Exactly, once NATO became involved and sent in special forces and bombed gadafi forces, then the whole thing became irrational becasue it was no longer a domistic issue.

I need sources where the taliban targeted civilians pre 911

    • Scimitar, I second Khushals request for sources about the Taliban targeting civilians

Also, while your at it, please explain to me why you don't deny the Syrian insurgency based on their Turkish safe havens (Turks oppress Kurds, even joined hands with Assad in doing that) and the backing and funding they get from Saudi Wahabis/AQ/ Qatar/ ? The Saudi Wahabis are the same ones who export Wahabism to Afghanistan( according to you)

      Thanks

wait you just said they were domestic , now you're saying it isn't explain how NATO becoming involved made the "resistance" irrational when the resistance were winning on their accord and how they were rational when Gaddafi was making mince meat out of them

I did that like 100 times, you're looking for an answer that pleases your "The Taliban are true Muslim Mujahideen" fallacy.

          here you go

This book examines the changing roles of Afghani women in the aftermath of the overthrow of the oppressive Taliban regime in 2001. It describes the success of women in the workforce, and evaluates how their achievements have come about in a nation that struggles to overcome years of poverty, corruption, regional conflicts, and the overwhelming destruction of war. The book also covers the unique health challenges faced by women and families living in Afghanistan, focusing on recent developments in maternal and reproductive health care, the lingering problems associated with food shortages, and the improved availability of local emergency services and basic health care. Finally, the work evaluates the impact of the 2005 resurgence of the Taliban on women and girls.

Human Rights Watch presents the July 2001 report "Afghanistan: Crisis of Impunity: The Role of Pakistan, Russia, and Iran in Fueling the Civil War" in HTML and PDF formats. The report highlights the role of outside countries in the civil war in Afghanistan. Human Rights Watch notes the humanitarian impact of years of war, population displacement, famine, and economic ruin.

The Torture Papers document the so-called 'torture memos' and reports which US government officials wrote to prepare the way for, and to document, coercive interrogation and torture in Afghanistan, Guantanamo, and Abu Ghraib. These documents present for the first time a compilation of materials that prior to publication have existed only piecemeal in the public domain. The Bush Administration, concerned about the legality of harsh interrogation techniques, understood the need to establish a legally viable argument to justify such procedures. The memos and reports document the systematic attempt of the US Government to prepare the way for torture techniques and coercive interrogation practices, forbidden under international law, with the express intent of evading legal punishment in the aftermath of any discovery of these practices and policies.

It was domestic at the beginning just like the syrian rebellion is domestic right now. It can all change and you will aslo be calling the syrian rebels cowards just like you are the libyan rebels who were killing the turegs.

            • But your logic is skewed here's why

you were saying the horrors of war are what drives people to do crazy things. But you were saying that initially it wasnt crazy , even though Qaddhafi was exterminating these guys left and right.

After NATO helped the Insurgents, and their death numbers decreased dramatically and many people who were not initially even involved or witnessed deaths started joining when there were less chance of deaths. Then they turned into mad men.

Do you see why you're inconsistent here?

WERE like 12 years ago ....not IS that's the difference New Regime, New Laws, new standards buddy, can't blame the current Turkish regime for the past. That would be like giving credit to Najib for what Mirwais Khan Hotaki did.

Turkey is still oppressing the Kurds, and was even last year conducting air raids on Kurdish areas sometime with Assads forces attacking the Kurds from Syria at the same time

This happened a lot last year and still is happening

                  You just make up things

                  • There are no borders in the Taliban's imaginary ummah dream so why would they recognize Duran Line? Duran Line doesn't even exist in reality as tribes cross the border all the time and FATA is an autonomous region anyway. They have their own laws and no Talib can enforce the border even if they tried.

so the biggest reason for not recognizing Duran line
                    - Not to upset the pashtuns who form majority of the Taliban
                    - Islamically doesn't make sense since these borders were drawn by the British anyway
                    - One of the few cards Taliban had up their sleeve against pakistan

Also maybe Pakistan doesn't want a border there and want to make the whole of Afghansitan their 5th province, if not the whole of Afghanistan then at least pashtun areas

The Taliban are no ones stooges, they fight foriegners on their soil, wheather they be NATO or Pakistani soldiers in FATA. FATA is not apart of Pakistan, it is an independent entity whose tribesmen have pledged allegience to Mullah Omar. The "stooges" label is propaganda to illegitimize the Afghans natural rebellions against foreign invaders throughout history. It is a tactic to label an indigenous resistance as a foreign proxy.

The Afghans are not falling for it.

not only that, but the Iranians stationed 200,000 troops at the afghan border for invasion to avenge their agents being killed and at the last minute chickened out. Today you have the head of the afghan government on the payroll of the iranians and the head of the defense ministry molesting kids on camara.
People like Comradpashtuna are a joke.

hold on to what, that the afghans have a history of resisting foreign invasions. Go build a time machine and go back in time and change history and only then you could prove that wrong.
