostBarakZai himself is a militant type extremist. Quran itself clearly states that some quran verses are literal and some are metaphorical. you wahabhis think everything is literal and you have no brains to even think critically about the metaphorical meanings. This is why you think God has hands, eyes, feet and what not
Quran (3:7) "it is He who has sent down to you, [O Muhammad], the Book; in it are verses [that are] precise - they are the foundation of the Book - and others unspecific. As for those in whose hearts is deviation [from truth], they will follow that of it which is unspecific, seeking discord and seeking an interpretation [suitable to them]. And no one knows its [true] interpretation except Allah . But those firm in knowledge say, "We believe in it. All [of it] is from our Lord." And no one will be reminded except those of understanding"
Of knowledge We have given you but a little,” says the Holy Book (17:85), and every verse has many levels of meaning and “none understands except those who possess the inner heart” ( 3:7). Paradoxes exist, says the Quran, because, “Of everything We have created opposites so that you might know that only God is One” (51:49). When all else fails, the Quran also offers two ardent prayers: “O my Sustainer! Open for me my heart! (20:25), and “O my Sustainer, increase me in knowledge!” (20:114).

In reality I believe Quran is a peaceful book with a peaceful message. The inner core of Islam is about peace and justice on earth. But unfortunately since illetrate extremists have become the caretakers of Islam. Islam's image will always be negative

I never supported ISIS. i discuss the possible military tactics they use and/or should use if they wanted to be successful.Originally posted by Karachi View PostFirstly you haven't quoted that verse and second I wasn't replying to that post of yours, I was just replying to your wahabhi idiocy of believing everything is literal in the quran

theres a big difference. Supporting ISIS is giving Bayah to Baghdadi which i will never do.
they had potential to help the Iraq/Syrian Arabs, but did not even care once they were in position.Last edited by کیش; 04-15-2015, 12:49 AM.
