Yes I did I lived in Kabul until the Fall and I was there when Mujahidin came and I meet Najeeb personally because he used to visit us in Qarabagh where we lived. Also some of our family were Khalqis (And some Ashrar) and during Najeeb changed sides and became part of Watan Party

it has nothing to do with liking him and he shouldnt be liked afterall for his crimes against Afghan people.

if you want to know about him look at his followers who joined the anti pashtun masood and if you want to know abotu masood look at his foloowers such as saleh abdollah etc.

That is some bias,Parchamis were nto all that educated, its the typical "being kabuli means educated, being rural means uneducated" "being Pashtun so you must be illiterate, being tajik you must eb smart"

Well again read some articles from Khalqis if you find any. Pashtuns were left at dark as they were majority from rural area whereas urban was where they had to travel to gain education, medication, etc. Brother I can see that you have not been to your watan. I wish you were there or at least old enough to see, Zahir Shah was a drunky who never really considered building Afghanistan. This is a fact you have to accept.

exactly so in this sense you can put kochis in Khalqi and those other in parchami and what has islamic law got to do with ismalis, they arent even considered muslims.
You got it mixed you I was referring to Sunnis and the Ismaili case was different.

                Never heard of this group
Well again I am glad I mentioned this means more research for you bro.

Parchamis were like the real atheist type of people in whos time immorality was common. The difference was that Khalqis were nationalists and Parchamis were plain communists.
Again Najeeb was nationalist and I am saying this but everyone who was in Parcham or Khalq knew that both of them wanted Pashtun unity. Remember Russia could only reach Indian Ocean by simply unity of Pashtuns, lol Russia supported Parcham on their Pashtun issues again brother you need to clear these misunderstandings, and remember even ANP was funded by Parchamis lol I am sure you have seen pictures of ANP leaders with Parchamis as well as with Najeeb. After the fall of Najeeb ANP was considered a bad apple and ANP had to face jail or become part of ISI, which is why in late 1990s ANP officially funded by ISI and even so to prosecute communist Afghans living in refugee camps and hunted from main cities of Pakistan.

Who says khalqis were only from rural areas and uneducated?

You may investigate if you want or ask those who have been in Khalq or Parcham functions.

Parchamis can be compared to setamis of today and those so called khurasanis.

Yes I agree since Karmal did had Setami supporters but again it was the Parchamis who dismantled them to except cities and held towns in the north of Badakhshan ? When Ahmad Shah Masud took their position in shahr-i-Bozorg in Badakhshan he was more harsh then the Parchamis and completely destroyed their town and killed many setamis. However the so called today's idiots of whom you are referring to are same Setamis but largely due to media power as well many uneducated idiots who know little about history somewhat defend Parchami at the same time are not not Parchamis, and many who where Parchamis today are not same Setamis. Don't get things confused bro.

These things were never revealed in Kabul nor published in media until his capture. The news media in regards to his crime during internal communist civil war 1987-1991 came after he was prisoned and it was published in Pakistan became famous in Refugee Camps in Pakistan specially in Karkhano Peshawar which was strong hold of Hekmatyar. Which was why first thing idiot taliban did was to kill him.

Yes I admit he was Head of Khad and so as well being President so What? Daud killed many as well as Nader Shah and Zahir Shah, never mind amanuallah who openly killed thousends of Safi and Niazi tribesman as well as famous religous leader of Sahieb Shorbazar along with his supporters. Tell me who is your leader and I will tell they killed more than Najeeb ever could. Just because of being a leader Khad doesn't mean he murdered with his own hands, yes he might signitured or approved some killings as working for russians so what? Karzai has killed atleast half a million by now. Bottom point he did noth held gun at anyones head nor promoted violence, despite all he was one and only Afghan who would be fit well for Afghanistan. A man with braincells as I call him, and such men are only born every 100 years.

I would not say that Zahir Shah did not have the interests of his people at hand. There were a number of things he did that deserve to be looked at. For example, his treaty with Germany was something that should have been a sign to those who followed that Afghanistan needed to strengthen its diplomatic relations more than anything.

I think Amanullah, while idiotic in his ill-thought modernization campaign still had the right idea when it came to building state institutions such as the army.

Najib was a Communist. This term nationalist is very problematic because the simple question you must ask is why
would a nationalist support the invasion of his own country? That is the same problem and lack of credibility that plagues the ANP and the Afghan "nationalists" in Kabul. They have lost all their respect for supporting drone attacks against their own people. You call these people nationalists? The word traitor matches them better.

Nationalism is a very fluid concept. There were nationalists among the mujahideen and commies. They just felt their approach and ideologies were best suited for the progress and development of their nation. Were there people subservient to foreign interests among the commies? Sure. But those elements existed amongst the mujahideen as well

To call the parchamis pro occupation ignores the fact that taraki personally pleaded for soviet troops.

Nick brother has done a good job breaking down the categories of commies

First of all Welcome to the forum.

I would not say that Zahir Shah did not have the interests of his people at hand. There were a number of things he did that deserve to be looked at. Well yeah Germans paid him as well as promised military Aid but this Zahir also sign treaty of nutrality? Right and after Germans lost to Russia he was scared to hell what did he do to Germans in his country? right so you get my point

Najib was a Communist. This term nationalist is very problematic because the simple question you must ask is why

You have a good point nationalism means different for different people. From where I see it he was interested in his brothers on the other side of the Durand line as well as understand and approved some of Daud's systems specially on Pashtu being official language, whereas Parchamis during their rules to gain more votes they had 5 national languages which was disrespect to Afghanistan land of Afghan, 2 languages are more than enough to me a nation should have one national language and over time people would adapt that language. I believe we must have single language as all languages are gift of God anyone can be chosen even English but I prefer Arabic.<--- that's my personal view of languages not being as important. Since I reject languages now that puts be in question am I a nationalist? you see I also support Pashtu speaking unity, for the better interest of Pashtuns and long term peace process<---- does that mean I am Pashtun nationalist? One member from this forum thought I have Pashtun mentality despite not being a Pashtun but yet I act like Pashtun.

You call these people nationalists? The word traitor matches them better
easily said but to answer the question why did they became communists? The question the world community often ignored and only understood by few people who had been in the system and regret their past as I know many Communists put dust to their head and state that they commit a crime and later tricked by communists
