I said most likely. I cant trust what the governmnet says because it has been proven they are corrupt. The pattern approach is more trustworthy.

the governmnet claim that the tide is turning just shows how desperate they are to claim they are legitimate.

This guy apparently thinks this is logical. LOL
you think it is logical to assume that when the taliban claim they control helmond equals every armed thug in helmond is a talib. LOL

or that some joe shmow talib claiming the russians support them proves that the russians actually support them. haha

      you are a funny man.

So basically you're spurring a narrative and have no evidence, got it.

the evidence is the pattern, it is the most likely scenerio until more information comes to light. In the mean time we can only work with the variables at hand.

yes most were giving their opponents or their rivals up to the americans for money. And the pakistanis were giving up the taliban that were moderates who they viewed as their(the pakistani) opponents within the taliban movement. The Taliban that were extremists were never given up to the americans by the pakistanis since those men would be willing to fight the americans in the future.

I read that there was a 90 year old man in guantanomo:

this one was aged 12 years old:

There were many innocents afghans that were tortured, killed in US custody in afghansitan such as this one but there are numerous stories like these:

                tpr, looks an interesting site.
the torture done by americans is nearly unbelievable, to think that it is the hypocrite that condemns the abuse by other nations or leaders and gets other countries and people persecuted for their bad behaviour.
i saw reports from one of the men in those photos of abuse. the guy in the hood with the electrical equipment connected to him. his report was disgusting and these people are suffering still from those memories.
the australian government not speaking out against american atrocities is a shame on australia.

Hmmm... some interesting information. People as old or young as this were being sold to the US and tortured.

Goes on to show that many innocents have been caught up in this battle.

your arguing from a position that the taliban are foreign people. I am arguing from a position the taliban are local indegenous people. That is why any Afghans vs Taliban or TAliban vs NA or HIG vs Taliban or HIG vs NA is a local dispute. You dont understand how Afghanistan functions as a society. You can never fathom it unless you see it in person.

no I'm arguing from a position that Taliban are oppressors, perhaps foreign influenced, but whether they themselves are foreign is irrelevant. They're in conflict with the desires of the society of the locals on its most fundamental level. The fact the Taliban have to threaten to the locals is evidence of that. Najib was a local but an oppressor, Taliban could be locals but oppressors. Oppression is Oppression.

dont change goal posts when your losing the argument.
but its still a local dispute and that was the point right.
We are not arguing wheather the taliban are oppressors, we are arguing about wheather this was a local dispute.

No I was arguing....and then you started to assert some other issue of whether the Taliban are foreign or not. which had had nothing to do with the subject of this thread.

                              you went on red herring.

you dont have to like anyone. but the afghans should take care of those people if they choose to, and they should protect themselves against those people that aim to destoy them. It is unethical and immoral for some foreign army to protect them for their(the foreign army) own interests.
