You gave me a narraitive; your word is not proof, your allusions to things that happened elsewhere at another time as confirming that this is what happened now. Is also not proof.

I don't know why you keep making logical blunders and assuming that somehow that will fool me or anyone else but you really have been failing to do this for quite sometime.

and there is no backtracking, reread your posts.

your arguing from a position that the taliban are foreign people. I am arguing from a position the taliban are local indegenous people. .
If you were insinuating that by local dispute you meant the locals rose up against Taliban tyranny, then you wouldn't have made a statement in attempt to contrast the news story. because that would have been redundant. You were trying to insinuate this was some tribal skirmish.

So the only one back peddling here, is you.

what are you talking about. the taliban are the locals. The locals rose up against the locals = a local dispute. These things happen all the time in afghanistan. this time the government is trying to spin the story and take advatage of it.

Well then if you're playing equivocation and saying locals rose up against locals; then you're confirming the news story. That locals are anti Taliban and you admit that the locals are against the Taliban

I don't see how that's spin, that's what everyone has been saying all along, before people were just afraid. Where is your evidence of spin?

So you admit it is a local dispute. my point proven.

The only thing people are afraid of is corrupt police officers coming in and raping innocents. saying the people being afraid is spinning NATO and the afghan governmnets narrative by claiming the people are not on their side because they are afraid to be on their side. Those people are so scared that they are willing to join the ill equipped taliban and fight the most powerful army the world has ever seen. OK you have convinced me. lol

if i read it correctly, the taliban ran away from afghanistan and are hiding amongst the locals. thereby the police, army and drones have been in the area where the taliban are hiding.
why are they not fighting in afghanistan?

No I am admitting it's the locals rising up against the Taliban, You just admitted it yourself, the local vs. unlocal argument is your narrative. Playing around with terms won't change what happened.

why would people be afraid of the police officers when the Taliban have issued the threats and have actually beheaded people for noncompliance? This would make no sense. I don't need to convince you, I'm just showing the Taliban argument is bogus.

From the same province, Taliban threatening locals.

Afghanistan's largest independent news agency. Headquartered in Kabul with eight regional bureaus and correspondents across all 34 provinces.

GHAZNI CITY (PAN): The Taliban have ordered all schools in the provincial capital closed in reaction to the ban on motorcycles by the government in southern Ghazni province, teachers said on Sunday.
Nearly 20 schools had already been closed, while the rest received threats from the rebels, said an education department official, Mohammad Hanif Ashrati.
He said the Taliban had warned against reopening the schools until the government lifted ban on motorcycles.
Last year, the provincial administration launched a crackdown on unregistered motorcycles. In response, the Taliban threatened owners of registered motorcycles against travelling.
"The Taliban do and want something opposite to what the government does," added Ashrati.
Kamaluddin, a teacher at Aurzo Kala School, said a number of armed Taliban visited their school on Saturday and asked them to shut down the school. He said the government had to find a solution to the problem, otherwise students’ future would be undermined.
To resolve the crisis, teachers from Asfandi, Zargar, Aurzo and other areas approached the Governor.
"All the schools in these areas have been closed after the Taliban threatened teachers with death," they told officials at the governor’s residence.
One of the teachers from Ghazni city, told Pajhwok Afghan News, on condition of anonymity, that civilians faced the brunt of the conflict.
However, Governor Musa Khan Akbarzada defended the ban on motorcycles, saying it played a considerable role in improving security. He said a handful of militants were unable to stop education in the province. A few schools had received threats from insurgents, but most of the schools were operational, he said.
Local journalists who visited the Deh Yak district on Saturday saw the schools in the district shut.
Despite efforts, no Taliban spokesman could be reached for comment on the issue.

                    same places

They said insecurities had been expanding day to day and Taliban militants were operating their activities without any fear in Andar district and other regions. Daily armed clashes occurred in several parts of Ghazni, elders added.
But the Governor of Ghazni Muhammad Musa Akbarzada, who leads the peace council in the province, rejects the claims, saying that the peace council has had many achievements.
It’s not possible to disclose all the achievements of peace council; the Governor Akbarzada hoped soon a group of 30 armed oppositions would renounce violence in the province.
“We can’t ignore the efforts of the peace council and the commission to lead the peace parleys. The people may think we have squandered over 50 million dollars while we have not received even $24,000 dollars. Yet now, nearly 20 people have joined our peace process and many others are contacting us,” Ghazni Governor Muhammad Musa Akbarzada said.
The criticisms of the peace council came after many violent and armed clashes were witnessed these days in several districts of central Ghazni province.
Due to the threats from the Taliban, most of the schools have been closed in Ghazni which have prevented thousands of students from getting education.
Meanwhile, tribal elders welcomed the signing of a strategic cooperation agreement with the US, saying it was vital for the future of Afghanistan.

I'm going to get all weird and say if the Taliban were a side in the Battle Of Siffin, which side would they be? Muawiya Ibn Abi Sufyan (who had Christians in high administration positions btw) or Ali Ibn Abi Talib (Stricly Muslims). Remember Ali tried to urge his forces to finish of Muawiya's, even after Muawiya's army wrote Quranic verses on their swords.

I hope it makes sense in text

Not wanting to be tyrannized by fanatics who impose their interpretation on othersand wanting their kids to have an education and seek knowledge is Mu'awiyah's worldly views

and and tyrannizing Muslims who refuse to conform as the Taliban do is Umar Ib Khattab's simple way of life?

are you sure you don't have this backwards?

I'm telling you I do not know myself. The only thing I could do is keep on continuing reading about how Islam was carried by the four rightly guided caliphs.

I am not a Taliban supporter or a hater as I haven't met and talked to any of their members in person. But I know people who have and they are mixed in the matter. The more religious the more good things they say about them, the more secular (I dislike this word) the more negative they say.

But the one common ground is that they both say that you cannot belief anything you hear about them through the media. It's a complicated issue, hence why the war will never end.
