all the good suggestions in the world won't matter if the same people who have been involved in afghan politics for the last 30 years are still alive. the communists turned into capitalists, the mujahadin invited kafirs, the taliban made people feel safe but now scare the **** out of them, different song and dance but the same players. this goes for all sides, even our individual favorites. nothing will change until there is a new generation with the karzais, dostums, omars, abdullahs and others being dead and gone.

1- Ariana was the name for the region centuries before the Turkic-Mongol nomadic waves
2- Recent genetic studies show that all Afghan ethnicities share significant ancestry. So even the invaders settled amongst the locals
