Bah, same thing can be said of any communist country - they are all police states where the rulers live luxurious lives. My original point still stands - that Brzezinski particularly wanted to defeat Soviet Union which occupied his homeland. Who else did he want to defeat but them? They were his main target. You are claiming he wanted to defeat some wider group, but you yourself are then paring down that "wider" group until only the Soviets are left. Who else did he want to defeat if not the Soviets? Everything he did was in connection with his obsession against Moscow. Why? Because they were occupying his homeland.

Your stupidity is astonishing and your love for a coward like masood is blind. The US knew where the arms and funds were going and it served their interest and that was creating a headache for the soviets in Afghanistan. If Hitler was in Afghanistan aiming his guns at the Soviets, the amreicans would have supported him because the Soviets were the main threat to Amreican dominence.
Ah, but if Hitler had been fighting the Soviets in Europe to create a headache for them, then the US would not have supported that.
Even if Masood or Hekmatyar had been fighting the Soviets in Europe to create the headache for them, the US response would not support that.
Why? Because the European refugees/ex-patriates who dominate US decision-making would not want to see bloodshed and fighting near their homelands. So that's why any war against Soviets - whether led by Hitler, Masood, Hekmatyar, or Taliban - would have to take place away from Europe and among the "lesser countries".

This is why Brzezinski aggressively supported hyper-violent anti-Soviet militants in regions outside of Europe, but meanwhile in Europe he pursued many peace treaties and peace agreements with the Soviets. Why? Because Brzezinski wanted to keep his own relatives safe back in his homeland, and bleed the Soviets elsewhere through liberation wars too far away to endanger his own people.

you are just spitting out mumbo jumbo mr dumbo. Why would china be a threat, they have been converted to capitalism. Moscow is still struggling with their conversion. Brezinski is loyal to capitalistic interests which is US interests. The more Tajiks I meet, the more uninformed stupidity I witness. The US built China's economy just like they built Japans economy, the former No. 2 economy and just like they built Germany's economy, the former no. 3 economy.
Mumbo, jumbo, detective columbo. US motivations are not only based on fighting communism, Mr Columbo. US fought Germany and Japan, too. AlQaeda are not communists but US is fighting them. Of course China is a threat to the US - they are a large rising power who own a large part of the US national debt.
Brzezinski is not loyal to capitalism - he has advocated socialism and greater state control in the West in order to make it more solid against "the Russian threat". These are not capitalist principles. Brzezinski is only loyal to his homeland, and thus for him all roads lead to war against Moscow.

That's why he went out of his way to mastermind the Afghan War to bleed the Soviets, using other people as pawns to serve his own goals.

Are you learning yet. to recap, the US has built the No.1 economy, their own, the No. 2 economy, the Chinese, the No. 3 economy, Japanese, the No.4 economy, Germany. The US rebuilt France, No.5 economy. The US bailed out the UK after WW2, No. 6 economy. They built Italy's economy. They are currently building India's economy.
Dr Brzezinski did not build up the Afghan economy, he turned the nation into a burnt out ruin by fighting his liberation war there. This allowed him to avoid turning his own homeland into such a burnt out ruin, by saving him the trouble of having to fight war there to liberate them.

All the top economies of the World have been built by the US. Saudi, UAE, Kuwait, Quatar economies have all been built by the US. Pakistan, Egypt, Jordan, Israel, are all on welfare from the US. If their welfare checks stop, their governments collapse.
And yet Pakistan has bilked the US out of tens of billions, while sheltering Osama and providing the US no progress in the war.

Do you know what capitalism is, do you know who started it and the ideas behind it. do you know why the US would built these economies. What interests do they have. Do you have an education or am I talking to some dimwit.
Yes, we all understand the oil interests. But Afghanistan was not known as an oil-rich nation during the 70s/80s. Neither was Pakistan.

typical Tajik incompetence who cant bring administration to Afghanistan even with foreign help. you are such failures. Not all Tajiks support Masood or Rabani and not all Uzbeks support Dostom and not all pashtuns support Taliban. That is ludicrous.
Most Hazaras were murdered by Masood during the civil war.
No, just those in Kabul whom Masood was shelling - Hekmatyar's allies - the ones whom Taliban later killed while pretending to rescue them.

Ahmed Shah was a pashtun not a Tajik. he is the one who united the pasthun tribes under a confederate structure, ruled over you tajiks, panjabis, Iran to Delhi.
That was my point, and you are now taking it as your own, like a flip-flopper.

Pakistan is a nation in the modern sense, not a modern nation. there is a difference. Afghanistan is neither a modern nation nor a nation in the modern sense.
there is a reason why this happens in Afghanistan, go learn about economics and get back to me if you have figured it out.
Pakistan is neither a modern nation, nor a nation in the modern sense. Afghans and Pashtuns both pre-date Pakistanis.

What little you know about economics, the Pakistanis seem to know even less, because you can see how pathetic their economy is. They are a basketcase and universally recognized as a failing state. All Pakistan can do these days is threaten to commit suicide. Please tell which esteemed colleagues of yours see Pakistan as a success, Professor.

Karzai/Fahim gang are corrupt because they don not care about their nation. They want to create their own little fiefdom in Afghainstan and want to be the pharohs of afghanistan. It wont work, they have to actually care about its people. Divorce only works if it is economically feasible for all parties involved including the neighbors. Poor people dont divorce when they cant afford it. Your going to have accept the status quo.
Does not explain the incompetence of NATO and the afghan governmnet. scapegoating does not work. progress in Afghanistan is people living in peace.
Karzai is there as long as the US supports him. Fahim, Masood, Rabbani, etc have only succeeded because they have the backing of their people, which you refuse to understand. If you can't recognize the aspirations of other communities, and think that you can use Taliban blitzkrieg to lord it over them, then I suggest you save yourself the trouble and just get a divorce.
Just say Talak three times, and I'm sure they'll accept even that.

Taliban cannot conquer all of Afghanistan through brute force, and that fact is what drove them to take help from Osama. They were so desperate to achieve the impossible, that they agreed to let him launch 9-11, if only he would first eliminate their arch-enemy Masood. That's why 9-11 occurred the next day after his death. But we can all see how short-lived that Taliban "victory" was. So once again, their conquest goal has shown itself to be impossible, and it will continue to remain impossible even after the Americans leave. So what new stunt will you try next time, in your desperation to achieve your unachievable goal? As your next trick, will you invite China to invade?

Hey, why don't you hire an expert like Brzezinski to help you?
He will plan something very clever, he will kill lots of people, but even after that there will be no peace in Afghanistan. But you can be sure his own homeland will be better off.

I read that now Pakistanis want to speak Chinese. They want to make it part of the school curriculum, although they have nobody who can speak it, let alone teach it.

BBC News - Schools in Pakistan's Sindh province to teach Chinese

Maybe Pakistanis are tired of Urdu. Quaid-i-Azam is long dead, and they want China as their new daddy.

Perhaps this needs to be followed up with Chinese cooking lessons, such as for Pork Fried Rice. China is the only country in the world to have a Strategic Pork Reserve:

        Oink, Oink, everybody!

          sanman,
what are you talking about, you are talking like your drunk.
I never claimed Ahmed shah durani was a tajik and capitalism is an economic system. It has nothing to do with a police state. You could have capitalism or communism in a democracy or in a dictatorship. you make no sense. you are just a blabbering idiot.
I never said pakistan is an economic powerhouse. I said it is on welfare from the west.

I don't even know why you are bringing up pork products in China, what does that have to do with anything. who cares if pakistan is teaching chinese to its citizens, so is every other country.

you have to keep a rational mind otherwise its a waste to talk to you.
