Afghans did not rule over Pakistan 600 years because there was no afghanistan before 1893. Some "afghan" ethnic groups ruled over old india, you mean: tajiks (ghorids, , pashtuns (durrani, lodi,..etc) and persianized turkic tribes (ghaznawids, moguls,etc).
