I am not sure why you blame everything on CENTCOM? Let me clarify, this post is not about CENTCOM or what CENTCOM considers. This is about the Afghan National Army, 350,000 men strong, risking their lives every day to protect their countrymen. This is about ordinary Afghans who do not want the Taliban to burn their schools and kill their women and children with suicide attacks and roadside bombings. This is about Afghans taking charge of their towns and villages, saying no to those who terrorize them. And, yes, they do work with their local police and national security forces to clear their areas from the Taliban. If you are still not convinced that this is what Afghans want, taking charge of their country, then please watch the clips below and hear what Afghans themselves have to say in their own words about what they want. Hope this will clarify your confusion.

Where did you get "blaming everything on centcom" from? This thread which was created by you, an employee of centcom that is here only to spread the company line created a thread which diminishes the value of afghan life by considering the death of afghans as "cleaning." what is your opinion of syria?. i think just like in afghanistan, in syria minority (Alwaite) are ruling over sunni majority and have used chemical weapons. Now if muslim world does not have their own army what is worng with americans sorting out our trash?. The only advantage that americans can gain from it is to secure Israeli border, and the only one left would be hizboullah (Jordan and Saudi are already on american side). As far as energy route is concerned, that has already been secured by americans and syria doesnt have many oil/gas resources to speak off.

If the UN mandate authorized the ISAF mission/NATO mission, and US-NATO has been an occupying force, then by the UN charter, the US-NATO is supposed to ensure the territorial integrity of Afghanistan's border.

Why has there never been a US/NATO military response towards the Pakistani military and Iranian military missile strikes on Afghanistan?

Even though the US/NATO exit is approaching, international law under UN mandate should be upheld.

Syria does not have much oil, Russia is backing them up because of all the weapons that syria buys from them and they are one of thier startegic partners. Only gain that americans would have from invading syria is securing israeli borders and also weakening hizbollah. But we have to remember that their is a civil war in syria and majority of the people are against Bashir Al Asad. Use of the chemical weapons broke the camels back. Tell me if i missed anything.

Pashtuns make up the majority and have always ruled over afghanistan. Moreover, pashtun culture genrally doesnot allow negotiating with invaders, Pashtunwali code. North part is Uzbek, Turkmen and Tajik mainly and they sided with the invaders against south, east and west, therefore, they were and are more preferred by the invaders. Look at composition of ANF and other government offices in afghanistan, as most are dominated by non-pashtuns nowadays. When pashtuns clearly makeup the majority over there.
