Study "Tarikh-ul-Hind" of Tajik Al-Bironi ( Ahmad Shah Massoud founded a University in his name in Kapisa Province). A masterpiece of a history-writing, in it Biruni explains who "Afghans" were and how they were converted into Islam.

Al-Biruni worked at the court of Sultan Mahmoud of Ghazna and accompanied him to India. Pashtons, much later, eventually did adopt a culture and language that is massively influenced and inspired by Tajik culture and language. If you're to study about the movements of Darwaza (a Tajik, I think from Badakhshan) and Pir Rokhan (an Ansari Arab, very close to Tajiks), the lynchpins of the movements that awakened tribes against Mughal rule, you'll learn more.

          All the best.

They are using that land for their own benefit not ours, if they love us so much then why they are not protecting us from drone attacks.
Abdul Rahman Khan wasn't just Afghan King but he was Our King and now he did all this without telling our people so you can't blame your people for this.

I am not a afghan spokeman but I care about our Culture living on forever.
Look wrora its up to you, its your life, if you want to be a Pakistani loving Pathan then thats alright.
I know I will be teaching my Kids about our history and Culture...which Pakistani Schools don't.
in the 21st century pashtuns still d,nt know who they are and what their real name is?
it is the people of pashtunkhwa changed the name of pathans to pashtun in the international media. In our daily life non of us use pathan ,,only,,pukhtoon or pashtun, ask your dady to explain that to you.

whoever(afghani-pashtun or pashtunkhwa pashtun) cross the indus river to indain land (panjab or india) is called pathan but now in pakistan is changing and even the paki media use pakhtun not pathan.

ask those afghan-pashtun refugees lived in indai and punjab what the hindoes and panjabis called them.
The afghani-pashtuns like to be called afghans not pashtuns it is a recent thing for them.
The history of word afghan and pathan is not old enough.
            In simple words

afghan is our iranian name used by mugal court and iranians for pashtun
            pathan our indain name
            BUTTTTTTTTTT
WE ARE PASHTUNS AND NOTHING MORE
Check out what herodotus a greek historain called us ,,,,,pakhteen,,in his accent not afghan or pathan.
Khushal baba used both afghan and pashtun for us but let me remind you that he was living in mugal time therefore he use the word ,,afghan,,,.

It was malak ahmad shah abdali said ,,da dehli taht herawum chi rapayad shey da khpal khukali pashtunkhwa da ghra saruna.
malak yar gharsheen another pashtun poet did use pashtunkhwa in his poetry.
like i said you and many other need to check out the pashtun history to know more.
