If the UN mandate authorized the ISAF mission/NATO mission, and US-NATO has been an occupying force, then by the UN charter, the US-NATO is supposed to ensure the territorial integrity of Afghanistan's border.

Why has there never been a US/NATO military response towards the Pakistani military and Iranian military missile strikes on Afghanistan?

Even though the US/NATO exit is approaching, international law under UN mandate should be upheld.

ANSF Capabilities

As Afghanistan prepares for Presidential and Provincial Counsel Elections slated for April 5th, and the US and coalition forces are getting closer to a drawdown, Afghan National Security Forces are demonstrating full capabilities to provide security for their own people and to fight their own battles. ANSF now conducts 95 percent of conventional operations and 98 percent of special operations in Afghanistan. Clearing operations are also ongoing around the country. According to the Afghan Interior Ministry, this week alone Afghan security forces carried out several clearing operations in several provinces killing three Taliban members, detaining several militants, seizing weapons, and defusing roadside bombs planted on the side of main roads by militants in recent days. In addition the Kabul Military Center officers are receiving better literacy training, better field training, better professional training, and working on building strong leadership skills; all important capabilities that they are continuously acquiring. The U.S. and Coalition forces will continue to train, assist, and advice the ANSF to ensure that those key institutions will continue to build the Afghan forces in the future.
