When Abdullah wins

Abdullah is set to win the election in the run off. Once this happens Abdullah will be the first non-Pashtun to be the president of Afghanistan since Babrak Karmal.

How do Pashtuns feel about this? Is this the end of Pashtun political power in Afghanistan?

Abdullah hasn't won yet since the votes are still being tallied up, and he won't be the the first non-pashtun president of Afghanistan since he is only half. Also as far as i know Mr. Abdullah considers himself Pashtun. BTW this election has "Rigged" written all over it.

I don't know why does it matter as long as he's honest with the people of afghanistan.

If he wins,Everyone should respect the mandate of the people of Afghanistan..

Though i believe Dr Ashraf Ghani seem to be more honest.nevertheless abdullah still will be better than karzai

Abdullah is strongly against Pakistan and his pro India. This means only that he will continue what Karzai was doing in terms of Indo-Pak relations but unlike Karzai he won't try to appease the Pashtuns. There will be no more cushy jobs for under-qualified Pashtuns in high Gov posts.

He has been a close associate of Masoud and if his loyalty was with pashtuns he would never been so close to Masoud. :-)
