  • That's "natural course" argument is a fallacy.

Fact remains the Afghans didn't want them and stood back when they were overthrown and even joined in. That was the natural course; when Taliban no longer had ISI machinery to point at Afghans holding them hostage

Alchemist has a problem with knowing fact

He finds it difficult, and lives in a Malcolm X fantasy

The day NATO forces came in, Taliban fighters all over Afghanistan were rounded up, placed into containers and SHOT DEAD by the PEOPLE, if Taliban were supported by the people, then the Taliban would not need to hide in burqas or drive suicide bombing trucks as out desperation.

Alchemist is a Pro Pak, ISI lobbist, who wants to turn AFG into a Province ruled over by the PTI

Taliban werent rounded up but they were pows and they werent shot dead by PEOPLE but by a group of bandits who already is half dismanteld.
Taliban are supported by almost all of Afghanistan except for some criminal elements such as Dostum of yours.

Whats up with you guys and shiity logic. Switch it around. If NATO was fighting "Taliban imperialism" why are they dropping bombs on civilians and rounding up civilians including babies in places like Balandi and Alkozai and then murdering them cold blood. Killing innocents and taking their body parrts as trophies and countless other incidents like urinating on dead corpses of civilians(like the way you did on Imran Khans picture and showed the video to the World, what a baighyrat). Why are Afghans not fighting these people, oh wait, the evil Afghan are fighting them. Evil fighting Evil. War if ugly.

The question is who has the moral high ground in this ugly struggle. Lets go back to what Alchemist has said.

                  • If any of you have lived in afghsnistan as adults, and you may have noticed that people are reserved of their open support of talibs or dostum or ismail khan, the police or the army, etc UNLESS they are sitting amongst those who openly support any one aforementioned, in the security of shared opinions - comraderie. There is a fear of, not of being stigmatised, but of being at the wrong place, wrong time, with wrong people who might be in power and saying something stupid, in extreme case, become threat to one's life. (Try saying something against the T in wardak for instance).

I have seen a pious young man amongst others, who spent his childhood in baghlan, worked as an adult in paghman and kabul, support the kunduz kharoti G'din, support ASM for his loyalty to hewad, and support Dostum for not selling out to Kabul. There is no need to analyse the validity of his diverse support, when you consider the perilous nature of betrayal if you are in the wrong camp.

Further, I have noticed that many of us (Afghans) are polarised in opinion (on top of the anxieties mentioned above of saying wrong thing at wrong time), we have accepted some actions of the talibs when the actions have been right, in the defence of watan from foreigners, the sellouts, their cronies, the watanfarosh aw farange, and we have been equally disgusted when actions have not lived to our individual expectations because some of the killed were, um, say not that bad, maybe small time watanfarosh! The same 'we' have not remained committed to the talibs or others, because each faction has not been consistent in ideology. I have a feeling that support of Talibn is indeed there at grassroots, because at the root of it we, I, don't want the foreigners, and these talibs do target them, unfortunately, among the targeted is the innocent collateral, BTW I stress unproven, because I do feel, like in Iraq when SAS men* dressed as Arabs were caught, and the report died down, I suspect secret provocateurs is not out of the realm of possibilities, who may be there destabilising and thereby giving reasons for the foreigners to remain . OK its unproven yet I want to hold onto it as an outlier (like observations of data in statistics). Unfortunately a few T have a bad habit of getting caught dressed as women, and unfortunately a few are so stupid that they exceed the khaliji jahaliya that necessitated Islam to descend (نا زلو) in arabia, that they end up killing innocent people (killing Afghans in a blinkered GI-had), and get wrapped up in other heinous acts such killing or poisoning school girls.

Many anti-T folks have felt something in their guts when they discovered that these ragtag kaliwal types managed to sabotage, how many where there, three, four or was it five aircraft on a foreign base near Kandahar, but could not give umbariki of approval because of the polarity of emotion.

Then there is ethnic support, WRONGLY, as some DO feel for our talib wruna. Irony of 'blood is thicker than water'.

I also feel many of our warriors are youngsters living abroad, whose views have formed outside Afghanistan, and tainted with another syndrome, that of an outsider, barhni, view. Your views are eccentric to those Afghans who live and work in Afghanistan. It is like the young muslims I met in England, they were sons of Afghan parents who knew themslves simply as Muslim, sunni, maybe our parents might have said 'hanfi', but the young generation is all clued up fom their brethren in foreign lands, from sunni forums etc, these youngsters can out word their parents with religious jargon as madhad, the firqa, the fiqh, and more, you are now either deo or barel, wahbi or jamayati etc you have become very focussed, very narrow in peronal identity, .... some are confused (our maseed is an example, sorry maseed to drag you here just as you got out of it.
We live in canada, in usa, in netherlands, in uk, ..... In the, politically, western world, and our views are indeed heightened, sharpened and at times jangri. even our pakistani conjoined twins are not immune to bizarre views held of afghanistan despite being so close sharing the zhiba. Those of us in uae, like me, we have our own apathies, most are either struggling to send money home driving taxis, selling carpets in fujaira or making millions in afghanistan and keeping family safe and out of it.

We are here brutalising each other with words, either for being extreme muslim, like the harassment bro maiwand gets, or supporting the big T or deigning to reject it, what ever, before we savage each other, we need to look inside and assess the honesty of our personal committments to ideologies.

                    Walaikumsalam.

This case appeared in the news and then never discussed. Check it out at other sources for reliability. British SAS dressed as arabs with weapons and explosives in their car were caugh by The Iraqis when they openned fire in Basra.

is that an escape tactic when you can't handle hard questions?

You can't hide behind conspiracy theories; you're going to have to face that the Taliban are just as corrupted as every other group.

heck I'd argue even MORE corrupted based on how much blood they spill.
