I felt almost relief when I saw the news.

I felt he was always a slippery eel, even back in probably his best time,
as head of the Afghan resistance party Jamiat-Islami.
    He seemed EMPTY.
As though no one home there.

So I think he only deteriorated after that.

Just a figurehead, anyway. The Western press can clamor about
how important he was as "head of a Peace Council" -
but this is just one of those window-dressing organizations
to make the Kabul regime look like "a nice guy" which is actually
DOING SOMETHING about resolving the chaos.

    It isn't.

Catya, I'm not sure why the news of the death of an Afghan with whom you seemingly have no connection, would bring you relief.

Except for those made victims or caught in the crossfire, there appear to be few completely blameless "innocents" in the Afghan conflict from the past 30 plus years. If there are, then show me that person.

It's amazing that you recite an arabic prayer to mourn a leader because he's Tajik

You realize however that Burhanuddin was a Pan-Islamist and not a Tajik Nationalist, right? he was never a resistance leader for Tajiks

O'faithful hearken thy vezir, for he promises them another Gandamak and for the ancestors of Hari Nalwa a similar fate has been sealed. We shall shake the foundations of their inner sanctums, written in gold and immortal will remain this endeavor of Afghans.

the criminals have taken the justice in their hands, instead of briging them to justice these hopless losers are eliminating every one. what good can it bring to afghanistan? this is another attempt to have new waves of civil war.

thousands died during "his" rule" , he killed hundreds of our best and most intelligent people , he sold our air planes as scrap metal to pakis , he mined our country

he burned down kabul for the sake of rawalpindistan , yes its a shame he died that way , he should have been put on trail by the afghan people .

why was he ousted by taliban ? why was hekmatyar kicked , why was dostum and massoud kicked ??? because they literally burned down afghanistan , more than the sowjets could ever do !!!!!

and he was defenetly not willing to bring peace OR share the power of his fellow buddies in kabul .he was actually an obstacale , for a share in power , so was ahmad walli .

which was not killed by the taliban , but removed by his american masters .

the americans are paving "politically " their way out , removing people who could make trouble .

Ahmad Wali was assassinated by the Taliban. It is confirmed by plenty of media reports and Sardar Muhammad's family that he became a Talib.

Jan Khan, Daud Daud, and Hamidi were also assassinated by the Taliban.

                              Scrap the conspiracy.

The reason Kabul expat officials like Karzai and Spanta want to put doubt into peoples mind is to give both themselves and their masters a false sense of security.

well , i dont know how old you are , or where you are from .

but today is everything blamed on taliban , the good the bad and the ugly .

i am from khandahr , and i know enough people , and i can asure you that the his bodyguard was no talib . and they had a personal feud plus support from outside .

                                but belive what you want
