I have been called Sikh and son of ranjeet singh several time (for defending pakistan) by those Afghan/pashtuns on forums who hate Pakistanis particularly punjabis very much. Perhaps it is meant to insult and abuse.

I dont know from which phrase in my response you got that idea. I called the Punjabis on the Pakistani side as hypocrites as they neither own the original teachings of Guro Nank [which teaches the khalsa,kirpan and kangan symbolising the original Punjabi virtues] nor have adopted those of Muhammad [who taught " inal munafiqeen fid darkil asfalay minan naar" (the hypocrites will reside in the lowest ebb of the hell) hence hypocrites. My response has nothing to do with the Sikh community who are the original Punjabis and have atleast retained their virtues.

And I am referring to the hypocisy on state level [as Punjabis are among the power elite in Pakisatan] wherein they talk about Islam within Pakistan to justify their exploitation but do not hesitate to kill their muslim brethren in Afghanistan and Bengal.

he was talking about the pakistani elite which is Punjabi whom have made all pashtuns of Pakistan there slaves.

In Pakistan Pashtuns are the joke of the country via SMS messages there are over thousands of jokes about us and our status in Pakistan is defined as uneducated or Akharoot.

Shlombay brother, I didn't take Muhsina's comment in any which way. Though my curiousity was roused when he used Muslim Punjabi and Sardar interchangeably, but if you see my posts I didnt point any accusatory fingers. I dont judge people or communities by forum posts.

May be I am wrong, but I read/heard somewhere that in NWFP and Afghanistan, Sikhs are seen by the locals more as shrewd traders and businessman since that is their chief occupation in those regions. Muhsina's comments may be in that regard, but I am not offended in any way.

As an Indian, I thought I'd share my perspective on the issue -
I think its a grave misconception that India is trying to use Afghanistan to bring down Pakistan. While I dont mind paying the ISI back for what they have done in India, I dont think India is doing that. What they are doing however is building alliances with the Afghan people and the Afghan govt. The reason I used the two terms sperately is that they are separate. I dont need to list the things that GoI is doing in Afghanistan. Its there for all to see. And ultimately as somebody pointed out its the Afghan people's prerogative to decide on Indian presence. If they dont want it, they wont be here. Is Indian presence seen as an occupying or a maleovalent prsence b the Afghans themselves? I dont think so. If that was the case then we would have seen daily attacks on the 3000 or so Indian workers/buereaucrats/Army Liaisons in Afghanistan.

And to Pakistani or ISI symphatizers here. Pakistan forced India's hand by using the Jihadi/Taliban machinery to churn out terrorist attacks into India. I think its quite fair for India to try and reduce Pakistan's influence and stall the Jihadi assembly lines by striking at the heart of the problem in Afghanistan against the Taliban.

Pashtun nationalists side with non-Muslims, people who have expressed outward enimosity to Islam, Shariah and have persecuted Muslims.
