Can Pakistan & Afghanistan Unite?

Personally I think both Afghanistan and Pakistan should be split up into mini states, like Pashtunistan/Afghanistan, Punjab, Sindh, Kashmir, Balochistan, Baltistan, Seraikistan and so on. Each state should be soveriegn and have a local majlis/parliment and their own dominant language and culture. What will unite them will be Islam and similar cultures and econmic inetrests. The armies of these states should defend one another and if one is attacked by outsider all states join in, sort of like NATO. There should be free trade agreement and no visa restrictions. It should resemble something like a loose version of united states or european union.

This is a good idea on paper, but economically these individual states will suffer, for example most of these states wont have connection to the sea and port city of Karachi for example, they will loose out economically, unless they discover some kind of natural resources.

One thing that is discussed regarding pakistan is to have many states with in pakistan for different ethnic groups. That might loosen up the ethnic tensions atleast and may result in less corruption and fair management and governance

Sindh and balochistan will have access to AFghanistan's mineral wealth and access to central asia and punjab's agricultural products in exchange for sea route. it will be part of the agreement between these united states that access to sea should be given to all landlocked states. Any state which purposely blocks sea route should be warned and then collectively punished by other states in the union. After all we are all muslims and brothers. We should help each other rather than fight over pety differences. ofcourse i am speaking of a dream here but one can still hope.

The same goes for Afghanistan, too bro. Exactly the same. Sad but true. Beside that, Pakistan do not want a unification with Afghanistan because of Islam or the common heritage but because to loot Afghan ground and lands and take resources to Rawalpindi and Islamabad. Balochistan isn´t an example?

I don't know where u get these claims from from. I lived in Paksitan for 7 years growing up, and still follow tha news on T.V, and have never heard it wants to merge with Afghanistan. Do u like to hate Pakistan just for tha sake of it? I'm trying to bring us pakhtuns, and more importantly, us Muslims together, and all u guys seem to do, is hate. Take lessons from tha past, and realize, that tha Muslims, even though they might b bad, ultimatly r not our real enemies.
