Because they're actually concerned with third world independence and the people deciding for themselves how they'd like to organize politically and socially. Islamic extremism doesn't bother them as long as it's a subservient form of extremism, hence the cozy relationship with Saudi Arabia and Pakistan when it was ruled by Zia.

The majority of these folks are on the same page in their interpretation. Taking that further, the concept of "Just War" by Saint Augustine or "defensive warfare" theory amongst the Muslims appears to be the most acceptable across the board world round to all populations. Instead, it is what people interpret as the methodology of execution and justification that varies, and this is often due to differences in what people interpret as "the greater good" and not so much differences in Quranic exegesis.

Additionally, the Quran makes no qualms whatsoever about the ability of man to take a concept or an idea of any bent and to twist it to his desires:

The ninth chapter goes into greater detail elucidating the difference between hypocritical interpretations and honest interpretations.

This ability of man to impose his views or read his own personal intentions is inherent to many great documents. For instance, John Yoo's view on the constitution held sway in the Bush administration and run counter to mainstream interpretations:

      http://news.firedoglake.com/2014/07/...school-of-law/

or his infamous reinterpretation of the 4th amendment.

Rather, the Quran makes it clear that a certain cadre of men will impose their own trains of thought for their own gain onto "The Book" and that these men will suffer spiritual, if not worldly punishment.

Ive noted that it seems to trouble you when your Persiofascist narrative is threatened by an evidence based assessment of the problem at hand. After all, if this study is on to something then your general view that these nihilistic cavemen Arabofascist populations polluting the world with their ideology carries less sway.

Perhaps it hits close to home since your proposed solutions and methodologies worsen the problem as opposed to solving it?
So the majority of Muslims believe they are under attack by outside forces? I guess you can always twist reality to suit your own agenda. Explains why there are so many idiots in the ME who believe in conspiracy theories. But a religion should not foster this kind of thinking. It should unite mankind not further drive wedges.

        Sure because

        1) Overturning democratically elected governments and arming thugs (Mubarak and now Sisi)
        2) Arming Hussein in the 1980s
        3) Destroying Iran in the 1950s with Mossadeghs ouster and installing the Shah and training Savak
        4) Glaspie giving the greenlight to Hussein to bumble into Kuwait
        5) Kissinger threatening Faisal with invasion in the 1970s
        6) unending and assymetric support for Israel in nearly all conflicts
        7) Supporting Musharraf and other thug military dictators in South Asia
        8) Continued support for various istan central Asian dictatorships that jail dissidents who aren't even Islamists
        9) Backing African strongmen who kill moderates and then graduate extremists (e,g. Somalia, Libya, etc)

are just all imagined grievances. Where were you schooled again? I suggest you ask for a full refund because they did bad job.

I assume that this map of US and Western military bases in the middle east and Asia is merely conjured then by these people that they believe their resources and way of life are under attack by outside forces?

The Muslim brotherhood was ousted by Egyptians themselves, when 14 million came out to protest.

And some of the meddling was in the context of suppressing communism in the Middle East. You should thank Paki dictators or Afghanistan would speak Russian today. So you benefit from some intervention, and not others. This is pure hypocrisy.

Instead of thinking critically about why human beings respond to violence with violence, you are assuming that singling out an ideology and pursuing it to the world's end will end all the insurrections and violence in the Muslim world.

This is hardly the case. This would not explain the Ayatollah's violence. This would not explain Moqtada Al Sadr's violence... nor would it explain the fact that even amongst the far right conservative spectrum of Islamists there are shades of gray. For instance, Takfirists (ISIS) differ in many important respects from Salafists who also differ from the brotherhood.

ISIS, Alqaeda, Boko Haram, Al Shabab etc.. and many others are Salafi/Wahabhi, aren't they??? the fact of the matter is that Saudis and Gulf Arabs have made these monsters over the years, of course now these groups maybe functioning independently, however they are a legacy of extremist salafi brain washing, heck even some westerner extremist muslims who support these groups usually turn out to be Salafi/wahabhis. Also we all know what Saudis have done in countries like Pakistan/Afghanistan, they have made mess out of Islam there. We all know what Saudis/wahabhis want, they want their rule all over the Sunni muslim world. When I was attending one Islamic school here in Canada some 10 years ago, I clearly saw how they use to label every other sunni group as wrong, only themselves as right, they are very open about it. The hate they have for others is very open

Bro, You seem to want to gloss over the cause effect paradigm. I cant recall how many countless times you and I do this dance.

Lets take once example of your quoted list. Why is it that you ask questions but refuse to at least look at what other posters have written? Take for instance ISIS... so let us ride forward with your view that ISIS is Saudi or Wahhabi funded.

So what? You put blinders on purposefully so as to ignore all of the CLEAR evidences above for the rise of ISIS that I provided in painstaking detail.

              1) Is that Dhulaim tribal Sheikh a "wahhabi?" that threw his lot in with them? Sheikh Hatem is who I am referring to. The answer is NO. He says clearly that abuses by the central government are what has led him to side his super confederacy tribe (the Dhulaim) with ISIS.
              2) Was ISIS in existence pre 2003?
              3) Would ISIS have had the Oxygen to breath or even rise from the ashes of AQ in Iraq (which was all but beaten into a blood pulp by the Awakening tribes) if the Sunnis had not felt put upon?

You purposefully ignore facts and just jump to conclusions that, if enacted would offer no resolution of conflict.

Let us carry your solution forward. So assume one snaps their fingers and Saudi ceases to exist... does that solve the problems of

              1) Maliki government treatment of Sunnis in Anbar and the areas that sided with ISIS?
              2) The Militia treatment of sunnis which was documented by HRW as abusive?

Or take your other very very uninformed comment on Shabab. Who is Shabab? Where did they arise from? Did you consider the fact that the Islamic Court Union in Somalia had, pre 2002 wrote a lengthy letter of peace to the Americans declaring that the temporary government in Somalia was no threat to the West?

What did the West do? Under W Bush they ignored the plea and INVADED, via proxy, Somalia, spawning pan generational violence and the rise of Shabab by disenfranchized Somalians who had to bear Ethiopian Christian transgression on their soil:

It seems like your purpose is not to "understand" or "stop the violence" but rather just bend to the popular media refrain and narrative that the big bad wahhabi monster is hiding under every bed and responsible for all ills and evils in the world. You seem to do this to escape personal responsibility for understanding the plight and suffering of people and toward understanding why these groups arise in the first place.

its your job to read about these matters and understand what sort of injustice drives Iraqi Baathist (secularists) into the hands of ISIS... and I can tell you that the preponderance of evidence is clear that is not King Salman or King Abdullah. They and their people may dole out some money.. but the conditions and injustices that are the oxygen for these movements are imposed by the West. There is inordinate, incontrovertible, and unassailable proof for this.

No, the only pure thing here is your utter stupidity.

Similar to Operation Ajax in the 1950s, the US was already on the ground doing its best to subvert the post Mubarak era revolution that saw Morsi win 3 consecutive elections.

Documents reveal US money trail to Egyptian groups that pressed for president's removal.

But a review of dozens of US federal government documents shows Washington has quietly funded senior Egyptian opposition figures who called for toppling of the country's now-deposed president Mohamed Morsi.

Documents obtained by the Investigative Reporting Program at UC Berkeley show the US channeled funding through a State Department programme to promote democracy in the Middle East region. This programme vigorously supported activists and politicians who have fomented unrest in Egypt, after autocratic president Hosni Mubarak was ousted in a popular uprising in February 2011.

The State Department's programme, dubbed by US officials as a "democracy assistance" initiative, is part of a wider Obama administration effort to try to stop the retreat of pro-Washington secularists, and to win back influence in Arab Spring countries that saw the rise of Islamists, who largely oppose US interests in the Middle East.
Here is the original research from Berkley on the matter:
President Barack Obama recently stated the United States was not taking sides as Egypt’s crisis came to a head with the military overthrow of the democratically elected president. But a review of dozens of US federal government documents shows Washington has quietly funded senior Egyptian opposition figures who called for toppling of the country’s now-deposed …

Regarding the idiotic claim of 14 million people that circle jerk fascists like you seem to like to quote in their efforts to quash any and all things Muslim:

                Here is a nice rejoinder:

Despite the well-known difficulties of estimating large crowds, it is clear that the numbers game was played by the opposition and the military to orchestrate and justify the coup d’etat against President Mohamed Morsi. For whatever reason, several external parties also used the numbers claimed to validate their support for the military intervention.

The Army presented a video to the media taken by military helicopter of demonstrations in Cairo to justify their coup; emphasising that the entire population had risen up against President Morsi and as such, it had no choice but to align itself with the people. No one questioned the fact that some of the video footage presented as evidence against Morsi was actually the filming of a pro-Morsi demonstration.
The circle jerk brigade, of which you are a member, went on to try and fabricate google earth claims:

To give their statistics an air of respectability and credence, the anti-Morsi alliance claimed that their crowd statistics were obtained from coverage and analyses conducted by Google Earth. Though never confirmed by the satellite giant, the estimates given ranged from 14.3 million to 33 million demonstrators. A search of the net revealed no official statement by Google Earth to confirm these claims. Meanwhile, MEMO requested a comment from Google but has not received a reply.
Lets see what an academic approach adds to the evidence... hint hint hint: It shows that you are as dumb as you sound and write:

Tamarod, western researchers had previously used Google Earth Ruler to measure the capacity of Tahrir Square and the accessible spaces surrounding it. Having used this method himself, Dr Clark McPhail an emeritus professor of Sociology at the University of Illinois, and an expert in the science of crowd-sizing, ruled out the possibility of fitting one million people into the square.

While Cairo is by no means representative of Egypt it has, like most capitals, been the centre of major national protests. The area of Tahrir Square is 53,000 square metres. While the area from its peripheries to the other side of the Nile across the Nile Palace Bridge is 13,000 sq m. The area from Tahrir Square to the 6 October Bridge is 20,000 sq m. Accordingly, the total area that contained the demonstrators was 86,000 square metres.

Assuming that the highest number of people which can be squeezed into one square meter is four, it means that the maximum capacity of Tahrir Square and its environs on 30 June was 344,000 demonstrators.

As for the area of the Presidential Palace and its environs, the video shown by the opposition revealed that the length of the demonstration was 1,400 metres (just under a kilometre and a half); it had a width of 45 metres, giving a total area of 63,000 sq m.

Added to this, there was another demonstration north of the palace in an area of 9,000 sq m. Altogether, therefore, the total area accessible to the demonstrators in the vicinity of the Presidential Palace was 72,000 square metres.

Accordingly, the total number of demonstrators around the Presidential Palace, using the base figure of four people per square metre, would be 288,000. The grand total from Tahrir Square and the Presidential Palace area would therefore be about 632,000 protesters on the day. These calculations are consistent with findings of various researchers and bloggers.
Ooooops, there goes your whole argument. Thankfully Greenwald and Co continue to expose the progression to subverting US law and open arming that the Pentagon has been committed to since Sisi and they planned the coup:

                --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now, regarding that other idiotic claim that the interventions like Operation Ajax were in the context of "combating communism and Russians." BS. Mossadegh's own final pleas were to EISENHOWER for aid as the British and Americans were trying to link him to Communist interests. Mansour Farhang has written at length on this BBC led fabrication:

This behavior was not unique to that region. The same was done to Guatemalas deposed Jacabo Arbenz who preferred to tilt toward America. The issue with both was that they nationalized resources of the nation. In Mossadegh's case it was for taking oil away from BP and Arbenz stood up to United Fruit.

Can I have the information for your teachers Kindergarten through high school so I can ask them to please pay a debt to society for graduating such a buffoon?

If Egyptians don't like el Sisi then they can come out in the same numbers when they overthrew Mubarak. Something tells me they're fine with the way things are, because the alternative is a Muslim Brotherhood fascist state. The pro MB people are a minority in Egypt and should learn their place.

There are many many many sources that show ISIS are Salafis,

The rise of Isis is rooted in a mix of politics, a Sunni sense of isolation and a shakeup in Salafist doctrine. Here, an analyst whose Syrian home has seen some of its bloodiest excesses, explains its dramatic surge

^ it just keeps going and going, there are many more. The fact of the matter is Salafi/wahabhis are responsible for this menace. Of course they may use the Syria conflict to promote and recruit people from Iraq and Syria, but we all know this is a game for global salafi/wahabhi domination.

As for all Al shabaab, they are clearly salafi through hundreds of sources online, they have even killed many sufis: http://www.alcarab.com/rayi/?id=19

Again you can ignore or even cover up for them, but the truth is very clear. That Salafi/Wahabhis are probably the biggest threat to Islam in it's history and unfortunately they are succeeding in destroying the vary foundation of Islam.

Will you apply these verses of Quran without context as unchnageable word of God for all times as claimed by IS and others .

Quran (2:191-193) "And kill them wherever you find them, and turn them out from where they have turned you out. And Al-Fitnah [disbelief or unrest] is worse than killing...
but if they desist, then lo! Allah is forgiving and merciful. And fight them until there is no more Fitnah [disbelief and worshipping of others along with Allah] and worship is for Allah alone. But if they cease, let there be no transgression except against Az-Zalimun (the polytheists, and wrong-doers, etc.)"

Quran (4:89) - "They but wish that ye should reject Faith, as they do, and thus be on the same footing (as they): But take not friends from their ranks until they flee in the way of Allah (From what is forbidden). But if they turn renegades, seize them and slay them wherever ye find them; and (in any case) take no friends or helpers from their ranks."

Quran (5:33) - "The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His messenger and strive to make mischief in the land is only this, that they should be murdered or crucified or their hands and their feet should be cut off on opposite sides or they should be imprisoned; this shall be as a disgrace for them in this world, and in the hereafter they shall have a grievous chastisement"

Quran (8:67) - "It is not for a Prophet that he should have prisoners of war until he had made a great slaughter in the land..."

Quran (9:5) - "So when the sacred months have passed away, then slay the idolaters wherever you find them, and take them captive and besiege them and lie in wait for them in every ambush, then if they repent and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate, leave their way free to them."

                      From the Hadith:

Bukhari (52:177) - Allah's Apostle said, "The Hour will not be established until you fight with the Jews, and the stone behind which a Jew will be hiding will say. "O Muslim! There is a Jew hiding behind me, so kill him."

Bukhari (52:256) - The Prophet... was asked whether it was permissible to attack the pagan warriors at night with the probability of exposing their women and children to danger. The Prophet replied, "They (i.e. women and children) are from them (i.e. pagans)." In this command, Muhammad establishes that it is permissible to kill non-combatants in the process of killing a perceived enemy. This provides justification for the many Islamic terror bombings.

Bukhari (52:65) - The Prophet said, 'He who fights that Allah's Word, Islam, should be superior, fights in Allah's Cause. Muhammad's words are the basis for offensive Jihad - spreading Islam by force. This is how it was understood by his companions, and by the terrorists of today.

Bukhari (52:220) - Allah's Apostle said... 'I have been made victorious with terror'

Most of the military commanders of ISIS are baathists from Saddam's military.
FRONTLINE correspondent Martin Smith reports from Iraq on the miscalculations and mistakes behind the brutal rise of ISIS.

Al shabbab is a reaction to foreign troops and warlordism:
Since early 2007 a new breed of combatants has appeared on the streets of Mogadishu and other towns in Somalia: the 'Shabaab', or youth, the only self-proclaimed branch of al-Qaeda to have gained acceptance (and praise) from Ayman al-Zawahiri and 'AQ centre' in Afghanistan. Itself an offshoot of the Islamic Courts Union, which split in 2006, Shabaab has imposed Sharia law and is also heavily influenced by local clan structures within Somalia itself. It remains an infamous and widely discussed, yet little-researched and understood, Islamist group. Hansen's remarkable book attempts to go beyond the media headlines and simplistic analyses based on alarmist or localist narratives and, by employing intensive field research conducted within Somalia, as well as on the ground interviews with Shabaab leaders themselves, explores the history of a remarkable organisation, one that has survived predictions of its collapse on several occasions. Hansen portrays al-Shabaab as a hybrid Islamist organization that combines a strong streak of Somali nationalism with the rhetorical obligations of international jihadism, thereby attracting a not insignificant number of foreign fighters to its ranks. Both these strands of Shabaab have been inadvertently boosted by Ethiopian, American and African Union attempts to defeat it militarily, all of which have come to nought.

The only covering going on is you covering up the instigation and genesis and REASON these groups exist. You prefer to bow and kow tow to the West because they embarass and pressurize you and you decide you cannot afford to think critically.

Lets let it boil down to two simple points for you to answer

                          1) How did ISIS come into existance and why has it thrived in sunni Anbar? Who are ISIS and who fights under their umbrella?

                          2) Who is Shabab and when did they begin their rise? What are their grievances?

Lets just start there. Answer those questions to initiate a discussion.

Will you apply dual paternity genetics within context to explain how Safi father and Shinwari father can create one genetic offspring with that offspring claiming one day to be Shinwari and next day to be Safi? It is miraculous is my explanation! First baby born of father mating with father.

Your guilty of "quote mining." Quote mining (also contextomy) is the fallacious tactic of taking quotes out of context in order to make them seemingly agree with the quote miner's viewpoint or to make the comments of an opponent seem more extreme or hold positions they don't in order to make their positions easier to refute or demonize.[1] It's a way of lying.

You have to put the full verse in which is :

“Fight in the cause of Allah those who fight you, but do not transgress limits; for Allah loves not transgressors. And kill them wherever ye catch them, and turn them out from where they have turned you out; for tumult and oppression are worse than slaughter; but fight them not at the Sacred Mosque, unless they (first) fight you there; but if they fight you, kill them. Such is the reward of those who reject faith. But if they cease, Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. And fight them on until there is no more tumult or oppression, and there prevail justice and faith in Allah; but if they cease, let there be no hostility except to those who practice oppression. The prohibited month, for the prohibited month, and so for all things prohibited, there is the law of equality. If then any one transgresses the prohibition against you, transgress ye likewise against him. But fear Allah, and know that Allah is with those who restrain themselves.” (al-Baqarah 2:190-194)

“They but wish that ye should reject Faith, as they do, and thus be on the same footing (as they): so take not friends from their ranks until they flee in the way of Allah (from what is forbidden). But if they turn renegades, seize them and slay them wherever ye find them; and (in any case) take no friends or helpers from their ranks. Except those who join a group between whom and you there is a treaty (Of peace), or those who approach you with hearts restraining them from fighting you as well as fighting their own people. If Allah had pleased, He could have given them power over you, and they would have fought you: therefore if they withdraw from you but fight you not, and (instead) send you (guarantees of) peace, then Allah hath opened no way for you (to war against them). Others you will find that wish to gain your confidence as well as that of their people: every time they are sent back to temptation, they succumb thereto; if they withdraw not from you nor give you (guarantees) of peace besides restraining their hands, seize them and slay them wherever ye get them; in their case We have provided you with a clear argument against them. (Al-Nisa’ 4:89-91)

5:32-34 ...If any one slew a person - unless it be as punishment for murder or for spreading corruption in the land - it would be as if he slew the whole people: and if any one saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of the whole people. Then although there came to them Our apostles with clear signs, yet, even after that, many of them continued to commit excesses in the land. The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger, and strive with might and main for mischief through the land is: execution, or crucifixion, or the cutting off of hands and feet from opposite sides, or exile from the land: that is their disgrace in this world, and a heavy punishment is theirs in the Hereafter; Except for those who repent before they fall into your power: in that case, know that Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.

9:5-6 But when the forbidden months are past, then fight and slay the Pagans wherever ye find them, an seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem (of war); but if they repent, and establish regular prayers and practise regular charity, then open the way for them: for Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful. If one amongst the Pagans ask thee for asylum, grant it to him, so that he may hear the word of Allah. and then escort him to where he can be secure. That is because they are men without knowledge.
These sites are Islamophobic sites meant to spread hatred in the land. Something that your criticizing the hole Quran for.

These verses you speak of are for defense, not offense. One also has to look at when the verses where given in what environment. Remember the Muslims at the time were the oppressed and driven out from Mecca.
