Unlike 2009 this time only 15% of the people from Pashtun belt could not vote and to be fair many people couldn´t vote as well in northern and western Afghanistan. It was a national problem, not only a Pashtun problem. Around 35% of Dr. Abdullah could not vote, so 20% of Dr. Ghani and around 15% of Dr. Rasul. However, we must also understand other factors like emigrations, unsettled population, millions of people living abroad and so on. However, accoridng to many sources the women participation was mostly high around Kabul and eastern Afghanistan, led by Paktiya.

It was a problem but not that big, I still think that they cheat with the votes, they give Abdullah more than people voted for him.

Me and my friends are really depressed now, I really have lost hope for Afghanistan if Abdullah wins....I guess we have to joing taliban, there is no other option.

where did you get 49.7% counted votes? its only 10% counted. do you want ghani to make a deal? he isn't that stupid. he has won won otherwise the abdullah and karzai wouldn't be pressing on him to make a deal.

As expected,Salim Saifi indeed was right.

The results are from Afghanistan election commission and for half count aka 50%

When Abdullah becomes president, every Pashtun in the government and security forces will join the Taliban.

6 months from now Kabul will be entirely destroyed. The civil war has begun.

What if a run-off occurs and the 6 remaining candidates throw their backing to Ghani?

My assumption then is that the intelligence agencies and others will convince Abdullah to once again back off like they did in 2009.
