i like many in ANP,and i think ANP so called leaders are only together for the sake of keeping pashtuns together.

I admire Shahi Sayed of ANP and Mahmud Achakzai are a couple of great leaders even though we dont hear anything from them regarding hot issues such as drone attacks ,invasion of Afghanistan and invasion of pukhtunkhwa.

i attended a jirga where there was also an ANP representative and shed light on some issues, and i dont think he admires gandhi ,he was actually saying that gandhi asked the british to devide Pashtun into three and the 3rd part being stuck in india otherwise these people will tak eover india again.

on the phone in that meeting we got to hear a guy from PPP sherpao and to be honest i didnt expect PPP sherpao to be pro Lar Aw Bar Afghan unity.

so overall people in ANP and Pmap are good but their leaders are passive and dotn have clear vision.

for example : if bacha khan was alive today,he would have fought the paki establishment.

One would think Graveyard wrorre, but their lip service is entirely different than their action.

Achekzai has clearly Marxist roots and I will discuss him next. He was deeply affiliated with Najib.

Even the supposedly sacred Bacha Khan, as shown above had his own views and intentions... his commentary in that well referenced source showed that he unfortunately, was not seeking lar and bar unity.

I would much prefer a person of your loyalty, forsight, and honesty compared to these people.

Ahmad Shah Abdali and Mir Wais Neka but words into action and forced a unity on the kabaeels all across the land, but allowed them a degree of their autonomy.

These people are not able to hold a candle to them.

Sherpao, from what little I know about him, is another example of an extremely corrupt backwards individual. He was able to maneuver out of corruption charges.

He conducted the unity jirga with Karzai and has been a proponent of many Pakistani operations in FATA.

This does not mean that the average ANP or PMAP party affiliate is a power hungry and manipulative person, they, like most party affiliates around the world, are blinded by rhetoric. Its the same here in the US, a republican or a democrat, if they are hard core enough lives and dies by their party leader... to the democrat, any insult on Obama is tantamount of racism and backwardness... to the Republicans an criticism of Bush equals criticism of Jesus Christ in their terminologies.

These people do not understand that they are searching for true guidance and a true party to affiliate with and that the gold standard guidance is found on page one of a kitaab that says:

Alif Laam Meem, Zhalikaal Kithaabo laraay baa fih hud ul lil mutaqeen...

This is the Book, in it a is guidance, SURE WITHOUT A DOUBT.

i think ANP or PMAP both have no clear vision for Pashtuns and they arent seriouse about the situation of Pashtuns be it in pukhtunkhwa or karachi.

one should see them objecting all the time yet you never get to hear or see them so much coming out with their protest.

like gadoonwal said, a revolution will do the job,but than again there are many who will misuse a revolution and cause people to suffer.

Look at their representatives here. They vye for who can own the title of "most daring athiest on the block". They think that everyone is a fool and that no one has sat in a hujra, walked through a village on either side of the dividing line, or witnessed the fervor of their people.

So they somehow then erect this vision of Pashtunistan where about 100 years ago Pashtuns were like Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie hanging out by a river making small talk.

If I go and make small talk with some random girl over there, its asking for a beat down. Anyone with any common sense knows this.

Take for example Maseed's idiot rantings about Waziristan and how chaps were hanging out by the river, waiting to pick up chicks.

You and I know that when you become a zalmaay over there, you cannot walk into a random stranger's home.

There are many modern anthropoligical issues that predate the Zia era that have to address, like the high walls on homes and this habit.

Take for instance, this British Court Case in the former NWFP in 1929. Pre their Zia era drivel and BS. Note the language utilized in the document:

          http://www.indiankanoon.org/doc/242625/

Mind you, this is a court case involving one of the major land owner Khans written by the British appellate.

"It remains to be added that undoubted difficulty arises in the case on account of the fact that the mother of the appellant was not a purdahnaahin lady. The other wives lived behind the purdah according to the well-known Mohammedan habit. They were strict Mohammedans, young persons brought from Afghanistan. The third wife, Musammat Babo, had been in fact a maidservant and housekeeper in the household of the deceased. When the marriage took place the continued her duties in the household and was not purdahnashin. Even if that had involved or recognised a lack or disregard of social status, these things were essentially matters for herself and her husband to consider. But it is no part of the law of India that to have lived and to remain behind the purdah is a necessary part of a lady's legal marriage or a conclusive evidential fact. It is a circumstance to be considered when the fact of the marriage is in issue. But that issue is to be determined on a broad conspectus of the whole situation, including of course the purdah item, In the present case, it is by no means sufficient to interfere either with the presumptions of law or the balance of the proof of fact."

True, ANP has no clear vision for Pashtoons. Currently they are taking orders from isi and living under the cover of isi.
Majority of Pashtoon people are religious people and want their culture preserved but ANP being a secular party damn care of the Islamic values, even they are doing nothing for their culture but doing so much against it.
I wish they were not a secular party, I wish they were doing some good for their culture and values to be preserved.

Barakzai, stop the Akhwani propaganda---quoting a Punjabi like Raja Anwar with the agenda to create a wedge between Pashtuns gives no credence to your Akhwani propaganda---but then those that are in the service of ISI would do what they are asked to do ---

now toramana has another word "Akhwani"

i think this desperate loser is too scared to say in open how much he despises muslims which over majority if not all pashtuns are.
he thinks he can slowly deislamise pashtuns .

Pashtuns like other Afghans are Muslims,

                          not atheists, not secular.

never have been, and never will be

Mirwais neeka was a Muslim, Ahmad Shah Baba was the first Amir Al-Mumineen of the empire that was founded as an Islamic emirate, not a secular nation state.

                          Seculars are the outcasts

always have been, always will be
Yes, they are Muslims not terrorist and fanatics --- this disease is not indegenous but of foreign origin brought to Pashtun Land---But soon Pashtuns are going to eliminate it from their land---

And Mr donkey (unknown prince) you can't even read, write, and speak Pashto ---tell us the truth are you some Uzbak absconder in hiding in Waziristan from Uzbak authorities...

Now Toramana, please, lets let the politics aside. You and all others need to address these two facts of matter below. Either deal with the source (which has NEVER had any criticism or calumny on it) or deal with the quote. Deal with the British era commentary on the behavior of the Pashtuns in the case of the loy Kohat Khan discussed. If you cannnot, and of a surety you cannot, then concede politely and move on.

                              QUOTE 1 (EVIDENCE BASED)

                              http://www.khyber.org/publications/p...ationalism.pdf

"Pashtun nationalists demanded an independent state because they could see that in future Pakistan, they would be dominated by the Panjabies, whereas in case of becoming part of Afghanistan they had to give up the politics of Pashtun nationalism because of Afghanistan was already ruled by Pakhtuns. Thus a new identity was imagined and constructed which shared a past with Afghanistan, but did not want a future with it. Afghanistan's support for the idea of a new state was acceptable, but not Afghanistan itself (Anwar 1988 page 31). Moreover, Ghaffar Khan, who continously evoked the past glory of the Pakhtun nation, contemptuously said about Afghans (Pakhtuns): 'We do not want to be one with those naked people (Anwar 1988 page 31)' Thus the anti colonial nationalist made the colonial durand line that divided pakhtuns the basis of his brand of pakhtun nationalism."

                              Source of Ghaffar Khan's quote:
Raja Anwar's The Tragedy of Afghanistan: A first hand account.
                              <A href="http://books.google.com/books?id=-uttAAAAMAAJ&sitesec=reviews" target=_blank>http://books.google.com/books?id=-ut...itesec=reviews

The author goes on to note the irony of the Jalalabad burial in that he ended up being buried and taken in by those same naked people.

                              QUOTE 2 (EVIDENCE BASED):

Take for instance, this British Court Case in the former NWFP in 1929. Pre their Zia era drivel and BS. Note the language utilized in the document:
