    Wow !
Was this video just released ?

Which kindly PF member could give an English summary ?
I hate to ask for the whole almost 10 minutes
    but I am fascinated.
I am so glad I happened to look at PF right now or I would have missed
    this.
It's what many people are waiting for.
i am sure it will help clarify much of the cobwebs about Mullah Omar [h.a.]
himself and seemingly his deeds [re: the Buddhas and perhaps many other
    actions during his first rule?].

    Afghans need to hear it.
Should be translated to Dari and Uzbek TOO,
to dispel the myths amongst these peoples about him.

They need to feel comfortable with him, seeing as he will be back
    soon most likely.

It's important to pave the way most carefully
and THOUGHTFULLY of the mentality of the entire population
of Afghanistan so they will welcome him
and not listen to all the other propaganda
such as can be seen easily by the heckling comments on this
    very thread.

The political climate and the economical climate would have made that almost impossible for any man to accomplish such feats.

There were too many problems. The International community had completely ignored Afghanistan so you would have been on your own. The country was faced with the worst drought in modern history, and you had a civil war not to mention warlords and powerful drug dealers running loose in the country to deal with. You had an illiterate society addicted to drugs and the majority of the national GDP was coming from drugs. On top of that you had to deal with wolves surrounding the country, Iran from the west, the former Soviet Bloc from the north, India and Pakistan and the Arabs who all wanted influence for their own interest in the country and you really had no cards to play with because your economy was in ruin and your society was completely destroyed with no hope of rebuilding any of it.

The societies literate people who had any administration knowledge had left the country and you had two groups of people left. One group were illiterate drug addicts and the other group were illiterate madrasa sudents. Your options are limited Senorita. The Man dont make the Times, it is the Times that make the man. Mullah Omar didnt create the Afghanistan that you saw back then or the Afghanistan that you see today. It was Afghanistan as a destroyed society that created Mullah Omar.

What most of you fail to realize is that the reason the US has failed is because the US also had the same two groups of people to work with. The US refused to work with the madrasa students and they choose the illiterate drug addict and if you beleive that you can build a society with illiterate drug addicts, then your an illiterate drug addict yourself.

Oke so lets forget the statue, what about his stupid laws of baning music, television and girls education. And to say that it was for there safty is bulschit, if you can't protect your women than your have failed as a leader. He had no economic plans or any other to rebuild the country.

Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said in several authentic hadiths to destroy Idols.

Abraham (peace and blessings be upon him) destroyed the Idols in his village according to the Qur'an.

Mullah Omar destroyed the Idols in his country.

I fail to see where is the problem.

The jewel of Afghanistan is it's people's faith in Allah Most High, not some stupid statues.

The destruction of these statues should have been a warning for all of you : nothing is eternal except Allah SWT and the goal of our life is to please him, not to please western governments, or western tourists.

if Allah wanted to destroy it, he would have sent an earthquake or a flood to destroy it, not through an ISI Fagg0t (Mullah Omar)

i don't want to dislike mullah omar, i really don't. ties with pakistan is not enough for me to completely write someone or a movement off completely. if so, id of labeled all the mujahadin as traitors. i understand things are never black and white.

what gets me though, is this mans utter lack of understanding and responsibility for what his title entails. hardcore talibs get giddy when there is actually a recording of his voice which is laughable. this is the 21st century. more people saw the prophet face and heard his voice 1400 years ago than they have mullah omars today.

the whole mystique and romanticism of being hidden has run its coarse, like 15 years ago.
There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

I concur; I would have given Mullah Umar a chance if he actually did something that benefits the Muslims of his nation. But every turn seemed to instigate grief and soured people. He has proven himself incompetent in leading. You're right, we all have to interact and deal with people. Nabi(saw) struck accords with the Jews of Yathrib. But Mullah Umar went to the point of sacrificing the well being of Muslims for the sake of their interests; there's a distinction to made there, and I'm sure that is what you're alluding to as well.

Why someone who claims to be brave has to be so hidden? It shows he's a coward, even Gulbuddin Hekmatyar is open and he's on the kill or capture list

I have never come across a single account where those who have met him personally have said anything negative about the man. Yet those who have never met him, have never been in his shoes, are quick to smear him. Who are we to judge him, sitting, living, eating, and breathing among those that butcher our people on daily bases to question the character of Mullah Omar? All the accusations are just excuses from the narrative of defeated conformists.

youre not saying anything i dont already know, But heres what else I know. I know that this khar destroyed the greatest historical monument we had. I know this khar implemented some of the most savage rules ever known to man in the modern era. I know this khar discriminated against the shamal.

what youre trying to do is justify how the khar came into being. i know that. what im saying is the man was a khar, and this eye brow plucker wouldve been ten times the ruler he was. so essentially youre agreeing with me but with one long foot note to add to your agreement
