Oke so lets forget the statue, what about his stupid laws of baning music, television and girls education. And to say that it was for there safty is bulschit, if you can't protect your women than your have failed as a leader. He had no economic plans or any other to rebuild the country.
          Mullah Omar= Epic fail
          He failed as a muslim
          He Failed as a pashtun
He failed as a human being

Provide sources if he ever gave a fatawaa or interduced a law regarding ban for girls to educate themselves.

speak about islam, when you have some islam in yourself.

what youre trying to do is justify how the khar came into being. i know that. what im saying is the man was a khar, and this eye brow plucker wouldve been ten times the ruler he was. so essentially youre agreeing with me but with one long foot note to add to your agreement

1)The destruction of the budha statues was a cry for help more than anything else.

2)What discrimination against the shamal are you talking about. It was the shamal who put Taliban prisoners in containers and left them to die of dehydration. It was the shamal who killed 3000 Taliban in an ambush in Mazar. Do you think there is going to be no reaction to it.

3)Those savage laws you talk about, Afghanistan was going through one of the most savage time of its history. There was rampant raping of women in major cities, kidnapping of children, murders happening left and right everywhere, looting of everything people with guns can get their hands on and selling them on the black market in other countries, etc. What do you expect from people that had no knowledge of administration. These are madrasa students.

I dont agree with any of their policies that they implemented but I understand that policies come about because of the political and economical environment at hand. The harsher the environment, the harsher the policies.

If the US with all its resources and intellectual capacity cant bring some kind of a functioning administration to the country, why would you expect anything better from him who had no resources nor any intellectual talents at his disposal. But for the record, he did a better job than the US.

You have no respect for this man because he is a product of destroyed society, why would you have any respect for a society that destroyed itself.

What opportunity of a lifetime. Do you think a bunch a illiterate madrasa students can build a superpower from scratch in a couple of years. The society would have eventually adapted and evolved, but it would have taken generations. The calamity was delivered by the soviet invasion, thats what destroyed the country, once that happened, there was no turning back.

The Tree analogy is better because we dont try to benefit from a Lion; we strive to get benefits by a tree.

                      Mullah Umar showed poor fruits.

False Dichotomy; he didn't say they needed to build a super power; but RESTORE some resemblance of a functioning and viable society. They weren't starting from scratch, this is a truism passed around to apologize for their antics. All they had to do was "clean up" the place and they did that, but then they started oppressing the people they were cleaning up. Many International agencies were trying to help, but were constantly harassed and threatened by the Taliban. The Few that stayed did so because they were willing to bear it. The Taliban lost so much assistance just for the fact they felt women shouldn't go to school. Even s not even ALL Girls schools, which were predominant in Afghanistan, this of course was at the mercy of the whatever minister or governor ran the area.

The Russian Calamity ws real, but Afghanistan still had its own airlines; so it couldn't have been that run down, There was electricity in Qandahar even during the Taliban era, until the Taliban tried severing Afghanistan from the rest of the world, everything indicates their agenda was to cripple Afghanistan even further and not relieve them.
